    It’s 2022 and you just rocked my world! I have been watching video after video and they were all Stampin Up which I didn’t need. I was getting discouraged. Then I was researching Google which had expensive cling backing sheets - I got more discouraged. Then your video came up on my recommended list and this is what I needed! I have the glue on hand! I did see another video using Fun Foam to add the stamped image on back - add more Tack-It. Thank you so much for this!!!!

    Great video...I know this is older lol. That Aleens is terrific! I know it seems a hassle, but I stamp the image on a thin piece of acetate or vellum, fussy it cut around the image then glue it to the back of the stamp and put the Aleens on top of the acetate...I use acetate sheets because they do not wear down or decompose from the Aleens . I don't mind the extra steps but I know it would not be worth it to many lol :)

    • @naysworld
      @naysworld  Před 5 lety +3

      Wonderful idea! I'm sure the extra step is worth it. Great to know the glue won't ruin the acetate or vellum.

    thanks so much for your video. great work! I stamped my stamps on plain paper, then laminated the sheets. once I finished getting them done, I store them on those, that I keep in page protectors in a note book.

      will the stamp stick to the laminated image? I am new to stamping, but have picked up many wooden backed stamps & would like to convert to cling...

    • @naysworld
      @naysworld  Před 6 lety +3

      wylie jones yes, it should be fine on the laminate sheets. Just be careful about the amount of glue you use, should be a thin layer. Too much glue and its a mess. I recommend trying on a stamp you don't care for at first. Have fun!

  • @connieheitz8982
    @connieheitz8982 Před 6 lety +4

    Best one I have seen so far. So many want to add more foam on the back or leave the foam that is there. Doesn't seem to me that that would do much good when using a stamping tool. AND the others went on and on and on and some were not organized. Thanks so much for a great tutorial that wasn't forever long!!!

      What do you store the actual unmounted stamps on? I have a bunch from a yard sale, and I have categorized them, and now I need to stick them on something and store. Do you find that you do not need the foam on the back of them? I have a piece of foam in my Tim Holtz stamping tool, (like the Misti) and I guess that will give it enough "spring."

    Hugh tip. I just learned that when u heat the wood stamp, u can peel the image off the block. How cool is that? Also, if the foam peels off with the rubber, you not just leave it on?

    • @naysworld
      @naysworld  Před 3 lety +1

      Really!? What a time saver. The foam didn't always come away from the block in one piece and if it did the adhesive on it gave me issues. Thanks for the tip, I'm definitely going to try that.

      Great video! This is just what I needed! I have masses of stamps I need to remove from the wood. One thing I would suggest is instead of using the masking tape method you could just trim the rubber. I don't know if it's still the case but years ago when I was a Stampin' Up demo all of their stamps came unmounted and you had to trim the rubber before placing it on the block. I spent MANY an hour trimming stamps lol! Just be sure to use really sharp scissors. Blessings and thanks for the video 😉😉👍👍
