    What a stunning area in perfect conditions.

      It was like walking on the moon. An amazing place. No friendly doggies, just the ponies a far off. Did see a mountain hare though. Thanks for watching. Atb

    Stennerskeugh Clouds are neither in The Howgills or in The Yorkshire Dales.

      Stennerskkeugh clouds, according to the 2024 OS map is within the Yorkshire Dales National Park boundary by approx 6.4 kms, the nearest boundary being at Nateby. The quarry where I parked is at the foot of Harter Fell, admittedly in the northeastern corner of the Howgills.
