- Remove Rubber Stamps from Wood Blocks Easily,
Some rubber stamps are not made the same quality so be careful & test a small stamp first.
DISCLAIMER: (This is what I do & can’t be responsible for your stamp collection.) Some stamps will come off of their wooden blocks easily. What I do is pop the red rubber wooden stamps into the microwave for about 10 seconds then another 10 if needed. That will loosen the glue on the wood, and you will be able to peel off the rubber stamp with foam. Then just store it on plastic sheet, and if it's not sticky enough, add some Aleene's Tack-It Over & Over to them works great make sure you let it dry overnight.

This is my 2nd comment had to let you know this worked like a charm. So thrilled thank you, thank you, thank you.
Aww You’re very welcome Susie, I really appreciate you letting me know. I just Purchased several stamps from Hobby Lobby, first thing I did was take them off the block & have them stored with my other stamps. To me it saves a ton of room, and easier to work with. Hobby Lobby, is having 75% off of some of their supplies in case you need something, Happy Crafting❤️
Instead of sticking the image from the wood block on paper you can stick it to the back of the foam part that you peeled off then cut off the excess. Then you have the image on the back of the rubber and if it is a shiny sticker then it may cling to an acrylic block. If it won’t cling then get some Tack it Over and Over from Aleen’s and it will make it sticky.
Thank you for your question Valerie,
it's not a cling mount material so it wouldn’t work on a stamp/positioner. A lot less work the way I do it to put Aleen’s Tack-It over & over you would need to do several applications then let it dry. If you want to do it that way you can, but I look at the app I’ve it’s called Airtable, and I upload all the information along with pictures of all my stamps & die-cuts. When I start making a card I checkout the app to see what I want to do.❤️
What a fantastic idea! Thank you!
You’re very welcome Donna, Thank you for watching my CZcams videos❤️
Thanks so much for this video…I have sooo many wooden stamps and need to use them more but never can get to them. Project craft room is happening. Have a blessed day!!!
You’re very welcome Cynthia, so glad the video helped you out. Hope you’ve a Happy New Year❤️
Thank you, just what I needed!
Shery, You’re very welcome, Thank you for your comment, and support for my channel❤️
I just found this, which is perfect as I was just gifted with a shoebox of stamps. This has been a huge timesaver! Thank you! The problem I’m having, however, is that some of them are adhered to the block with foam. Do you have any idea how I can detach the foam from the wood as putting them in the microwave for the 20 seconds, does not work. TIA
I’m so glad this helped you out, but as far as the other stamps I would need to see them & what they’re made out of. I’ve a group I started on Facebook. I’ll put in the link, and I’ll be able to help you out more. I really need to see them.

@marisewesign2523 I use Airtable, it’s wonderful it’s a lot of work, but has saved me money already you’ll never purchased the same stamps or diecuts again. Just don’t forget to look at your app before you buy any. Thank you for your comments I hope this helps you ❤️
