    oh hell yes. THIS is the look most "retro low poly" inspirations seem to miss! the faces are essentially just static images plastered onto the character model. the look is very reminiscent of goldeneye 64 (but waaay less janky looking lol) and i LOVE that.

      What a compliment! Most people don't get that my style is inspired by those old classics but with a modern approach 🙏🙏🙏

      Cause it's a higher definition transfer of the photo.

    Gaaaaaaaah amazing!
    Would love an overview of creating the texture and your process for doing what you just did! Painting the picture?! Gah awesome.
    The head was also very nicely modelled

      Thanks! Overall painting is a Prozess in it self and can get pretty advanced but i have a few beginner friendly ideas/projects. I definitely wanna dive in, maybe also a "arcane" "dishonest" texture painting tutorial.
      Gald you're interested :)

    Awesome, didn't know this is how people made it! One thing that could sell the PS1 look a bit more is a limited color range - if I recall correctly older video hardware was limited to a tighter palette.

      Sim e não, a textura ainda tem muito detalhe pra ser considerado de ps1, se diminuísse a qualidade da textura acredito que ficaria mais estiloso.

    Love your stenciling, I'm trying to learn this workflow as well. Do you have any times for the profile texture? You used a different picture which I would think is a different color and value from the front, yet somehow blended it. Any tips on this would be great!

    • @StarkCraftsYT
      @StarkCraftsYT  Před rokem

      Exactly! I used a different image of a model in black and white and i adjusted the color

    How did you make those green lines at the end of the 3d model of the head? Could you do a tutorial on how to do it?

    • @StarkCraftsYT
      @StarkCraftsYT  Před rokem +2

      Its simple! it's a modifier like the mirror modifier. It's called "Wireframe"
      Just copy your 3d model and put wireframe on it and then change the material to a color

  • @morinoratcha7330

    How did you do the erasing thing where you erase the texture of the head and the realistic image pops out?(4:44) I'm very new to blender and I want to do this style so badly.

    • @StarkCraftsYT
      @StarkCraftsYT  Před 2 lety +1

      I basically used a image as an stencil.
      I use this technique very often for realistic textures.
      I'm explaining it step pre step in this video: czcams.com/video/vsAhi9ZxM3k/video.html
      And I create AI faces with this:

    How did you attach the cube to the face so effortlessly? Every time I try to join them it says something about incorrect selection and then I end up having to cut out panels and attach the vertices individually.

    • @StarkCraftsYT
      @StarkCraftsYT  Před rokem +1

      There are a few ways!
      If u have two separate meshes - select - in object mode- join (ctrl+j) and both should be mirrored or not or it will cause issues
      Second option
      Edit mode inside the mash - ctrl a - insert a mesh
      If nothing works Try it with a new project and try it with two cubes or something for troubleshooting
