Will have to stop by Hermitage for sure and play there now. Just down the road in The Boro area. Remember guys handicap is based off your best 8 rounds out of 20. So you can shoot in the 70s a few times, then 80s and 90s and it won't effect your HC. Great video. Cheers...
They only took 1 shot from green shirt. He obviously had a bad day lol. But white shirt almost shot the same as the “2.8” so idk what’s unbelievable about that. A 10 handicap usually shoots high 80’s
Handicap is an average on your best 8 scores every 20 rounds. The number of your handicap is representative more of your potential good day and not the number you shoot every round
And it's the average of the best 8 differentials, which uses course rating (from the tees you are playing) to get your course handicap. It doesn't mean a 3 shoots 75 every time he plays.
@@dwboston1 With the WHS, it's 20%, since it's now the best 8 of 20 differentials. Therefore 4 of your last 20 differentials are below your index (20%) (*on average, since someone could have 2 really hot rounds which are below your index, and 6 which are slightly higher than your index).
Handicap is a measure of your potential. Not what you are shooting every time you go out. Your handicap also changes based on the tees your are playing and the slope and rating for those tees. Example, I am 65 years old, from the old guy(5600 yds) tees I am a 2 HCP, from the member tees (6150 yds) I am a 5 HCP and the blue tees (6800 yds) I am a 7. From our tips at 7300 yds I am a 12 HCP. I would play either of you guys straight up.
Lol imagine not even knowing how the handicap systems works and then trying to test people if they are they play their handicap 😂😂😂😂 like fun content but super douchey. Like you guys aren’t playing to a ten, more like an 18
Yeah handicap is based on an index which takes into account tees played and difficulty of course. More specifically how you score on certain holes too. It’ll calculate a differential based on that data. Your handicap is based on your last 8 of 20 best round differentials. So generally a 2.8 handicap will probably shoot around 80 from the tips consistently, a good round mid 70s and a bad round mid 80s
@@divotdudes since he's already doing his own music on CZcams, have him go around with you and maybe figure up some lyrics and sing that you could put at the front of each new vid that sort of gives a preview of what you're about to see :)

I think I was so used to playing with my friends that it was just a Freudian slip.”
There are factors that determine this stuff. First of all your handicap is based on your like top 40% or so of rounds. Your absolute worst rounds really don’t matter for your handicap. It also depends on things like slope and course rating. A course with an average slope rating and a course rating that is equal to par would mean that an average of 3 over par in say 4 of 10 rounds played would put your handicap like right at 3. Also a player that can shoot like -2 one day and +5 the next day on the same course could easily have the same handicap as a guy who consistently shoots 1-2 over.
@@cobra7282golf is a weird sport. Im a 4 and will break 80 pretty consistently, but i will either have like 5 bogeys and all pars or i will have like 7 bogeys with 3 birdies. Or occasionally i will have a blow up round where i shoot 85
You don’t understand the handicap system. He should only score 3 over against course rating about 7 times for every 20 rounds played. He could shoot 10 85’s and 10 75’s in his last 20 rounds on a course rated 72 and he would be a 3 handicap.

Guys great videos, but you need to realize that your Handicap is what you can BEST score on you latest rounds. I’m a 3.9, it happens for me too shoot over 80 quite often actually. When you see pros are like +5 and you see them shooting 2 or 3 over par doesn’t mean they are 3 handicapers. good..goods are good for the handicaps too! :)
Yeah that’s facts 😂
The only ones lying about handicap were the two who claimed to be a 10.
They might have to make a new level of handicap for me I think I could break course records for most strokes. Id be better off using my sand wedge and putters only
Great content, keep it up!
Yessir! More where that came from 🫡
Catching people lying about there handicaps and claiming the boy in the green t shirt is a ten handicap. Who's lying 😂😂
That’s a thick stick you got there friend 😳🤪
😂😂
Sam is also way cooler than the other two guys lol
Very fun video
the 2.8 has the rule backwards on advise. You can ask, he can't say.
You should get Ben Capper out here
Sam should call the '10' handicappers liars.
Many ventus magic 😁
GM Golf is a 2handicap for real? Thought he would be a plus for for sure
Me: watching the video but not particularly invested in it.
2.8 guy: Im the guy behind the "this is Chris" series.
Also me: The f99k you say!!! Im now HEAVILY invested in this video! 🤣🤣
Haha same here😂
How often do you guys break 100 ?
It’s been a minute since either of us have shot over 100 thankfully! However, we do tend to be pretty streaky! This month we have both shot in the low 90’s as well as high 70’s. Golf is a hard game!
I’m a 17.5, very specific and it’s accurate. These guys are wasting their time…
You guys are definitely 15-18 rather than 10. No shame in it, embrace it and enjoy the extra shots
They’re def lying about not knowing the guy
I hate when my hat goes sideways like that
Guys great videos, but you need to realize that your Handicap is what you can BEST score on you latest rounds. I’m a 3.9, it happens for me too shoot over 80 quite often actually. When you see pros are like +5 and you see them shooting 2 or 3 over par doesn’t mean they are 3 handicapers. Also to let you understand being a 3.9 a going for 2.8 like he his will take me time and a lot of practice! However I went from 10 to 7 after 8 rounds ( abt 1 month). I know a 1.2 handicaper who struggles a lot to come to 0 and he’s trying since 1 year lol
Learn how the handicap system works before trying to make the guy (who seems a legit 2.8) seem like he is lying. GM Golf is a +2 handicap which is way better than a 2.8
2.8 is not 3 bogeys per round. That's about the best he could play. He probably shoots around 80, give or take a few, every time he plays.
No way either of you are a 10 handicap.
