Hey guys, thanks for watching. The 3 most common questions I’m getting in the comment section are:
1) will it last long?
2) 3000w peak power is not possible.
3) that’s not a line array
I reached out to ProReck and got a few answers:
To answer the first question, they do have a 1 year warranty on it (I should have added that to the video). And they’ve also sold products on Amazon for 10 years and said they respond to customer service inquiries within 48 hours. A 1 year warranty is definitely helpful. I will just say, that’s always part of the risk when buying cheaper. Take care of it, and don’t push this thing beyond its limit and with a 1 year warranty included, you should be good 👍
2) the peak power of 3000w seems very very unlikely to be reached. But as I mentioned, continuous and RMS is more important. I’m trying to understand some of this myself, and they sent over the graph of their subs hitting 400W each and the tops hitting 100W each, so 1000W RMS, which is the amount you should be looking at anyways. They said there is a 3:1 ratio that is applied to many speakers, which I’ve done a little more research and I’ve found other discussions on Reddit claiming this as well, with multiple people saying “how is that possible?” Lol. So my understanding is that “peak” should often just be ignored as it’s unlikely to reach that level. And especially how I emphasize I wouldn’t use this for more than 200/250 people for a band should be taken into consideration more than the peak wattage (and that’s true for other systems as well… pay attention to continuous and RMS).
3. I should have shown how it does angle the speakers like a line array, and you can build on them. I filmed it, but never added it. These are NOT going to be a large line array like you see at festivals, but they do have that curved shape and you can add more. There does seem to very a disagreement on what counts as an actual “line array” system it seems like as well (some call the EV 50 system “line array” for example). They do angle the speakers, or you can have them flat, and you can add more on top. That might be a better way to understand it 👍
One final point that others have pointed out: my band is a 3 piece and we do have a smaller drum kit. Having a larger band might produce different results. We are also all direct and in ears in my band. A full drum kit and large guitar amps might get different results. But for most bands I think it will be okay within the limitations I mention in the video. Again, the 8000 option is also available for larger projects and They do also have the PR-212T system for bigger projects as well.
Thanks again for watching as well as for the questions and comments. Hope that helps! 🤘🤘
i think Peak rating is always an ideal thing, tested with the 1k sine wave or something... haha i don't fully understand it either, but i never look at peak. i worked in MI and at a certain point every company only told the Peak rating to make it seem louder than it really is. gotta search for the continuous number, or just divide by 2.
i'm so glad they got back to you on this, a 1000w system is nothing to sneeze at especially if it sounds good and it's a good sign that they are comfortable talking real numbers like that.
My rule of thumb is look for the peak SPL - wattage is not really meaningful as speaker efficiency varies so much. And then when you have the peak SPL number, knock at least 10db off and you will have what you are actually going to get in reality. Our band PA system runs at just under a measured 120db full chat (the manufacturers figures are 2x15 1000w peak subs and 2x12 + compression driver 1200W peak full range tops). We play mostly outdoor events for up to 200 people with a full drum kit, keys, 2 guitars, bass and 4 vocals.
I’m am planing on getting one for my 3Kingz gospels group it’s a good start affordable set up
I mean, how much power can you spect for a 600 dollar speakers?
We need to learn that every speaker and equipment in general has their limits and to not ask them to do more than they’re designed for.
I am a diesel mechanic by day and wedding singer/DJ on the weekends. I have a nice Peavey 115D system with a powered 18" sub. I've had the system for nearly 10 years and it still works great but, as my audiences got bigger, I decided I needed a little more punch from my rig. I bought this exact ProReck Club 6000 system at the end of summer 2023. I initially bought it as an add-on to my Peavey system for more sound. It became apparent very quickly that all I needed to pack for my gigs would be the ProReck system. This thing is STUPID POWERFUL and CLEAR for the money!! I run my DJ contoller into the system and just pull down the highs and mids ever so slightly, brightness issue solved!!! I've never had a need to turn the sub volume or master volume past 75%. I have yet to get close to maxing this system out. I've ran it every weekend for the past 10 months (sometimes twice a week) without fail. I also had local bands running their sound thru my ProReck system without issue. This thing ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!!!
Nice!! Glad it’s been working so well for you 🤘 Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for reviewing this, Scott. I've wondered about this exact PA. Good to know it could be a winner
I love that the subwoofer on their site says "Enough Bass" -- you gotta respect that.
Hahaha I didn’t notice that, that’s funny!
I remember the old Bentley spec sheet:
Horsepower: Adequate
Torque: Equally adequate 😂
lol
Thanks for the comprehensive review and recommendation. Also, you are a natural teacher / instructor. Your video is very well crafted and easy to learn from. Like any good teacher...you lead in a certain direction but you allow the "student" to make up their own mind. Rare! Bravo!
Thank you!
Great review and thanks for all the great footage and audio samples with it. Very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the review! That's definitely going on my budget gear list.
Thanks for watching!
I am 74 and started playing in the NW when I was 16. PA of choice, Bogen amp with Atlas horns. The bigger the Bogen and horns, the bigger and better you were perceived by the audience and other bands. I had a shure standup column portable PA. Very versatile and portable. And then….lots o PA stuff….big investment….you guys and gals are so lucky to have such versatile and affordable gear. More time to play, right?
Good god, the Bogen and its' KT88 power tubes. Until the DC300 it was the only game in town.
Bogens still occasionally pop up for sale, but only converted to use as guitar amp. & I've NEVER seen an Atlas horn. Unfortunately. (I'm into vintage hifi). At least i don't believe i have.
At this point I am thrilled at the amount of portable and compact gadgets and virtual instruments I have access to compared to 10 years ago.
That sounds excellent. I like how clean it sounds. Saving this for later for future Dj needs
Nice!
Great video Scott for another review. This really makes me think of looking into this system. $600, this is crazy
Yeah, I can’t believe it’s only $600!
Scott … I’ll say it again and again … your substantive content on your videos is unmatched … and you continue to get better and better on how you deliver the messages on your videos … just absolutely fantastic …. no one is even close to being so helpful for musicians understand so many important topics … Scott Uhl = “TOP SHELF” …. thank you again ….
Thanks man 🙏 I sincerely appreciate it!
Thanks Scott. Great detailed review. I showed it to my band and it instantly convinced them to pull the trigger on the 6000 to replace our patchwork system.
Nice! Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
THANK YOU FOR THIS! I have montiors and want my own mains. Love what you do, Scott!
Thank you 🙏
This is great timing! I have the Proreck Party 10 and love it. 2 speaker system for like $500, and it sounds great. Very easy to setup and for a 10" sub with 4 x 3" tweeters it packs a punch. I have been thinking of grabbing the Club 6000, so, excited that you're doing this review. Whenever I need gear, your YT channel is the only place I need to go. Thanks for all you do to help us out!
Thank you!
Thanks for this! I've been looking for a secondary PA, this is perfect for my budget!
Great review man! Im an old veteran dj looking to get back to spinning music. This video was very helpful. Ive been eye balling the 4000 and 6000
Very cool system for the few gigs we actually need a P.A system. A bit more expensive here in Canada, but for just under $1000 still great.
Great little rockin' band! Sounds awesome, excellent demo, can't beat the value. You always make great videos.
Thank you 🙏
Hey Scott, just wanted to stop by and say since I started watching your channel recently I have taken you up on your recommendations on economical wireless products along with your KLIQ AirCell Guitar strap you have been spot on these items. Thank you for all your in depth input you provide this community. Keep them coming..
Thank you! And I’m glad you’ve found those other products helpful. That KLIQ strap is a life saver!
@@ScottUhlMusic Yes it definitely helps with keeping that pain away. I also sent you an email, if your going to be in Georgia anytime soon or this year, would love to come out and meet you as well.
Bought this and used your code for the discount. I’m impressed with the system so far. Thank you for your excellent review and your channel.
Thanks for letting me know! Glad you like it 🤘
I've seen these online but always questioned how good it was! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
That front man was killlllling it! great review and real world demo
Thank you! And yeah, Anthony is a great front man 🤘
Excellent Review as always! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks again!
Great videos great information
Great review (as always). Unbelievable value for what you get. Would be a little worried about the quality of the components and the longevity of the units. Your reviews for us musicians who play live are always full of good ideas and very good advice. Thanks for doing these. Looks like a really fun night at that bar (great stage) and peeps were def having fun. The singer is really good.
Thank you! And yeah, that is a fair point since I only used them at 2 shows. But the reviews on these are pretty positive. And thanks, Anthony has an insane range of songs he can do!
@@ScottUhlMusic I've shared this video with the band. We're going to talk about buying this as our live gigs often have us breaking down our rehearsal space to haul our gear to the venue (if the venue doesn't already have sound).
Keep up the good work Scott! 👍🏾
Thank you!
Awesome videos… 👍keep it coming 😁
Thanks!
Thank you for the excellent video. As someone who's thinking about performing again after a 20 year break, I am absolutely breathless with the new PA options and pricing.😊
Nice! And glad it was helpful 🤘
Scott. I believe this was the Most honest, Informative and usefull review I have seen on a PA system EVER. Most of all "Honest" review with Video clips and weighing pros and cons and practical use cases.. GREAT JOB My Man.. I think I might get this whole system instead of getting a single Mackie 15" Sub for around the same price just to try it.
Thanks! I appreciate that! I always try to use my gear live before doing a review on it 🤘
Stick with the mackie. Even as cheap a brand that is it is miles better than this! Get a pair of mackie tops and an icoa 18 sub from ld systems and you will sound a lot better!!! Run your sound through a mixer before hooking up to your speakers and watch how your sound will improve! Trust me on this,, he is only after the affiliate on this one..
Great video man. Edited very well. Informative and honest.
That price point is insane. I am a DJ and have been thinking about getting a mini line array system. Would prob go with the 18”s and the three tops as I like a lot of thump as a lot of sound.
Thanks so much for the really good breakdown.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🤘
You've convinced me, I also have several size groups depending on $$$ I will have smaller groups while also using using backing tracks , Hope it works as I was currently looking to purchase some mains (using some JBL double 15 columns way way to heavy) thanks again great video as always
Great review sounded excellent for the price thanks Scott 👍
Thanks for watching!
Happy to help! :). Sorry if the camera moves a bit- even after 7 (SEVEN! 😂) years, I have never seen the same show twice - and I still can’t help but dance to certain songs! 🥰
You’re the best!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 thanks for everything!
That was great footage, nothing wrong there!! ":^)
@@RUHDD4HVN🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good breakdown of this PA system Scott. If I were starting out I'd seriously consider it. For now my Behringer B112Ds fill my needs for medium size venues.
Great video, Scott. Although the phone videos don't super capture tone, it does help give an idea. The live stuff is really great to see how you pull off the 90s thing without a bass player on stage. Very cool.
Thanks! And yeah, we do have a bass player sometimes, it depends on the venue, budget, etc. that’s what’s nice about stage Traxx 3. If the bas player is there, it’s one button press and the bass is out of the tracks 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic Right! I learned that from you videos and have started prepping backing tracks for my own 90s band exactly like that so depending on the specific lineup, I can use bass or guitar backing tracks as needed.
dude that's awesome,thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
I saw some material on these about a month ago and they seem interesting. Looks like a product that will definitely suit a few different groups of people. Cheers!
Agreed!
I really like that you did this system review. I have been using mine as a DJ for the past 6 months. I did have an issue with the powered subwoofer and proreck immediately after a video and images of the problem sent out a replacement.
I do notice to high/mids are very, very bright and tend to lower my mixer. I have used just the subs with EV tops and they sound great.
Nice video, great review, and I am very happy with my purchase 👌👍
Nice! Thanks for sharing your experience with it as well!
Thank you, Scott. Keep it up!!
Thank you!
I am going to check this system out. I work with a school and I have been looking for a system that is easy to set up and use. this is perfect.
Nice!
Great video, Scott! The live stuff is really great to see how you pull off the 90s thing without a bass player on stage. $600.00?????? Especially Being a DJ!!!! Very cool!
Thanks! And agreed completely!
Great review. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thanks ! 😊👍
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for a great review (as usual). I found the ProRec gear on Amazon months ago and was wondering if their line arrays were worth the money (you know, almost too good to be true for the price), so I'm glad you did a review of them. Might consider these for my acoustic trio at some point down the road.
Yeah I thought the same thing when I first heard about them. And for an acoustic trio it would do great!
I saw those as well. Decided on the harbinger mls 1000 to do a 3 person thing. This thing sounds great
I use the Prorek powered subs with my RCFs or my DRM mackies and have crowds of over 500 and everything on unity and my mixer half way and it pounds and fills
FAB Video! Cool Set up.
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great review Scott...I think 80% of my budget gear has come from your recommendations...swiff wireless for my practice rig, phenyx pro for my in ears, and now I may have to consider pro rec as a viable option!
Much appreciated.
Nice! Glad to hear that!
Woa! Great system! Definitely an option to replace my system the day it dies! As usual, thanks a lot, Scott 😊
Thank you 🙏
cool system! Your Band is awesome because of the fact you guys play different genre of music
Thanks! It keeps things interesting for sure
I always trust you reviews !!🙏🏼
I appreciate that!
Thanks brother I'm sold getting my upgrade I have the 3500 series and those babies rock
Nice!!
Spot on!! I love your band. 👍
Thank you!!
This is great thanks Scott. Please could you do a review of your drummers setup and how he gets the sound with so little kit!! i think that wold be well received.
A lot of people have asked for that haha. It’s a cajon with a reverse pedal so he sits on the cajon and still has a kick pedal. He then has a snare, hi hat, and single cymbal. Then the Roland spdsx sample pad has the Toms, and electronic sounds and any song-specific samples 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic Nice one Scott. Sounds superb for such a little setup! thanks for the great content.
Like to hear on what drummer set up was all about. Great vids man🎉
Thanks! And a lot of people have asked that haha. Cajon is the kick that he sits on, and has a reverse kick pedal to hit it. Snare, hi hat, and single cymbal. Then the spdsx sample pad has the toms and any electronic drum samples. Nice easy setup!
Hey Scott, great video! So I picked one of these systems up. Very impressed! Amazing low cost system! Not QSC, but EQ and processing can make it sound pretty good. Already used it for an all day acoustic band showcase. It worked great! I've since purchased additional active subs for a little more low end. One trick I came up with...using my dbx DriveRack PA2, I'm driving the tops with the main input using the 'high' output of the PA2. The dbx crossover is set accordingly. The subs are being fed mono by the mic input using the PA2 'mid' output tuned for low end, and my additional subs are fed mono by the PA2 'low' output. The built in crossover in the Proreck is still active, but feeding the specific bands into the 2 different inputs gives me a little more control.
Oh nice! Thanks for the advice on that, and I agree completely, they aren’t QSC, but are still completely useable and you can’t beat that price! Thanks again for commenting 🤘
600 dollars is pretty insane for what you get with this.
Couldn’t agree more!
@ScottUhlMusic do they have a smaller 2 speaker system for those interested in connecting to a guitar modeling unit like the quad cortex for home use?
Totally agree
Strip down a "high-end" system, ID the components and check the costs....very little. Those who pay those prices are paying for trade-shows and other marketing costs.
This industry/marketing is a classic example of "The Emperor's New Clothes". Stick a big-name label on it and voila, it "sounds better" 😂
I should’ve waited until I seen this video 😅… the PA system I bought hit my pockets big
been waiting for this one since the new shure mic video 😂
Hahaha yeah the sneak peak in that video :)
9:40 "Our drummer plays lead kazoo . . . " HAHAHA That is brilliant! I love it!
1st chair kazoo player 🤘🤘😂
Wow, I heard a lot of music that I love. Great job!!!!!!!!!
Thank you 🙏
@@ScottUhlMusic you are welcome
Super powerful I needed a PA urgently and there are no complaints incredible sound for the price, I am using it with an orchestra of 10 musicians and I am surprised by the power it has and the sound! several of the audience asked me what speakers were those and what sound so clear!
Nice!! I’m glad to hear it has worked so well for you 🤘
I ordered the 6000 system for our band. Looking forward to trying it out.
Nice! Enjoy 🤘🤘
Hi.. how was it? Did u like how it sounds?
@@rubeng2204 I just ordered it. Haven’t got it yet. Will be a few weeks before I can try it.
Good job man... ❤
Thanks 🙏
Love the video. Wondering what mixer you would use for this. I am looking for something wireless so I won't have to run wires to my headphones. Next question... headphones that are good and won't fall out of your ears during performance.
I used it with our Behringer xr18 mixer 🤘
Scott, I love your reviews!! And LOVE how clean your stage is!! I looked but didn't see if you shared the following info: what direct guitar rig are you using? (it looks minimal size!); and what drum kit is the drummer using (also minimal, big sound)? Thanks, bro - keep up the GREAT reviews!!
Thanks! My guitar is pretty wild, it’s the GTRS P800: czcams.com/video/Ausw3WiCEtg/video.htmlsi=j1lh5IA0BvZjNAda
And our drummer has a very unique drum setup. He sits on a cajon which is the kick (he has a reverse pedal for it), and then a snare, high hat, and one cymbal. Then the spdsx has all the electronic elements as well as the toms in it. Simple and works very well. Plus he’s the only drummer I know who can do it all in one load in
@@ScottUhlMusic Very cool on both items, man!! Thanks for that info!! It's also cool how you respond to most every comment - wow!!! Love it!
I run 8" tops with 100hz filters so a sub is absolutely mandatory. I made a diy 12" vented box running 500w rms and i've done a few 60-80 ppl bar gigs that asked me to turn down the sub because it was too much.
Great point on the audience often doesn’t realize what we do.. just tossed some serious coin on a QSC rig,.. 2 kw153, 4 ks118, 4 k12.2.. venue size aside, I’ll probably be the only one who would ever notice the difference.. $16000usd vs 650.. or even the 1200.. if it’s actually usable, no brainer.
It truly is a factor, the audience wants to hear their favorite songs and be entertained. They aren’t wondering “what’s with the 1k brightness? And should they use the phase inversion on the subwoofer?”
It sounds great, how do you manage your live sound? do you have a sound guy or is everything pre-mixed?
We do a soundcheck to make everything balanced, and then our stage manager lets us know if anything needs to be turned up at all 👍
Great video, btw
Thanks!
Appreciate you bro, I just sub
Thanks for the sub!
Great content. Which amps are you using along with this PA System in outdoor setting?
Thanks! And if you mean guitar amps, we are all direct. My singer and I both use this setup: This Guitar is a Multi-FX Processor with Amps/Pedals/Cabs IN THE GUITAR! 😱 GTRS demo

@@ScottUhlMusic thanks
Sounds great especially for the price!
We spent $600 a Yamaha for PA system 2 years ago. Just 2 speakers and powered mixer. No subs!
OK! You are comparing Yamaha with ProReck? 🤔
Holy Toss My Salad with Syrup or Jelly! $600 that is insane even for a passive speaker system like that but powered!!! Awesome deal
I was thinking about adding just one powered electro voice 15” the g2 to add some more bass to my system. But that one speaker cost more than this whole set with cords and all! Thanks, Now I’m back to not knowing what to do! lol! Thanks for the review! Can’t believe these are that inexpensive!
The EV system will sound better, but you cannot beat this deal. It’s up to you to make the choice between tone and price 👍
I need this for my Man Cave❤. I don’t care if I go deaf😂. Thanks much for this awesome information. And your Band rocks 💪🏻🤘🏻
Thank you! 🙏
This was a real eye-opening and super comprehensive review. Thanks for all the samples. They were really helpful. I'm blown away by the cost/benefit. However, a real deal killer for me is the lack of dedicated sub input. For my band that just ain't gonna cut it. I hope they come up with a version that has a sub input, even if it bumps the price up a bit. Until then, it's a pass for me unfortunately. They also might want to consider making a version of the system where both sides are active with bluetooth (or other dedicated wireless) for intra-speaker connection as an option. With the price and efficiency of Class D amps, it could still be a very cost-effective system. Would love to eliminate those sub-to-sub cables.
It would definitely be nice to have those features! But then it wouldn’t be as cheap, that’s 100% certain. I would definitely love those features, but that would drastically change the price. Thanks for commenting and watching! 🤘
As the conditions change from event to event, you should always eq your Master Bus that goes to your PA. Of course ig your system isn't able to produce a certain frequency, you won't be able to fix it that way, but a little more low mids and a little less treble should be no problem for the system.
I am just wondering how the line array aspect performs. Normally you would have to set at least the levels of the two speakers to use that effekt to its full potential. Otherwise it's honna be very loud in the front. But at least the clarity eill be preserved, because of the two speakers. So maybe thats already an advantage over haveing just one top speaker.
Tha ks for the review. Looks like a nice budget option for example for a Church startup.
If you’re wanting to clean up the cabling and make things easier, you could rewire the speakon jacks to work with NL4 (same connector just using 4 wires) to send the sub And satellite signal to the other side, then just put a jack on the passive sub to connect the speakers above it. That makes it only 1 cable running around the stage, and you can get speakon couplers so you could have 2 25ft cables instead of a 50ft that’s too big for some spots
Oh interesting! Thats above my pay grade for sure haha but good to know! Thats awesome
Fantastic vid and review as always Scott. I'm a musician and an instructional designer and IMO, YOUR clarity is always what can't be beat. You're so good at what you do. Loved the band clips, esp. helpful and fun. I'm out. ✌️
Thank you James 🙏
Hey Scott & friends. I did a gig in SF they had the 3000 version. I brought my gear too just in case but with this 3000 someone had inserted a 1/4 into combo jack 1, and the tip of the 1/4 got wedged in so I couldn't use a 1/4, but an XLR still worked.1:25 left side channel one.
I still could not get this system to sound good direct in (mic and guitar) or mixed out from my JBL PRX One. So I opted not to use it at all.
Another event a week later at the same event which was just DJ, we hoped to just line in from the DJ Controller 1/4 into channel 2 (using a Koogo guitar wireless transmitter as a wireless AUX) and then MY tip of the 1/4 was ripped off so now both of their combo jacks have 1/4 tips in them.
So something to keep in mind.
Also the 3000 speaker out I don't know if they do stereo with the mix out (Scott any input?)
There is a stereo 1/4 3/4 input on the 3000 (interesting there isn't one fo the 6000) that we may have to use moving forward to save us bringing all our gear when they should have decent system with these.
I also assume one of their previous vendors may have blown the speakers (tops) at their roof top pool parties, because it sounded like trash. Probably trying to push more sound outdoors than the 3000 version could handle.
Happy gigs!
Thanks for sharing! I haven’t used the 3000s, but definitely do not push your speakers too hard, that’s probably the number 1 issue with these is people pushing them beyond the limitation
@@ScottUhlMusic for sure. someone else must've done so at another gig they did. careful with those 1/4 in the combo jacks.
Hey Scott Allen & Heath released a new line of mixers about 6-7 months back it is their CQ series. It has all the processing and great effects for every channel and every output. And their Wi-Fi on the unit actually works. 2.4 or 5G Wi-Fi. You can record directly to an SD card, thumb drive, and USB directly into your Daw. Live stream your mix directly from the console to your favorite platform. And the preamps are sweet. Their flagship one is 18 in 6 out plus two mains. And a 7-inch touchscreen. There are two other units in this series. One is the 12 channel and the other is 20. The 20 is ran by the app only no touch screen. These are definitely going to take over the behringer market of the x air. They are amazing you must check this stuff out bro.✌️🍻
Nice! I’ve seen a LOT of people switching over to A&H stuff. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them!
@@ScottUhlMusic yeah sure would be nice to see one of your breakdowns on this mixer series. It's got all the bells and whistles and then a few other awesome features built in. The CQ 18t comes in around 1200 bucks. Replace all of your rack gear.😂😂✌️
@@maxammo6282 I own the 18t and love it. I'm a FOH guy, so I still prefer hands on faders, but you can't beat the size of this thing. Sound and ease of use is amazing.
But no midi on those mixers right? 😬
Great demo. I have question, how do you monitor the sound in front of the house while playing?
Thanks! And you don’t. Our stage manager Larissa will tell us if anything is off, and we can take an IEM out to listen and get a general idea of the mix. Dedicated sound guy is always better, but it will work
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for replying. I have a few gigs coming up where I am going to mix the band and play bass. I was looking for some tips. I will try to take someone to assist with the sound. Thanks!
This is a very helpful video for myself personally. Knowing that you can have a really good system without taking out a mortgage (haha 😂) is definitely good news.
Agreed!
This is exactly what I've been looking for. Less than $590 shipped with the discount code. Couldn't pass it up.
Nice! Glad to help 🤘🤘
I live out in the country near the local lake..... surrounded by hills.... Valleys and mountains.... on Sunday mornings I use to set up my old school....PA system.... 4 Peavey SP1's.....4 Peavey SP2's and 4 Peavey SP3's.... powered by 2 Peavey CS -1000's and 4 Peavey CS-800's... my wake up call to the community was.... cranking the PA system up to the max and playing the song.... Ghost riders in the sky through it.... it would echo through the valleys..... people said they could hear it as far away as 5 miles away.... the location of the lake.... some said they heard it even further..... that I don't know.....I think they just stopped by to get a cold beer?....l had the law called on me several times by the neighbor's.... they would come out and tell me to quitting it down.... they said it didn't bother them' that they enjoyed the music and looked forwards to stopping by....but you know how some people are.... I would have people from the lake stop by from time to time and tell me the same.... said it was their 8:00 am wake up call when camping out. I ended up selling all the equipment because of the neighbors constantly complaining..... I miss my Sunday morning ritual.... been thinking about getting another PA system.... this looks to be a very good deal..... getting 2 set ups would probably get me back into the routine of doing the hobby I've missed out on for the past 8 years.
Thanks, Scott! Great review. I have a question I think you've answered.... but... I've been looking at this ProReck for some time. I foolishly asked about it on a FB PA group, and got skewered by "experts" who said "no way will you get anything usable for $600" - none who have actually tried it. One guy said "ask your parents for a loan and spend $5000..." -- I'm a 60 year old guy... LOL. My question: I'm really new at playing with a band. We have a little three piece - two guitars, bass, vocal. We use a beat buddy pedal until we find a drummer. We've done a couple very small gigs, and got some interest - will be playing some small venues like small bars, even a decent size coffee shop, so need a PA. This seems like a perfect starter PA for us. We do have a AH CQ-18T mixer that I think will be perfect for this. I think your entire review speaks right to guys like us.... correct? especially with 60 bucks more off!!!
This sounds like it would be a great system for you! And you will always deal with Facebook “experts” lol. Just ignore them. Everyone has different goals with music gear. If they want to spend the price to get a “pure tone”, they can. This is a great budget option for smaller shows and bands 👍
Sounds pretty good!
that PA actually sounds pretty good... I have a x32 compact, and two JBL 15 inch powered speakers, I would like good line arrays but they are expensive.
Hey there I see you use two guitars and drums I do the same thing just wondering it sounded like I heard a bass guitar on some of those tracks what are you using for that?
I use Stage Traxx 3 🤘 love that app! I have 4 videos on it
First of all: Great content, Scott. It's so much fun to see the real world experience of this gear.
Do you know if this system will be available in Europe/Germany as well?
Thank you! And that im not sure, I thought it was but some people are saying it isn’t.
Hope to hear an update a while from now to hear how it has held up. Always on of my main concerns for bigger gear like this, reliability .
For sure, that’s a fair point. Although the reviews on it have been positive
Hi Scott I love the reviews of affordable gear the quality you get these days for the money is outstanding. One of your previous reviews was the Alto stealth 1 do you have any issues at all I bought 2 sets for my smaller band rig and use a Behringer X-air however I occasionally get muffled distorted vocals. I have tried most things but back to cables for the time being. Maybe it's because hear in the UK we have to use the 863 to 865 band and only get 9 selectable channels instead of 16..
Thanks Peter! And is that true for the UK? If so, then yeah you likely need a higher end wireless system, that can happen with the cheap stuff unfortunately depending on where you perform
@@ScottUhlMusic Unfortunately that is true and licencing looks a nightmare and doesn't guarantee you wont get interference. It's the same with everything in the UK they legislate every thing so you have to pay..
Nice! I wonder how these would sound at a wedding!
For DJs, it’s a no brainer, and for bands if it’s not for more than 200ish people I think it would work 🤘
I'm a beginner DJ and I bought the club 8000. Its loud and clear. The subs are punchy but i wish they had more rumble. I alos wish each sub had its own amp
Thanks for sharing! I’m curious on the 8000 for sure
They do sound good, shooting it on the phone, i can hear the guitar, bass & drums clearly👍, I was thinking getting the proreck brand, i heard some having issues with the brand? How was yours? Do they distort and overheat in time? I was thinking getting the Proreck 800 series.
I thought it was great! I didn’t see them over heat, but it wasn’t super hot when we were performing.
You mentioned how you thought the setup was bright, was it not possible to apply an eq curve that fixed that? Or is it a matter of the tops not producing any midrange etc?
More the lack of low mids in my opinion, but an eq curve helped the brightness. Just the lower mids were lacking
Boys to Men had me jamming out with you. 🤣🤣
We love that one!
For a system in that price point, I'm pleasantly surprised. One thing I would have expected though; as the power module is in one sub, and two runs are being made to the other side, I would have expected the speakon to be an NL4, and for there to be two short cables to the tops from the subs. A small gripe, but for south of 700 bucks, it's a steal of a system at first glance.
Wow, I´m really impressed.
Same here!
I agree I have three of the powered subs I don't have The matching passive but any passive sub will work with this I got the power subs on an incredible sale $249 a piece and one of them acted up like the top section was a little bit distorted I wrote pro wreck they sent me a whole new sub no questions asked no charge So I have three of the powered subs they are amazing what they will do You can hook them to any passive subs and I use the AEF tops they are amazing I can't say enough about these systems Plus I have three of the 3200 systems or the AEF systems same system different tops and I have their new line array the 800EX I'm a little obsessed with them I probably have seven other systems all together here's the one I use mainly
Hey Scott , after watching your video , can you recommend the club 8000 for a 5 piece. Rock band ? We use all in ears , acustic drums. And guitars use. Neural and helix
I would think you could within the limits I mention in this video. There are some comments saying they’ve used it and it worked great and others saying they struggled with it. Just turn up the speaker itself higher so you don’t have to send as much to the speaker input so it doesn’t overload as easily
Would not using a mixer help with the EQ issues you talked about?
You can reduce the highs, but if there isn’t a strong low mid, it’s not going to be created out of no where with eq. But again, this one isn’t aimed at someone who wants the “perfect” tone
