the invisible thing is called the after image technique, he just moves so fast it creates an image of where he was in the past
It was also a pretty common technique in the original Dragon Ball series. I think it was ‘one of’ the first techniques Goku learned.
well thats the thing where goku went through cell at the beginning, when you simply can't see them its because they are moving so fast light does not reach them, and without light you cant see them

A lot of techniques used in this fight are all classic Dragon Ball techniques combined with this insane power level they’ve reached. The invisibility isn’t invisibility. It’s a technique called the afterimage. It’s a technique where the user basically makes an illusion of themself by accelerating in place at an instantly fast speed, that it forms a duplicate fake. The multi form technique is a Tien technique he used. It’s from the original martial art school Tien trained at called Crane School
When they're disappearing it's not because they're teleporting or going anywhere. It's just because they're supposed to be moving faster than what the eye can see
This is correct. But it's also worth noting that when you see them fade after getting hit by an attack, that is actually the after image technique.

It's because using Kaioken with regular super saiyan will put too much stress on his body. One mistake while controlling his ki and he's done for. It's gonna be explained later in Dragon Ball Super.
Also it's not as equal as it looks. Cell was holding back a good amount of his power, while Goku was going all out

It’s also good to know that cell has holding back considerably against goku. If cell wanted he could of ended the fight early, but his saiyan cells wouldn’t let him miss out on a good fight
When I was first time watching this fight I thought they were equal but as soon as I realised Cell was holding back, I was too dissapointed :(

In case you didn't know, the multi-form technique is Tien's move from the original Dragon Ball that he used against Goku at the World Tournament. So this fight is a recreation of that one, which is cool. (Also one of my favorite fights in the whole series)

The kamehameha teleportation is quite known in DBZ ( especially in games ) it's sad it wasn't shown in Kakarot

Kaioken is too unstable to use with Super Saiyan. It's explained that he would literally explode if he tried because of the way Super Saiyans energy output works.
He does use Super Kaioken in the Otherworld Tournament against Pikkon. It's a filler arc and not in the manga, but it was cool to see.

The 4 Cell in each corner using piccolo's move against Goku isn't in the manga, but seems to be a reference to the first fight between Tien and Goku, where Tien did the same thing against him with his Solar Flare
Most of the time when they “teleport” or disappear they’re just moving too fast for humans to see (hence why Cell could see Goku’s attacks but the humans were kinda lost)
Keep in mind at this point DBZ characters can move faster than the speed of light

Exactly, a lot of people just say he’s an idiot and honestly I blame DBS for that, it made him a complete dimwit. He’s a genius in battle and in Z he had an average intelligence with occasional stupid moments like people usually have.

@@jaycienlovelace3123 I know and that annoys me. The part with him not kissing Chi-Chi before is ridiculous. He’s kissed her and/or been kissed by her before in canon. It showed her kiss him and he didn’t react like a child like he did in DBS when he saw Trunks give Mai CPR. Plus, Chi-Chi definitely wouldn’t have not kissed him with how excited she was about finally getting to marry him.
Plus a lot of other things he does outside of battle in Super. They made him too stupid. It’s like they never watched DBZ and saw his intelligence in and out of battle from it. I’m disappointed with how they wrote him.
The ghost/delayed hit thing that Goku did is part of the “Afterimage” technique which is just people moving so fast they leave afterimages. The original Dragon Ball once considered it a special movement tech, but now that the Androids and Saiyans casually make afterimages in Dragon Ball Z it’s only really impressive when someone dodges sure-hit attacks out of nowhere. Then theres Goku’s “Instant Transmission” technique; either Goku focuses and teleports instantaneously over extremely long distances by using that finger salute of his as a sort of built-in radar antenna, or he does a short-range teleport without the salute to launch a “Warp Kamehameha”.
Oh yeah - the multi-form technique that Cell used is basically Naruto’s Shadow Clone jutsu but it divides the user’s power per clone instead of copying it perfectly. In Dragon Ball Z, it’s an imperfect move that pretty much only Tien uses for strategy reasons. 👍

I think they were pretty evenly matched. It's just that Cell can't really fatigue because of his regeneration, so for him, an even matchup is ultimately a win. If Goku were serious and gave it everything he had, he probably could have killed Cell, but he didn't because he wanted Gohan to be the one to do it.

The thing Goku has been doing to “turn invisible” is actually a technique that has been around since og dragon ball. It’s called the afterimage, it’s where you move so fast that your opponent sees you where you used to be a very short time ago since their reaction time hasn’t adjusted yet. Try this, if you move your hand really fast you will see your hand sort of move to that location lagging behind the actual motion. And if you flap your hand back and forth really fast you will see it in several locations at once. Think of a fan spinning, the blades seem to visually cover the entire circle even though they only cover a portion of the circle’s area. This is because eyesight lags behind the capabilities of someone’s fastest movements and therefore there is a lag effect on your perception of someone else’s very fast movements.
Goku didn’t turn into a ghost lol the technique is called afterimage if you go back to your 17 vs Piccolo fight you will see Piccolo use it on 17 (i noticed you didn’t notice when it happened lol)

They aren't actually disappearing, they are just moving really fast. When Goku uses Instant transmission, he actually does disappear because he actually teleports.
You definitely missed the best part of this fight though. When they move extremely fast and keep teleporting all over the ring.

They disappear because they're moving too fast to be tracked, they aren't disappearing, also Goku didn't turn into a ghost, he used an after image to trick cell into thinking he was going to attack at that moment to make him let his guard down

It's interesting. You can actually see Goku getting more and more out of breath while Cell doesn't even break a sweat.
That goes to show that Goku fought with all he had while Cell was still holding back a lot.
This fight and SSJ2 goku and majin vegeta is the type to where if people say all dragon ball does is scream and send ki blast at each other i show them this and also all the dragon ball fights. I'll say this i like the eng version of this fight then the dub as it actually catches the moments of how everything is going the surprise the scaredness from others and overall who's empowering who.
When Vegeta said *wait till you see me* he means it they didn't show it in cutscenes in kakarot but in the anime the whole z squad was actually holding their own against the cell juniors except Krillin he was over whelmed after one scene

heads up that goku can’t stack kaioken with super saiyan, he can do it later on with a different form but that’s because that form is more about control while super saiyan + kaioken is just rage on top of rage and it’ll probably kill him
there might be some iterations where he does combine kaioken and super saiyan but those are non-cannon

Honestly after watching kai, the fights in the original are so freaking slow paced, it doesn't even feel like a fight between people who can destroy stars bigger than the sun and fly thousands of times faster than light
Many people will say that slower fights have more weight but that's not that true
Kai is better than the original in almost every way even bruce faulconer score doesn't fit sometimes
agreed, while i love the bruce falconer score, if I had to recommend someone to watch dragon ball z i would always point towards kai its just so much better

Kai have some really weird cuts between the fights and in z the slow paced fights are actually better as it gives some breathing room and also enhances the drama

All those fighting techniques Goku used were learnt by him while he was a kid... He was trained by Master Roshi,Kami. Spirit Bomb and Kaioken r the new techniques he learnt in this series

Imagine if cell just gave up after he got knocked out of the ring and just had a normal life on earth
On the main storyline of Z, he never tried stacking Kaioken on top of Super Saiyan as it was very very risky, but there was one filler episode that he did tried and it's a only very short burst. The first time he did it officially was when he achieved Super Saiyan blue since they trained to control their Ki to achieve God form and it made their bodies somewhat more durable to endure the strain - Goku can handle kaioken and Vegeta survived when he used the final explosion w/c is kind of last resort tecnique.

They are faster than the human eye way back when in og DB. But Dbz slows the action scenes down so we can see, when they disappear they are just increasing their speed quickly in battle to the point we lose sight of them and what they are doing.
I told you they left so much out in kakarot, the afterimage technique, the multiform technique that cell uses because he compromises of Tiens DNA. Also Goku powering up in ss, the long fight of punching back and forth when they weren't even fighting at full power and the long z vanishing battle. But the thing that was the most important that left out was the instant transmission Warp Kamehameha that goku uses in this fight. They left so much stuff out.
Fun fact when someone uses the multiform technique: Their power level is cut into however many parts their divided into. But once the form ends the host strength returns to normal.
And for your reference, Cell was stronger than goku in this fight. He wasn't that much stronger but it was enough to where when Goku hit him with a Warp Kamehameha it didn't completely destroy him. And when he regenerated he regained a lot of his strength.
I would estimate cell was only using 80% of his maximum strength while goku was fighting at max power.

That right there is the 50x multiplier. Against Frieza, Goku's transformation yielded a roughly 10-15x boost. This is why Goku was able to get so far ahead of Vegeta. Vegeta's SSJ wasn't maxed out, so it's safe to assume his transformation didn't yield more than a 20-25x boost.
So you are saying x20 kaioken was stronger than SSJ Goku because SSJ Goku on Namek was only 10-15x base Goku? Lol
