Truth
So so true
Cheers mate i got a good chuckle outta that.
Minimum 2/3 of the glass Milo, top up with ice cold milk, stir, eat. Nothing better
As a Kiwi I'm not surprised to see the generosity from our neighbours, deep down their not a bad bunch ;-)
Cheers mate! PS, thanks for all the awesome music from you guys, that we claim is ours!

Onya "Alan" for choosing certified boomerangs made by indigenous artisans!! Sadly, so many in Aus tourist stores are absolute rip offs and often made overseas. Great choice mate!
Yes! The Indigenous Aboriginals are just awesome and to be respected. :-)
@@QuestionThingsUseLogic Being Aboriginal its so bloody good being represented and noticed culturally. We have some of the most unique culture that often gets overlooked.
@@Jim-dy4wv yes I wish we had learned from your people instead of so called history in school!
@@QuestionThingsUseLogic I think history in school is still important but i still wish Aboriginal culture/history and language were taught at schools since a lot of it is dying out. In School i was taught those things but only because i was aboriginal, its a shame the school didn't extend it to non indigenous students as well.
@@Jim-dy4wv oh, I totally agree. I loved history and studied Australian, European, Asian and some others, but what I've discovered more recently is about YOUR history that I was never taught. What an ingenious group of people you are! I've always respected your people and that continues to grow. I never knew you grew cereal crops, had 3 separated sections used in rotation for this, had bakers ovens, grew a large variety of yams in the terraces in some areas, had fishing operations that were highly successful. Used massive stones to till the ground, had organised villages etc. I knew a certain amount, but all that I mentioned was not taught during my schooling back in the 70s. I knew you were the BEST trackers in the world though!! Ive also learned of your people possibly being the oldest son of Jacob of the bible...oldest son out of Africa, but that is another topic. Much respect, Kerry from SA.
Ian and family, it was an absolute pleasure in sending you all those Tim Tam's (you'll probably need a break from them now) and the Bathurst, Torana books. If you ever visit Melbourne, Australia please come say g'day and we'll catch up over a beer ... my shout. Love the videos guys your doing a wonderful job. Keep up the great work!
Good on you for finding and sending them mate, grew up near Bathurst and met Brocky and LP etc in the 90's as a kid when we'd go and watch. Didnt know they made the coins. Love that Torana.
Yer no worries mate. Really enjoy seeing people being happy, brings a smile to my face. I've been to the great race many times mate, your lucky you are close by. Even stayed on top of the mountain back in it's hay day ... struth I'll never forget that!
As a fellow Ford man, I feel your pain. Respect to the Torana tho. And respect to your generosity, that box was the ducks nuts!

Good job on choosing authentic Aussie stuff to send them rob! My first car was an LX, and it was a legendary car for missions when our mob were growing up.
Shoutout to the legends that sent the packages đđâ€ïžđŠđș
As an Aussie I don't know why I'm so obsessed with these videos, but I think its your authentic joy and positivity. I get so excited when you really like something, I guess because the world doesn't really pay all that much attention to Australia, especially Americans. So when one finally discovers all the cool stuff we have, its really validating lol
Keep it up mate, from a fan for life!

@Jeff Spicoli you donât have chicken salt? WHAT?!?!
Got a story about Peter Brock.
My Dad was a Flag Marshal for the Australian Grand Prix for 10 years in Adelaide before moving to ahem Victoria.
At a V8 drivers meet and greet in Rundle Mall, Murray Walker F1 legendary commentator, was also there too. He spoke highly of Peter Brock and considered themselves friends. It was interesting to listen to but the one thing he said that stood out is he said Peter should never have driven that morning he crashed as he was very tired and from memory straight off a plane and to the track.
Murray Walker had only spoken to him the night before, and spoke calmly and reflective chatting to us about the conversation he had and last memory also.
We thanked Murray for the chat and his time, me and my brother left that afternoon quietly and in a somber mood.
Both motor racing ROYALTY, #RIP
The people who sent all the packages are legends for hooking you up with everything.
I think we should just declare Ian and family honorary Aussies, whaddaya reckon?
We should start some kind of letter writing petition to Canberra to request it perhaps? I'd be happy with it.
we should do a go fund me to get Ian and family tickets to Australia
@@brendo9672 Yes 100%
I've seen some Americans try Milo and be disappointed because they don't understand it's not really a mix-in like nesquik. Milo mostly sits on top of the milk, and you eat it with a spoon to add crunchy texture.
Aussies go through massive tins of this stuff so fast because it's normal to eat big spoonfuls of it, or to just keep adding more and more to your milk (WAY more than they suggest on the packet). It's also a game changer to put big spoonfuls on top of ice-cream! :D
Yeah, I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see Ian's reaction the first time a big blob of dry Milo flips over and blorps to the surface xD
(PS: a tiny a splash of hot water in the bottom of the mug will help get you a still cold, but properly blended Milo once the milk is added; kinda ruins the fun of eating it though)
What about when they sneeze after a big dry spoonful and it comes out there nose..đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Yes Milo and ice cream
THIS is the TRUTH! Love Milo!
Milo on Weetbix is also the ducks nuts... plenty of ice cold milk, a sprinkle of sugar and a decent covering of Milo... perfect any time of the day or night... ;))

Your enthusiasm for all things Australian is a great thing to watch. As a 6th generation Aussie I am super proud of my country and my countymates generosity to you and your family is something that is both to be proud of but also to be expected. Aussies in general are the most welcoming generous people who you could possibly meet and your enthusiasm for us and our country is heart-warming. Another thing to be aware of... once you have a Aussie as a mate you will always have someone to stand beside you if your back is against the wall. All the best to you and your family.
You have made a genuine effort to reach out and understand a bit about Australia, no reason you shouldn't get some treats for that. A tip for your Violet Crumble: pop a few in the freezer then smash them over a bowl of vanilla ice cream. Best dessert ever!
So when you get something really cool, thatâs collectable, you say âThatâs going straight in the pool room!â You NEED to watch the Aussie movie âThe Castleâ.
DEFINITELY need to watch that.

@@Aussie_Damo I always thought he said house of serenity ââââ
Those boomerangs are art! Fun fact I learned from an aboriginal guide in Sydney is that the boomerangs that return like this were made as a decoy rather than the tool to actually kill. They would throw it to hover over thick brush to simulate a predator like a hawk which would flush out the other birds etc from the underbrush and then use a heavier killing boomerang to throw across the top of the brush effectively downing any birds taking off. Those were shaped more like an âLâ and didnât return. Those killing boomerangs were so powerful they could break an emu leg.
To operate a returning boomerang imagine a clock with the wind coming from number 12, aim your throw somewhere between
1 & 2 and let the wind carry it back to you, good luck
As a aboriginal I just love that he loves the boomerangs and if not everything about australia. Keep doing your thing and making awesome videos brah
đ€đâ€
You are most welcome mate. The small boomerang in the package is for the mantle piece, it is a display item. As for using the other two the main throwing positions is to have the boomerang vertical for lower ground based game and horizontal for bird game. The boomerangs were one of the tools in the Aboriginals hunting arsenal. There are plenty of youtube's on boomerangs.
To my fellow Aussies that have sent stuff to Ian and family - bloody awesome! I actually shed a tear of happiness.
A little history on Milo, it was apparently made by a chemist and he was trying to perfect it so that it fully dissolved. He had let his daughter try it and she told him it was better like this so that's how he decided to sell it to the public.
Malted milk, I think that's what's I'm thinking of, is another great Australian drink maybe less common than Milo but Milo contains malt. It's also in a can much the same as Milo but creamy yellow coloured tin with a yellowy powder. Incredible when added to ice cream.
I guess this is the closest you'd get to a packet of Tim Tams that never runs out! At least you have enough to give to family and friends to try out. You've done well Ian...you and your family deserve it.

Find a big open field and grab the boomerang and hold it over your shoulder at 60ish degrees with the centre bend facing backwards and then if you throw it forward hard and high enough it will fly around in a big circle and come back to you, it will hurt you if it hits you so be warned when it comes back haha.
The shorter boomerang doesn't come back. Its to knock the roos out, so you ca catch em to eat. The old joke, "what do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back?????" A stick.....
Absolutely, find the direction of the wind and face into it, throw the boomerang 45 degrees to the right level with or slightly down towards the ground (the ones I know of work this way) and it should return 45 degrees to the other side of straight ahead completing a full sweep of 90 degrees.
The boomerang is also used to scare birds back in your direction : ) and to the OP +100 : )

Milo was developed during the war to provide nutrients during times of rations. There are a number of way to drink milo. It does not dissolve into the milk. There is always an obligatory scoop of milo on top of the milk. To get it to dissolve, mix it with a tiny bit of warm water until itâs a paste before adding the milk - then the scoop on top.
this except i use no water. splash of milk, mix well and warm for 20 seconds on a medium heat in the microwave, then more milk (added gradually) then a little more milo on the top. then you can have it cold or put it back in the microwave to warm the whole lot up and melt that layer on the top!
Bundaberg ginger beer tastes really good and refreshing. Just make sure to drink it very cold straight from the bottle.

Boomerangs - the shape and thickness depends on the purpose of the boomerang and the prey that you are targeting. The first ones are made for birds and small animals and will return if you miss the target (if you throw it right). The second thicker one will not return and it is made for bigger animals.
I believe the second one is just for decoration, I've made and held some decoration boomerangs that look like returners but didn't have the capability to return, btw I am a Bundjalung person, so I do have some experience and knowledge.
Also if you want the boomerang to come back wait till the wind is in your face then throw the boomerang at 2 o'clock and it should come back at 10
@@jawa1302 I agree that the second is souvenir only but in outback Qld the two styles of boomerang are used for different prey. They also use a third type of boomerang that is asymmetrical with one side shorter than the other that was used to take down kangaroos specifically. Iâm not aboriginal but my stepfather is and I spent a lot of time in his community. Out there there is not much to get in the way, itâs flat and treeless, so boomerangs were a popular. I am definitely no expert. Full respect to Australiaâs first people.
@@jaywan5553 You also get the pointed end ones for killing, although I have'nt seen one in about 20 years. A tribal elder on the coast used to make them back when we were kids.
Boomerangs are finally tuned instruments. Australia considered Aboriginals to be uneducated farm animals and this was their legal standing for a long time. However Boomerang is one sign that they had some awesome technology.

Hi Ian, as a Bundaberg resident, I need to inform you as to Bundaberg ginger beer. It isnât actually alcoholic beer it is a soft drink with a very interesting bite to it, you need to tip the bottles upside down to mix it up as the good stuff settles to the bottom of the bottle. They have multiple varieties including low sugar variants. It is locally brewed less than 500 m from my front door (as the crow flies). Same goes for Bundaberg rum distillery. I have often enjoyed a cold ginger beer on a hot day and we have a lot of hot days here in Queensland. Enjoy the ginger beer. I love watching your channel
Man you could build a house with Tim Tams as the bricks, everyone is just so generous.
As a child I was so addicted to milo, my come home after school ritual was to make a milo pudding. I get a tall glass and 3/4 full it with milo then the last quarter is filled with icy cold milk. After adding the milk, just stir and stir until it becomes like a super thick shake. Then just spoon it into your mouth and enjoy the the chockie heaven. Another favourite of my childhood was to sprinkle lots of milo on vanilla ice cream and I would enjoy eating that.
Yeah, my mum had to start hiding the Milo, because that was my favourite way to have it too. Just thick Milo sludge!

I do something similar, I fill most of the cup with milk then pile Milo on top, drink most of the milk then mix the remaining milk with the Milo to create the sludge

Aussies have always been generous, Iâm glad youâve enjoyed all of the goodies youâve received. I love seeing the whole familyâs reaction to all of this, it puts a big smile on my face. Iâve got the Bathurst book you received, itâs a really good read. If I find anything I think you might enjoy, I might send them your way :)
I went to Woolies today and the bloody Tim Tams were sold out. Thanks Ian....
You will love the Wagon Wheels. Theyâre a favourite.
Eat De Wagon Wheel!
No way. Wagon Wheels are so crap!
@@fiyerolee was never a fan, but the commercials stick in the memory
@@fiyerolee They're a lot more delicious than a pickled herring!
The newer version are disappointing, back in the day 1 would last 2 grown men a day.
Stopping the video half way to say how adorable your little girl is. Sheâs so sweet â€ïž. Love your reaction to our Aussie stuff. Itâs a nice distraction so thank you for making these videos.
Boomerangs come in different sizes, and shapes for different purposes. The ones you have are more novelty, decorative ones. But there are some big gnarly looking ones with one longer arm used for hunting. Others are made for corroboree. Thereâs quite a lot of different types made for different purposes and some designs reflective of the region (in county) they come from. Quite a rich history surrounding boomerangs.
This video is awesome, by the way. Your expressions with each unboxing are awesome.
Mate you gonna need to invite the whole neighbourhood over to get through all those goodies! Stocked up! Awesome to see a few ânon-foodâ items too. Surely someone from Cooper Pedi can send you over a small piece of opal tooâŠ
I love watching you all opening the Aussie stuff
Hope you have a treadmill to work all those Tim Tams off lol
Cheers from Bendigo, Victoria, Australia
G'day Ian, regarding the boomerangs, the first two look like they are made from plywood and if so have the aerofoil shape sanded in one end at the top and the other end at the bottom, the one in the box looks to be a single piece of wood, it should also have the same twist (like the sanded area as the other two) if it's a genuine throwing boomerang if it is completely flat on the bottom it's probably meant as a display boomerang, as suggested in one of the other posts.
What a humble family. It's great to see Americans appreciating Aussie products. Subscribed!
The traditional boomerang comes in many sizes and shapes. It depends on the purpose most do not return as they are ment to hunt larger prey like kangaroos. Where as the returning boomerang was used to scare birds into traps.
Q: What do you call a Boonerang that doesnt come back?
A: A Stick!
@@simonmccolljones2445 itâs a Kylie, I think. Where the name came from
Those boomerangs are really about the artwork that is on them. That artwork is boss. They are never meant to be thrown as a throwing boomerang is made from a bent tree root. The grain of the wood has to follow the shape of the boomerang so that they do not split when they hit the ground.
Great video. Thanks to my fellow Aussies who have been so generous. I love watching your stuff, youâre a top bloke.
So pleased and relieved to see that you were gifted AUTHENTIC boomerangs. Indonesia has been selling Austrralian Aboriginal items and trying to pass them off as authentic - they achieve this by placing the green and yellow 'Made in Australia' sticker on their items and then sell them to companies as stock. The boomerangs you received have the gold authentication sticker on it. Enjoy. They are precious!
Chicken salt is great on fries.
I love it on chicken and cheese crumbed sausages too
I'd bath in it to be honest
Fries? They are bloody Chips Mate.
I almost feel bad for him, I feel like heâs got 50 boxes on his way of Tim tams đđ
This is the opposite of a problem đ
Omggg hahhahaha đ I gotta clean clean clean to make more space
I wish people would send me 50 packs of timtams
Ok...these Aussies are so generous!! And those white chocolate Tim Tams đ look incredible!!!!!!!!! The books and coins and boomerangs......so kind!!
