In this video artist Andy Beck takes a walk on Fell End Clouds, a limestone pavement in the Eden Valley in Cumbria, Northern England. It's a short route but full of interest and relatively quiet despite being featured in Alfred Wainwright's book- Walks in the Howgill fells.

Thank you! The rock formations are incredible, I can see why you list this walk as a favourite. Also, thanks for your great camera work and walking back to collect the camera. 😊👍

Very nice walk to be fair and nice to see the history with the old lime kilns and over the seasons you have captured some stunning shots, the first one in particular, with the sun peaking over the ridge was superb! Cheers Alan

Thanks Alan, yes the light was particularly good on that day. The Howgills to the west block out good sunsets for much of the year, that was taken in late November when the sun sets well to the south.

One of your best videos yet Andy. Such an interstesting and beautiful location. I had spotted the lone tree from a distance during my visits to the area, but I have never been up on the actual Limestone pavement. During this video, you gave the game away. My wife and I assumed you were up there with a film crew :)

haha, thanks for the comment Chris, the only crew is me and the hound :) Sadly some of the sound in this film isn't up to standard but I have sorted the issue out now for the next episode. It's a lovely walk this one, ideal for a leg stretch if you are in the area.

Great video. Looks a fantastic little spot Andy. Do you find yourself looking at a scene differently when you're sketching as opposed to photographing ?

Thanks Don, interesting question. I think I look at a scene or subject with an artist's eye first.
