Honestly as a Giants fan, I had 0 expectations for this season, full on tear it down and get good pieces back for the future, I never could have imagined this kind of season.

Same for me as a Red Sox fan. I can’t believe we made it into the playoffs, nevermind the ALCS with a shot at the World Series
Predictions are indeed quite difficult. People who can call the surprises get paid a lot of money because its such a rare skill. So you did fairly well, all things considered. Mad respect for putting yourself out there knowing what happens when you are inevitably wrong. We enjoy you doing it, thats what matters.

@@notmarcus17 i guess but the only thing that has held the Braves up was Joc Peterson. Outside of Housers pitching, every bullpen arm has done their job by not allowing them to score. If the brewers can hit, then they'll be okay

The biggest stories people should keep in mind when looking back at preseason predictions are 1) The Giants came out of nowhere to steal the NL West from the Dodgers 2) The Padres with the second highest World Series odds and also making huge trades to win now completely flopped. One of the most disappointing seasons by a team in any pro sport I can remember in a long time 3) The cardinals winning 17 straight to steal the last wildcard from the Reds 4) the Mets absolute mid season implosion. They had the division handed to them on a silver platter and still fumbled the bag. The Braves mid season comeback after so many close losses and injuries was something special. 5) the Red Sox with getting their manager back and a lot of the players acquired from the Betts trade outperformed preseason expectations and held their own in one of the most stacked divisions I can remember in a long time.

MLB The Show had the Mets winning which makes sense if Degrom and Thor were healthy. And Lindor as good as he is in MLB The Show just sometimes carries. I was iffy about your pick but it wasn't a reach imo. The chips didnt fall into place especially with the Rotation.

As a Cubs fan I really didn't expect the outcome of what happened in the season. We were in first place and blew it. Lost 11 games in a row twice in 2 months. We're up 7-0 2 times and ended up losing. It's pretty bad. Hope that next year we have better pitching but, that's like asking for a million dollars for Christmas. Good luck for 2022 for the Cubs. I guess the Mets also.
I will call it now: Those few days at 1st place on NL central division it was nothing but a mirage, painfully it is what happened.
While I am at it, the main fault is the fact that the person in charge took a "lets wait and see" approach instead of a proactive one (what the Braves GM did was 3 thumbs up stuff) THATS what did Cubs seasons dirty and here we are, now he is claiming that Cubs needs pitching, lets once WAIT and SEE how that pans out.

If I’m not mistaken Marc said there would be 2 team from the NL West with over 100 wins. Just one of them was wrong.
Giants fan. The offense was good in the short season last year, so I thought that if the pitching came through, they would be able to challenge for (but ultimately fall short of) a second playoff spot with around 85 wins. But that was my idea of a dream season. If I had to pick a win number at the beginning of the season, I'd have said 75 and felt I was being optimistic. I'm not coming back on anybody who picked the Giants for 3rd or 4th - I don't think anyone could defend picking the D-Backs over them, but that's about it.

The one thing I disagree with you saying at the end of the video is that the Cardinals were a surprise playoff team. They were actually the NL Central favorites going into the season according to a lot of analysts and I believe betting sites

I totally called the Braves beating the Brewers. Everyone said I was crazy, but I knew the brewers lack of hitting was going to be their downfall especially when going up against the Braves powerful hitting corps.
A lot of the braves games over 500 were in the first half of the season before all the moves

What happened to the Yankees losing video?
I don't think anyone expected much of the Giants but good God did they surprise everyone. All throughout the off season, all the talk was about the dodgers and padres. Hell, even the first series everyone was talking about "NLCS battle" and I think when the cracks began to form was after the sticky stuff scandal. Padres pitchers basically forgot how to pitch in the second half. Giants outplayed two salary juggernauts in the regular season

Zero expectations and experienced an amazing season
Marc Rocco will be back. Injuries and bad pitching hurt us all year. He put the pitching in good spots earlier in the year and they just didn’t perform. If they get some pitching this off-season we will be back competing next season

As a Giants fan I had no idea that we were gonna be the team with the best record in baseball going into the playoffs and like every other Giants fan I also had no faith in Gabe Kapler but he proved a lot of people wrong
It sucks that the Brewers got very cold in the last two weeks of the season and into the postseason, if they didn't get cold they almost definitely would have played way better against the Braves and would have scored way more than two runs against them.
