Dwayne you come across as a fun, loyal friend with heart. When people loose their minds with actors for playing parts with different colours other than the original character need to reflect on their disdain for something that doesn't hold the characteristics of a person. I don't know but you come across as a fun loving man who would bring something of these characters.
I would rather he played a new char that could be made just as iconic as Bond. Or did all creativity die in the 20th century, and now we're supposed to just race/gender-swap everything instead of coming up with new great chars.
It's nothing to do with the actors, but the intent. And the intent of the ppl in charge is always shiity. And spare me the "they must have been best for the role" schtick, cuz that is simply not the case 99.9% of the times.
I LOVE The Rock. Have all my life. Ever since the Atitude Era wrestling days, but neither he nor Idris are the right choice for Bond. Saying this as an Indian, so not a white guy. I would also hate it just as much if some Indian played Bond, and we also have actors who could be just as great as Rock or Idris, but that isn't the point.
The point ALWAYS is respecting the source material & the fans who love that. And this race/gender-swapping in almost all cases is an extremely lazy way of cashing in on a great IP with the most minimal amt of effort. Cuz, no matter how trash something is, u can easily cover it up by calling all the criticism as just racists/sexists or trolls. That's exactly what they do, and all of u ppl fall for it so easily.

According to my pops, someone thats been reading DC and Marvel for decades now, Black Adam beat superman in one comic because superman has trouble facing opponents that use magic or have their abilities based on magic.
@@BorderlineBinge the bottom line is Superman gets his powers from a natural source (via the Sun) however Black adam gets his powers from powerful deities and so generally speaking magic trumps nature in DC

Magical ightning isn't stopping Superman when he's going beast mode . And, They recently started buffing Black Adam in the comics to have an excuse to why he's so OP coming into the DCEU.

I found somewhere that Black Adam won his first solo fight against superman. That's what the writers thought about him when they created him. But there is now a lot of variability in his origin story - A very powerful Anti hero or a decent villain.

Black Adam and Shazam have no problem defeating Superman because Superman has a magic weakness which is why in one comic story Wonder Woman was able to make a drinking mug out of his skull.
