Just came across your channel when looking for info on ISS Repeater. Thanks for being so down to earth in terms of your videos. I passed my Foundation in January and Intermediate in March. So much better than those 'Shouty' US Channels!
well done for passing your licence ive signed up with the iss fan club they send emails when the space station are sending pictures to test their radio gear. Its easy to do just put your radio on 145.800 and use a SSTV app and use the mode PD120 and it should decode pictures

Jez. Can you transmit via the repeater with a cheap Retvis or Boefeng? Cheers
You should be able to but you would need a different antenna like a arrow 2 antenna
Is there a tone for repeater? (437.800) I’m still fairly new and learning how to hear them
Yes theres a 67HZ tone for TX but if you want to reveice it just input the downlink frequency
@@2j4ez thank you for the fast response!
So heres the question! If i input the 437.800 will i automatically hear the ISS? is that correct?
Yes and drop the squelch
@@2j4ez im just using cignu uv86 with normal antena without repeater
Your next task is to make a contact through it
I thought iss was on 145.800
Yes it is but they also have a repeater on board as well. 145.8 is normally for school contacts and the ISS
