Lancaster Country Club - Meadow Creek/ Dogwood - The Boss Golfs

Lancaster Country Club is a spectacular course and club about an hour from Philadelphia and, for me, a short two hours from Washington, D.C. Lancaster is a beautiful William Flynn design that is equal parts beauty and challenge. The course is a true classic gem, featuring rolling terrain that navigates around and across a meandering stream throughout the course. The fairways and greens are well protected by bunkers, water, and dramatic drop-offs in terrain. The course is engaging throughout and is a firm test of your game. William Flynn is often overlooked as one of the finer architects of his time. Similarly, Lancaster seems to lack the notoriety it deserves because of the other great courses in Pennslyvania. Still, you should consider Lancaster CC a must play if ever afforded the opportunity; it is an experience you will truly appreciate. Lancaster CC will be hosting the 2024 US Women's Open and will get a chance to show the world how great it is.
