    The part that broke me the most BY FAR was when this scene right here:

      The bracelets!!! when she talked about them and I think some of the lines that just made me sob even harder was when Tessa said how she kept forgetting that Will was gone and she would wake up and turn to say good morning to Will and would be upset when she remembered he was gone or when she would hear something funny and would turn to tell Will but he was gone ughhhh I cried through the entire Epilogue I just felt my heart shattering over and over each line a stab to my heart!!!!! He is by far my fave character ever...so reading Clockwork Princess made my heart bleed. But my fave part of the book was actually when he died. I finished this book like 6 hours ago. I was bawling my eyes out in the kitchen and my friends were asking what was wrong. Oh! This book was sooo satisfying. I can't even say more. I wrote a long comment on Goodreads, but kinda spoilery. I LOVED the Cross country scenes. So romantic, Will travelling so far. And I'm so glad Balios didn't die. I loved the scenes when Will first learned of the severed connection, but I kinda wanted him to grieve more. He reacted in a typical Will way, but I did expect more tears. Guess it was more anger and emptiness tho. This last book in particular has opened my eyes to parabatai. The bond Will and Jem have. So beautiful. I proposed to my bff that we should be parabatai. We're gonna memorize the whole vow speech and get matching tattoos in the future.
    While writing this... Does anyone know if parabatai symbols have to be in the same spot on both people? I don't have the codex yet, and I googled but the info was never specified.

    I just finished the TID series today. By the angel, I cried so much. I wasn't too surprised when we found out Jem was Brother Zachariah, because Pinterest is the WORST possible place to go when you're looking for some fan art inspiration. I laughed so hard at Magnus too. When he was talking about how all the lightwoods look the same to him, and when he walked in on Tessa and Will! I found the whole Tessa is half Shadowhunter half demon thing interesting, didn't see that coming. My favourite parts of the book are definitely when Jem and Will first meet, when Jem plays his song for Tessa, when Jem finds out Will loves Tessa, when Henry and Magnus create the portal, and the epic fight scene all the way to the end. Cassie is such a fantastic writer, and she really plays with your emotions. She was so creative, especially at the end. Although, the epilogue...Cassie, don't make my heart throb like that. Don't tell me that Will and Tessa live happily ever after, then tell us about his death!!! Oh and when they found a cure for Jem! I just want an epilogue in COHF where Jem, Tessa and Magnus sit down and have story time with the TMI characters! This series is definitely on the top five list, maybe even top three. It was amazing, I will definitely be re reading this. Now I just have to wait for City of Heavenly Fire to come in and then I will be finished the TMI series too!!

    Just finished clockwork princess last Sunday and it was epic just like the whole ID trilogy. And really, in my opinion, this book really just proves that this trilogy is better than TMI series in a lot of ways. It's not that I don't like TMI series, I still really like that series, but I just felt like the characters and everything else about TID was way more developed than TMI and even the writing of TMI was superior to TMI. And to me one of the best things about this trilogy was Jem and Wills parabatai bond. When you compare their bond to Jaces and Alec's bond...there is just no comparison. And I also think Tessa is way more likeable and a way better character than Clary. It's not that I don't like Clary but Tessa is just a much more well-rounded character in my opinion. But yeah I am still kind of bummed out that this epic trilogy is over but I feel like the ending was awesome, how Clare tied up everything. Plus both Will AND Jem ended getting to be with the girl they loved. Now I'm back reading TMI series, currently on City of Fallen Angels, and I'm enjoying it a lot but I can't help but feel a bit empty inside.

    I also absolutely loved the scene in the end at the christmas party!!! I was laughing so hard!
    "Mr. Rochester never courted Jane Eyre," Tessa pointed out.
    "No, he dressed up as a woman and terrified the poor girl out of her wits. Is that what you want?"
    "You would make a very ugly woman."
    "I would be stunning."
    Tessa laughed. "There," she said. "There is Will..."

    YES finally! This book blew my mind with the feels! Jem constantly either melted or broke my heart but the ending was so satisfying! So epic! So woah! By the way wasnt it crazy when Will cut his hand with Jem's knife to have their last "together place"?!

    My favourite scenes :
    Charlotte comforting Gabriel
    Will putting his hands in the fire for Jem
    Cecily and Will speaking Welsh (I speak Welsh!)
    I think Gabriel really grew as a person in this book!

    I have never sobbed more with the ending of a book in my life.. I had to stop to blow my nose and clear out my eyes from tears because i couldn't even keep reading my vision was blurring... Will's death KILLED ME! And then the time jump to 2008 and Jem and Tessa omg i was screaming!!!

  • @Katmiller-dv3lc
    @Katmiller-dv3lc Před 7 lety

    The part that made me literally break was when Tessa burned her hand after Will confessed his love for her. I had stop, gather my thoughts, cry a lot, then continue. The look on Will's face after she told him about the engagement broke my heart and soul and I just couldn't keep it together.

    I know I'm like five years late to this, but I just finished the series and wow, I didn't expect it to be as impactful on me as it was.
    The epilogue completely broke me. I couldn't stop crying, and I don't cry at books very often. I felt just so empty at the end, I couldn't bring myself to read any other books, just reflect on the events. One of the saddest books I've ever read by far.

    Magnus is, hands down, the best character of the whole Shadowhunter-series. In Clockwork Princess, where he supported Tessa after Will's death, was definitely the most heart-breaking scene personally for me CRIES

  • @bethbaggins1309
    @bethbaggins1309 Před 7 lety

    Never in my life have I cried so much reading a book as I did reading Clockwork Princess. I am devastated that the cure was not found until Will was dead, as the most heart breaking part of this story (to me) was the way in which Jem and Will were separated when Jem became a SB.
    Though by the epilogue I wasn't sure whether I was crying tears of grief or happiness. I'm emotionally drained!

  • @meredithwiederspahn954

  • @elig.velasco3594

    You basically pointed out everything I had to say Jesse. I held off the tears literally most of the book and then when Will felt he freaking felt his Parabatai connections breaking and he was like dizzy and throwing up my heart just 💔 the line "Jem was dead." I had tears in my eyes but I didn't cry... Yet. Then the freaking dang epilogue I couldn't hold it in and I bawled out all the emotions of heartbreak and grief when Will.... Ahhhh I can't I'm tearing up as I write this but really though this trilogy is probably my favorite trilogy ever! the ending was so heartbreaking yet satisfying like dear Mrs. Cassandra Clare you are a writing God just bless your imagination and heart
