Should’ve gone closer, deep into his molecules, then In his cells and even deeper in his atoms. Then I’d know what the rock really is cooking.

Interviewer: What is The Rock afraid of?
Me: Paper
brooo he should’ve said that ☠️
Knowing the Rock, he would have said that if the interview was done on very normal funny way cause the guy is very funny..
🤣🤣🤣🤣 good one!

Cool concept. When you can get the rock to take a second and feel uneasy when he's such an open and honest guy you know you got something deep and genuine.

Sometimes I think they should ask those questions to random people. That'd be also quite interesting.
Also, wow! The Rock is such a great guy and a gentleman.
You should look up the channel “soft white underbelly”. He does a lot of interviews with what most people would describe as “dregs of society” and it’s super amazing.
Love that idea
Awesome idea
@@OGM210 going to look that up. Thanks for the recommendation.
Totally agree. There really should be a number of outlets that just look at random people, totally random, and show them and their stories with the world. Everyone has a story and almost everyones main few stories are incredible. A channel or company that could pull that out of anyone would be a game changer. I would love to hear this exact kind of video but with people at random.
"But no, fame is a blessing"
This is what makes Dwayne special amongst celebrities. He understands that it's a privilege to have a wide outreach, to have a voice that people listen to. All the "downsides" you always hear famous people complain about are inconsequential when compared to what you can achieve and do for the world with fame.
exactly ❤️

i wouldn’t call being hated and judged by millions of people for the rest of your life inconsequential but go off

As a man, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the man of men. He is at the top of the top. Such a huge inspiration. Such a role model and figure to aspire to be like. I met him back in 2002 at a local gym in Denver while he was the biggest heel in the WWF (at the time). I did not like his character AT ALL because Stone Cold Steve Austin was my guy. But I’ll never forgot how charismatic and kind he was. The man without a doubt is a legend.
Epic 💯❤️

I just love how he actually ponders the question instead of throwing something out. That's amazing to me. You feel like he's just a regular guy. Best thing about fame is making people happy. How COOL is that!
RIGHT! I thought a selfish response to that question and then he answered like that. And the not complaining about it to me really shows that he knows what’s on the other side, and how grateful he feels
I love how he takes his time to really take in the question. feels like he answers really authentically
True :)
He seems so genuine... This is a man that deserves everything he has in life.
I feel like the rock is my father and he just taught me some valuable life lessons
😆
You can see it in his eyes how he poured his heart out in to every answer.
Something just comfortable about this guy. Im not even a big fan but it’s one of those rare times where I totally understand their success and fame and can be completely happy for them.
I feel the same way.
he is such a special person, you can feel his humble energy

Dwayne Johnson is a class act. He has genuinely expressed the importance of being yourself and I like that because if you can't be yourself then who can you be.
best thing about being famous? "making people happy." that is called humility.
"What is The Rock afraid of?"
should have answered "The Paper"
The best thing is that he’s genuine, he says how good stuff he has is, and says everything bad that’s happened to him. He is so honest
I really respect dwayne espacilly when he said " thats between me and a few other loved ones", about the abandenment,
This man and his philosophies on life are amazing. He is such a positive influence. :)
there is a reason why everyone LOVES The Rock and a lot of women's crush..I wish there were more like him.
You are enough. Being yourself. 🤞🏼
be yourself and be kind and accepting to everyone, if you do that.. you'll be loved

Soothing? I feel like suiting kinda works too for some reason 😂
One thing that stuck out to me on this interview was the question about the worst side of fame. Many celebrities will say things about getting recognized and not having privacy and things like that, but he seems to be absolutely content with himself. It really shows how happiness is a choice, especially when you are someone as famous as The Rock.
The way Dwayne is as a person makes me emotional 😢 I really love his values and his heart !
Ahh well said :)
We gotta get some rappers and comedians on here that would be meme gold
I'm pretty sure they did Hassan Minhaj, he is a comedian.

Almost every other actor in the world would immediately have something to complain about when asked, “what’s the worst part about being famous?” His answer to that question showed how deeply humble he really is.
VF, you really knocked it out of the park with this interview.
The questions were thoughtful, respectful and inspirational. Dwayne really considered each and every question, he answered so genuinely with such thoughtfulness it had me tearing up more than a few times throughout the entire interview.
Thank you VF for allowing people to see a genuine, beautiful side of Dwayne Johnson... not just the personas he's known for... the wrestler, the actor, the comedian, but a true human being, an authentic gentleman and a beautiful soul.
vf: "if people could remember 1 thing about you what would it be?"
the rock: "it's about drive. it's about power. We stay hungry, we devour.
This is seriously wonderful. Kudos to everyone who designed this whole script and cam movement and actual questions. Thank you so much.
Should celebrities be asked personal questions like, "When in your life did you feel most abandoned?"
@@Amir-yx1pb If they do not object, yes. It's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission when it comes to things like that.
It's not that bad. People aren't usually that soft that they can't tolerate a personal question like that. But it's different for everyone. If they don't wanna answer, they don't have to answer. There isn't much more to it than that really.
I love how genuine he naturally is.

I remember that period (2005-2010) when Rock did interviews and sensed the internal conflict he must have felt having to sidestep questions about wrestling to try and become another company's version. He hasn't looked back since 2011 👊🏽
In 2011 Fast and Furious was his big break, also the John Cena matches were very big back then.
I love how kind he is.
Was not expecting to get choked up by an interview with Dwayne Johnson, but man am I grateful that I was. Phenomenal idea VF and thank you for making this happen.
I must say these kind of interviews with SLOW ZOOM, CALM MUSIC, INTELLECTUAL QUESTIONS are just so amazing. They must make these more often and yes I thoroughly enjoyed it. 👏👏
Thanks for this Dwayne. I have my own demons in my past. Getting through that and using my energy to help others is exactly what I try to strive for. This was a great video.
This is the first time i've seen the rock actually wanting the interview go longer haha, just shows how much he enjoyed it. Great person, hope you're doing well dj.

Love this. Completely raw and real. Thank you for all the blood, sweat and tears that you put in working your craft. Giving us the fans so much great memories whether it be in the ring or with the movie industry or just in life. ❤💯
It's such an interesting balance this VF series walks, a virtual knife's edge - that space between uneasy vulnerability when being asked something private or emotionally touching; and balancing that with an environment n' space that is warm, inviting n' open enough to engender honesty in all the answers! Dwayne's natural warmth n' forthrightness plays in this format so well.
This is pretty cool. He answers the questions as if knows his kids will continue to watch this 20, 30, 40 years in the future.
