My grandfather had gifted to me his '68 Shelby GT-350 on my 21st birthday in '06, and I can tell you that for me there is no greater honor than getting a chance to own a true piece of automotive history, it's just rolling art.. Now I've literally been offered great money over the years of ownership but I just won't do it no matter how much it's worth!.. My grandfather was and will always be my hero and every single time I'm out driving I swear he's riding shotgun with me smiling ear to ear.. Some say if you love something, let it go. But I can't or won't let it go because it just really means that much to me and there truthfully is no price in cash or a check that will change my mind EVER!.

I haven't seen a superbird cruising around since the 1980's. That was the car plymouth used in hopes of swaying richard petty back to their camp. It worked.

The Ford GT-40, hands down, is the best sports/supercar America has ever produced in my opinion. The 2005-2006 reissue model is commanding premium prices now..the collector value has reached stratospheric levels. The newest incarnation of the street version of the Ford GT, while much more refined and a definite stronger performer than the original style, just doesn't have the 'panache' of the original design. I heard that engine wail of the Fort GT-40 original and it just raised goosebumps. What a car.

The white "bird" was a 440 NOT a Hemi.

I dislike these cobbled together videos with distinctly dubious info in them. It's what causes people to go spouting things they know nothing about.

1969 Pontiac Trans Am convertible - 8 made (4 manual, 4 automatic). More modern, the 1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula convertible - 2 made.

I believe that there were a lot more than (20) 1970 Chevelles SS LS6's made, check your figures.

The majority of MK1 Ford GT 40 were 289s. Early prototypes were 260s, but the "production" cars were 289s. A better choice for Fairlane would be the 1964 Thunderbolt. Chevy made many Chevelle SS LS6s. Ford offered the 427 in Mustangs in early 1968 only. I saw one on the showroom floor in 1968.

Love everything about the old muscle cars, the look, the sound, but I love what technology has done that I could take my 15 GTI back in time and give them a run for their money! Great video, keep 'em coming.

They also forgot the 1969 Shelby GT350 Convertible 4 spd. Less than 100 vehicles produced in this variety. This was about "Rarest", not "Fastest" American Cars.

I think the Camaro COPO it's more rare than the Yenko...I guess. And the Boss 429 it's more rare than the GT500...or not?

Yenkos did not get "Corvette 427s." Some good looking cars but not very accurate information.
