    Literally just ordered a Protek 35 with the DJI system. SOOOOOOO pumped!!!! Using this as my whoop, also have an airblade UAV Transformer 4” long range with crossfire and caddx. Now I just need to get my freestyle quad built, then a 7" LR. Thought about getting rid of my DJI Mavic 2 Pro, but for stills it's pretty rad.

I was very intrigued and all ready to go digital, purchasing the DJI goggles but i know the fpv base group is analog and it would put me in the right place as a beginner. Started FVP about 6 months ago. My first FPV drone is the DJI FPV and i loved how easy to transition from the toy drones to this. I'm still trying to master manual mode. What do you recommend for a CineWhoop drone for a beginner because my DJI FVP is a bit dangerous and very loud. I'm debating between the DJI Avata FPV and the iFlight Protek35 with my lack of FPV experience?; and do you know if the VTX antenna on a Emax Tinyhawk II be replace because my TinyHawk II antenna broke off in a crash? I loved your videos and keep going.💯❣

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  Před 8 měsíci +1

      You may want to do like most people and get an RTF kit (READY TO FLY KIT) and teach yourself how to fly in ACRO mode (this is what DJI calls Manual... but no one else on the planet uses that term). If you can fly a tiny drone in ACRO mode, then you can certainly fly the DJI FPV drone in MANUAL mode. Have a look at my reviews of the SUB 250 RTF kit.

      The FPV Drone hobby is very different from the Beginner Camera Drone hobby. You see the camera drone hobby like a DJI MINI 2 has everything you need in a box so even a child could operate it. In the FPV hobby you have to purchase all the components separately because you are not restricted to everything just working one way. I want to start with FPV drone flying (got about 15 hours in a Sim now) and thinking ahead what drone to fly. My style is not super slow like cinewhoop. I want nice recorded footage with some spicy flips or a faster turn or chase.
    You recommend more of a 5 inch for this or can this Protek 35 do it? I will be recording with a gopro

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  Před 2 lety +1

      You need to buy your own RC CHARGER. Remember in the RC Hobby nothing is handed to you and it is up to you to buy all your own gear (good or poor quality). If you buy good gear, then you never have to replace it. Only in the BEGINNER Camera Drone Hobby (like DJI, etc) are those drones made for beginners, so everything is included in the box, however, each time you buy a new camera drone you buy everything all over again. In the RC Hobby it does not work like that. You only buy the piece of gear you need.

Can you give your professional opinion on which one is better... Flight time... Stability... Etc?. I love your videos... Absolutely love them all.. I'm just torn between the two... and you have had real time first hand experience with both. Can you hold me build the best set with all I need?. I just want to make the right purchase once. @CAPTAINDRONE798  Před 2 lety +2

      In the world of FPV all drones are excellent.... There is no such thing as a crappy FPV drone, like there is in the CAMERA DRONE hobby. FPV is all based on the skillset of the pilot and knowledge of the hobby. You can tweak any drone to perform as you wish it to perform.

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  Před 3 lety +1

      Less loud than a 5" cinewhoop due to how the ducts are designed. The OSMO ACTION would need to be placed on the ProTek 35 and it would be fine.

    I have to fly drones for business and getting my Part 107. YOUR videos really show how much fun (not just business) droning can be and it helps you to develop flying skills on a level I would probably never obtain with the Mavic 2 Pro... well, different applications.
    Now, I do have the radio controller for the M2P... would that work for this setup you are showing here?
