    I CLONED MY FACTORY HARD-DRIVE, UPGRADED SSD and UPGRADED RAM.
    Due to SSD and RAM always fluctuating in price, I was lucky enough to purchase the SSD/RAM at very low prices during the coronavirus pandemic, $40 and $30 respectively. Keep an eye out on the market of when they drop in price to get the cheapest parts for the upgrade.
    Factory macbook specs:
    Macbook Pro 13-inch (Early 2011 model)
    “Core i5”
    320GB Serial ATA Macintosh HD
    4GB RAM 1333mHz DDR3
    In this video, i’m going to show you a step by step tutorial on how to clone your existing Hard-Drive to a new Samsung Evo 860 Solid State Drive (SSD)
    And how to install your new SSD and 16GB RAM.
    Macbook after upgrade:

    Excellent tutorial video. I had not used my MacBook Pro regularly due to it's sluggishness and unreliability. Purchasing a Dell laptop which now has the Dell Sticky Finger" keyboard was my go laptop. Horrible! I viewed and followed the steps on this upgrade which were easy overall. I made the exact upgrades. After I in installed the ram and ssd the laptop responded immediately. I performed the speed test and saw a difference. When the Apple popped up on the screen on the start up it took less than 20 seconds for main screen to load. Incredible! It was a great laptop when I purchased it and it's even better now with the upgrade. The transferring of data from the source to the destination was the longest wait. I only had 50GB used because of infrequent use for the past few years. THANKS SO MUCH! :). All I need now is a good Dell Sticky Finger Keyboard replacement video.

    ISSUE! After watching this movie I replaced my hard drive of my macbook (late 2011) with a samsung 860 evo SSD drive. After a week, it started having problems with a known blue screen with grains and blurriness on the screen. At first I thought it was the video card, but after I started the macbook with its old hard disk, macbook worked again. Any idea where this could be? I also see in the video that you changed the ram memory and I didn't? In a forum I read that the power of an SSD consumes more power than an HDD and will cause problems due to the delivery of data over the bandwidth. Who can help me get out of the fire?

    • @someboringperson9359
      @someboringperson9359 Před 2 lety

      No it will not. The reason your fan is getting loud is because your CPU is heating too much. In order to fix it, you will need to clean dust from the fan and heatsink and you will probably need changing thermal paste on your CPU too which will require removing the whole motherboard. But dont worry! There are bunch of tutorials on CZcams which show this and with little patience and time you can easily do it and it will make night and day difference after doing all of things above.
