It really sucks that the Rock's ego got in the way of depicting one of the best comic book rivalries. I too loved the first Shazam film and before the controversy surrounding Levi opinions on vaccines, the movie felt heartwarming, joyful and something truly passionate. It sucks that the Rock wanted Black Adam to be a solo hero fighting against Superman even though Black Adams entire character is meant to revolve around Shazam and because of his disassociation with thw character both films suffered severely and now we may never see these two characters depicted correctly for a while, if we ever see them again in the long term of the upcoming DCU

I'd say The Rock has fallen from grace, but alas, that ship has sailed.
Honestly if DC finds another actor to play Black Adam it might redeem SHAZAM!
I'm sure there is an actor out there, other than Dwayne Johnson, that would make make for a great Black Adam casting, though I doubt we'll see the character for a while, at least in the long term future of the DCU.
I actually would love to see a qualified Egyptian actor actually get a chance to play the character, though I imagine there aren't that many mainstream Egyptian actors out there
Great explanation on details I never even knew about. I love Zachary Levi’s campiness, of course I’m biased and as far as the characters aging out ~ I guess the kids could have kids that would carry on? Anyway, excellent job on the video!

This movie also made the mistake of being released a week after Scream VI and a week before JW4. So, Fury of the Gods was stuck between a Rock (get it) and a Hard Place.
If he was an anti vxer that would make him intelligent.
I say can Shazam let it all blow over and one day try again. Not just Shazam but all of DCEU is a bluder. I think one day also when a more lore accurate actor can fit Captain Marvel better as I alwats thought Levi was ok but a bit too soft in the face and voice and too skinny. Shazam is one of my favorite DC Characters even mainly because I see how large hid potential is and how dirty he has been treated by DC.
I genuinely really liked shazam Fury of the gods, and I'm glad someone agrees with me that the rock played a big part in it flopping, so I really hope we can see more of these characters
Agreed, sucks that Shazam sucked, I liked the Shazam movie and just Shazam as a superhero in general.
This entire debacle ruined my trust on Dwayne Johnson and (unfortunately) Zach Levi as well.
