- Some people were curious about what the letters and numbers meant when I was talking, so I just wanted to tell you what they mean:
The first thing I say is my callsign: KJ7NLL. Then, I say my ham grid square: CN85.
Finally, sometimes I say CQ CQ CQ, and that means that I am asking to talk to anyone on the radio. You can get your callsign by taking an amateur radio test.
If you are interested in getting your ham radio license, you can study at: www.hamstudy.org
You can look up grid squares at: www.levinecentral.com/ham/gri... - Věda a technologie
KJ7nll 337 this awesome to see girl about 10 years old talking on a ham transceiver you are doing a good job 👏 👍
Boy. Use QRZ.
Dear KJ7Nll. It is very to see that our hobby is not limited to any age group! My QTH is EM75PG, Southeastern USA. When the ISS comes overhead, there is nearly always a jam-up of hams trying to make contacts. Glad to see your success. Keep it up! KQ4IXD
Way to go girl! Great to see young kids on the air!
Good job! I'm glad to see young people getting into the hobby.
You might want to think about a foot switch for the PTT and a headset/mic or a boom mic, to free up your hands for operating and logging.
That's a great idea!
Brings me back to the days watching my dad work with his radios running KCBM the jolly roger real pirate radio from the garage he had a 2000 watt power pump and was just doing all sorts of crazy stuff building his own transmitters using heat kit audio and signal generators for I guess giggles
Good on you. I would recommend this video to be shown to youngsters... it's very inspiring
Roger that
Everyone should like and sub to boost them, this some next level social impact material. Who would've thought someone see a kid talking to space guys on ham, crazy.

Hello i am new to ham radio i have a handheld is it possiblw if you can make a video on how to use repeater
cool
Cool!
This is epic
👍😁
May I ask, are you using the same 2m helical antenna for both transmit (~145.99MHz) and receive (~435.8MHz)? Or do you have a separate antenna for 70cm reception?
The 2m helical antenna has 2 windings. On the outside is the 2m winding, and on the inside, there is an aluminum 70cm winding
Here is another video where I go into more detail about that: czcams.com/video/Ab_oJHlENwo/video.html
@@KJ7NLL Thank you - I will watch it.
@@KJ7NLL Actually - that video only shows the 2m coil. Do you have a video showing construction of the 70cm coil? And what about the feed points and tuning?
I have a presentation where I talk about the project, and I talk about that coil and show some pictures: czcams.com/video/vKeOOaMB4ZQ/video.html
