This one was a lot of fun to make. I also want to see what kind of cinewhoop skills you guys have. Send me some of your flight vids on IG!
I have a Beta95x v2 its amazing
My first thought was 'Is he sponsored by iFlight or something?' - skip to 7:10 everyone!
@@LiamKurtSmith they were nice enough to send me the quad to review this time though!
How did you fly through matt it was amazing 😁
@@MattPochwat they are a fantastic company!
Most underrated drone YT channel fr

Hands down

I just bought one of these! Havent got in the air yet... but I have been watching your videos ever since I started investing in FPV! Thank you for making your videos, they are an awesome resource for beginners like me
Love your stuff dude, I can't even tell you how helpful some of your videos have been for me just getting into the hobby. Thanks for what you do!
Awesome man. That's why I try to put so much time into each one!
@@MattPochwat It definitely shows! I hope your channel continues to grow and I'll definitely stick around to see it happen.
Just got my first fpv drone. I've been watching a lot of your stuff lately, got a Mobula7, Betafpv lite 2 transmitter, and the Echine 800d goggles. I'm super excited to start flying!
Just ordered my Nazgul 5! Thanks for all your help and information... this'll be fun!
I really appreciate the footnotes, they are very useful for a beginner like me, thanks!

The intro is fantastic.
This cinewhoop looks amazing!!
I love the Protek series. I got myself a P25 because I want to fly in small spaces, but I agree with you with the fact that naked GoPro are a bit cumbersome. Anyway, either the P25 or the P35 are great drones to have in your arsenal, you can't go wrong with them
Can’t use normal GoPro with the 25?
Can the protek 25 carry a gopro 9? perhaps with the lipo power cable?
@@definingslawek4731 I don't think so, and if it does, it will be very heavy, and potentially having issues in the future with your motors. I wouldn't advice it
finally, i've been waiting for your new video, i start interest into fpv drone because i watch your video.
and hell yeah you really make me want that cinewhoop
4:28 good idea!!!! I didn’t for my first flights outside and the bare plastic bumpers chopped up my leg when the wind caught it flying through my legs!
Awesome man! I want so bad a Protek, but I'm undecided between 25 or 35, because of the size! congratulations on the video, I think I'll move on to protek 35.
I just got my Protek35 in the mail and I'm also in South Korea! So cool.
I saw your car number plate and started freaking out 😂
Great review. Power line for Gopro is something. Keep it up! Bro.
Thanks, Matt. I love your youthful enthusiasm. You're a good salesman as well. Think I'll be getting The Protek 35 instead of the Bumblebee. I fly every day and it's always windy. Usually very windy. The ProTek does better in the wind. In fact. I heard cinewhoops because of their ducts are terrible in the wind. And referring to the closing scene. keep practicing. You may have to change out your car drivers. But, one day you'll master it. See you on the other side. :)
I live in Indy area and I recognized Tappers 3:03 right away! Nice!
Awesome goggle straps!
Juan is a good guy!
just got one, cant wait to fly it
Just got mine, love it! Keep it rollin' man! :)
the short and wide af motors are a great idea for this form factor it seems!
Released on my b-day! great vid!
Thanks for the video mate! Very inspiring, I've hit the like button!
Videos are getting better and better man.
Thanks man!
I've been flying a Holybro Kopis Mini for 6 months now with a GoPro 9 or Max on top. It's heavy for sure. That power cable would help. My biggest complaint is the durability of the ducts. I've used stock, and designed and printed various styles, but none hold up to big crashes. I realize it's asking a lot, but it would be nice to have to worry less about them.
As always...great video and review! I will try ones to fly through the moving car but I am not that far yet.
Great review, I enjoy the protek 35 over other cinewhoops I have flown as well
Which cinewhoops have you tried?
This whole ducting idea for cinewhoops seems like a dead end to me, atleast with our current tech and tolerances.
Like, why did we go down that line to begin with?
Just prop guards seems to make so much more sense
@@cinialvespow1054 I’ve flown the diatone taycan, the green iflight one that looks like a taycan.. and now the protek 35... the protek 35 acts like it just has prop gaurds and not ducts, I’m yet to pull the prop gaurds off to see if it changes the flight charectoristics or not because it can be flown either way
i might try that car shot! With my mobula 6 hd it'll have to be at 5mph and 200% speed though... ahaha great review of this quad! Love this style of review, your videos are just next level Matt
This was REALLY helpful for a beginner like me man thank you!
How bad does the GoPro eat up the battery compared to not having it connected?
Woah awesome drone! and also awesome shots!
thanks man!
Nice Video Matt! Thanks for this! I also own an Protek35 HD, which Rates did you recommend, or better, on which rates are you going to fly this little beast?
Good review mate
“Medium to larger open spaces” exactly. I have a Protek 35 and just got a cinelog25 and I gotta say, I wish I had seen this video first haha
And man, if you have rates you like, I’d love to have a starting point for this drone. I don’t really know what I’d start to tweak with it, but something definitely feels like it could be improved
Great video Matt. Just got myself one love to know what rates you now use?
Hey Matt! I am planing to buy the protek35 analog version and I was wandering how good does the vtx perform in maximum power(300mw) in indoor places...Did you test the analog version? 300mW seems to me to week for cinematic indoor flying. Do you know if I can change the vtx on the protek 35 with the rush tank mini?
Great review Matt! What screwdriver do I need in order to take off the top of this quad in order to replace the rx module?
Great stuff man! Definitely look up the Emax avan 3.5" props to give a try on that quad.
I like iflight. Looking at a Nazgul or Cidora 4s for my next quad.
This video was so helpful thank you so much
I did some flying through shots but with DJI drone. Now, I'm on my 4th day on simulator with tango 2 pro. Hope to get the goggles and my first drone soon.
Hey, which goggles did u get for your first one?
@@itz_dxve I don't have goggles yet. I'm using DJI Phantom 4 on my fly though and pull back videos.
I recently got myself this cable and can only recommend it! It's a must-have for everyone out there. 3 weeks ago I ordered the Protek35, I'm already counting the days until the good piece finally arrives :)
As soon as it is there, I will safely take part in your challenge :) Challenge accepted haha
I would still be interested with what rates you fly with
Good Video Matt! Keep it up, I love your content
greetz Jay
Hey Jay, I'll have to check later, but the the protek came set up with a max vel of around 900 on all axis. I cut that down to about half after filming this video.
Keep up great videos Matt love them love your attitude
Thanks, I appreciate that!
Hi, Matt don't want to go all 🐦 on it but you do make good, engaging videos and, although I've never even flown an FPV out of the SIM yet, as soon as my stuff arrives imma get into this challenge in some way or other!
Let’s goooo he’s back!!
400th like! Subbed too. Nice try there buddy. Always wanted this shot too but kinda hard to find a long straight empty road in my country. Keep up the content man!
Great video! I've just finished binge-watching all your videos (again) in preparation of taking my first leap into FPV. Considering the Nazgul V2 and the ProTek35 are almost identically priced, which would you go for as a first FPV drone?
I understand that they are intended for different types of flying and to have both would be fantastic, but for now I'm keen for one drone with an entry level setup.
What did you choose 8 months later
He must be out flying..
Always love your videos
I did buy the Protek25 recently and instantly killed the Vista Unit by updating it (overheated according to Caddx).
Had to wait a few weeks for a replacement (which costs 40 USD since overheating is excludet in the warranty) and now had to troubleshoot some seetings and ESC Firmwares (the Protek25 has some issues with burning ESCs that need some fixing by the user which is a hassle even though iFlight is providing info on that in their Support).
Finally I have it ready to fly but it is so horribly loud that I don't want to fly indoors and annoy all my neighbours (it is way louder than the loudes vacuum that I ever owned) haha.
Now I wait for better weather and then your car Shot is #1 on my List.
Thanks for the great review the Protek35 might be the best cinewhoop for a full sized gopro in the future!
they are definitely loud.
i have the protek 35 and would love to know what battery and rates you use! Cool vid!
Great stuff man!
Great review!
Hey Matt! Great video as usual!...Can you advice which Cinewhoop drone can work best with the old DJI Racing Edition goggles and the Taranis QX7? Not sure if I can get something with HD on that setup. Cheers!
Would you recommend this for someone starting out on fpv? My goal is to get proximity cinematic shots but i also want to surf down mountains so im not sure about the range. Would this drone be good for that?
Never give up, man, never give up.
Hey Matt, what’s the best way to get link quality of the controller on the DJI goggles when using this drone with the tango 2 radio/receiver
That's another of my favourite FPV CZcamsrs saying this is a great quad. Thanks for the video. I'm a big fan of iFlight's products (I have the Nazgul5 v2 analogue), but I am looking to get a cinewhoop this year for a project I have in mind (chasing BMX riders along a BMX race track; can't do that with the Nazgul5 safely!). I had in mind to get the Bumblebee v2 (or now v3), but this is looking more like something that would suit me. Quick question: iFlight are about to release a 6s version of the Protek35; which would be better, do you think? That's a comparison I'd like to see
So this seems like a good all around FPV? I just returned my DJI FPV and feel something like this would be much more ideal to me. The 25 or 35 and what googles to use? Thanks
Just ordered the digital version of the Drone to fly with DJI any suggestions on the new settings that you are going to use?
Hi Matt ! What do you think about getting protek 25 and use it with the go pro without battery? Using the balance cable you show on this video? I think protek 35 is to big for indoor shooting. Thanks in advance.
ambitious shot
Nice video. I’m thinking about getting one. However, I’m wondering if you can use 6S batteries on the Protek35??
hey there,
I changed out the 3 blade props that come with the protek35 with the HQProp Duct-89MMX8 8 blade props. its alot quiet now but doesn't seem to fly as good. is this a tuning issue or what? great video
Hey Matt, do u think that it would make sense to update to the DJI Googles although i just got my new skyzone02x?
BumbleBee V3 seemed to be perfect solution to get started. Especially for indoor flights. But in the meantime, I saw many Protek 35 reviews and now I'm not sure about BB V3. Maybe I should order Protek 35...
Hey Matt love the videos ! Can you help with a daft question. In the Uk its a pain to fly a drone with a fixed camera. Can you recommend one I can just take off easily whenever its suits ? I adore this Protek 35 by the way, many thanks
Hello! Thank you for the video! Please tell me if you compare IFlight BumbleBee HD V3 and iflight protek35 which do you think is better? Which one will you choose?
Nice! Is there a mount available to use an SMO 4K on this yet?
Definitely want a cinewhoop. This might be it.👍
Hey I have a question does this drone come with the headset or would that be a separate purchase?
What battery did you use? Did you use the gopro9 cable adapter plug to battery on that shoot?
Hi am looking to getting started with FPV. Which controller and goggle works with this and also wh8cj will you prefer. This or DJI. Thanks
Appreciate your videos and quality! I got the protek35 too. Could you make a video on how to tune it properly! ✌🏽
I thought the tune was great. I would definitely lower the rates significantly though!
How long flightime it gave you with that CNHL battery and gopro hero 9 on it? I have the same setup, and dont know what Im doin wrong, but with gopro on it I got around 1 minute flightime which seems really short to me. Thanks
Thanks for the great review, I’ve been eyeing the Protek series for a few months now, but have been hesitant about the $400 price tags for the Vista version. Then I saw your crashes and you made no mention of broken ducts or frame. Did anything break on those crashes with the car? I’ve been loving the Iflight Alpha A85. It’s been durable as hell and I race it around my shop just about every day with lots of crashes and only the props break in a hard crash because the ducts give and crush into the props, but the ducts haven’t broke yet.
No broken ducts or props!
What rates would you suggest for a beginner who is just getting started with fpv on Protek35 is his first quad ? Would really appreciate your help with this. Thank you 🌞🙏
Great video. Are you using a case with your gp 9 on this
What are the best batteries for this drone? I already bought the DJI goggles and the DJI control… it will be my first FPV, I will need a charger too .. if you can help me with that! thanks
I will be tagging you when I complete this shot.
When I bought my Protek 35 there were very sharp settings. The slight movement of the sticks caused a strong displacement of the drone. Please tell me how to set up the drone correctly?
Great video🚀 Protek35 is an awesome drone.
thanks man!
did you configure the protek with a different rate or pid to fly indoor?
Question: I have a cetus pro and I am getting okay with it. Would a cinewhoop like the one you have here be a good next drone for me?
I'm not interested in stunts, racing or high flying, at least not at this point. I mostly like to fly in smooth routes around the house. I doubt seriously I would ever be interested in commercial use. But I do like full control and not the GPS stuff from DJI.
It's a great quad!
Yeah
czcams.com/video/Sp72DW9M740/video.html❤️❤️
Cool Matt! I have ProTek 25 and it is awesome. I perform deep snow landing almost everyday .-)
Awesome, did you put conformal coating on it?
@@MattPochwat not yet, I am going to swap ProKek into digital and also add TBS Crossfire as soon as goggles V2 arrive. So right now flying analog and each time I dive into snow - I need to get rid of it. Sometimes needs to be dried indoor, sometimes the car heating is OK. But anyway - it is fun ;-)
@@RafalGalinski_drony wow, I'm surprised it continues to work! Don't give me any ideas..
did you use the same one for the coffee shop video?
hi, does this drone have pre installed beeper? plus do u know a place to get wiring diagram for to solder a tbs crossfire transmitter?
I heard it is not good in wind weather. Can you advise anything "windproof" ?
Check out the GepRc Cinepro 2" or the CineQueen 3". They are pretty rock solid, small but strong enough for indoor/outdoor, and they come with a Caddx Tarsier Dual Cameras with on board HD-DVR. Great Review of the Protek, your opinion is appreciated.
That’s awesome man!!!!
I want to still try this shot cuz I think it would be super cool
Thanks for sharing... have you done the signal hack 800 mw or is it the stock 25 mw 🤔 definitely not quite upto flying through a car 😆
are all the ducts in one piece after all the hard landings on the concrete??
Would like to see you get that shot Try airmode on a switch so it won't suck up to the car it'll just bounce off headrest and such.
I enjoyed this video. i am new to fpv with the new dji fpv
How long is your flight time? The one I owned without GoPro only get 5-6mins.
Great video,KEEP IT UP
Matt first off great video! 2nd I'm new and have just been learning on tiny whoops.. I'm wondering do you fly in level mode for these shots or full acro? Thanks (I have a hell of a time with the tinywhoop in acro indoors)
Don’t use acro mode indoor, it’s used to fly outside in open spaces, inside home is better to use level mode or you will constantly crashing. I actually find is easier to fly in acro in open spaces than level mode
What battery do you use for your protek35? I'm waiting for mine and don't know what to buy- 1300 or 1550
Hey guys im Just getting into the Hobby. I got a tx16s and the TBS Tracer Modul for it. I now wanted to get the protek 35 but which Receiver do i have to Pick for it to fly With the Tracer?
Nice review and stunt try!
Matt, what happened to "Monthly Flow" tho? Really enjoyed the first ep
lmao I'm surprised no one has asked before now.
My question for u brotha man I just got hip to drones still don’t have one what’s the best one that comes with all the stuff I need out the box to fly don’t really have enough to buy all the best high tech gear separately is there good ones u know that come with everything goggles controller battery and drones hopefully u see this I’m super interested in getting in to this hobbie
