somehow i think what i was saying hit the alg and brought up Mates of State, a very relevant song to something i was talking about just moments before in a weird obscure way, because its very unlikely to show any music even in these categories for me lately. Mates of State brought me here after two tracks, now a few tracks in here and I'm starting to think like you maybe! amazing sound!

I grew up listening to metal, gangster rap, and punk rock but I can't get enough of this now. I'm 42 now. Maybe that's why. I think I still would have secretly liked it when I was younger though.

They definitely have the Cowboy Junkies vibe. The difference in the bands is Tessa can sing on pitch. I can't listen to Cowboy Junkies, she sings so far off key - consistently flat.

Stumbled on this completely by accident - it's pure velvet dreaminess! I hear hints of soft Fleetwood Mac with the heavenly vocals of All About Eve. There's a touch of nostalgia without any cliche. Lovely😊👍

This makes me think of my dad, his coworker told me of the many times he almost died in the helicopter rides to work in the mountains even though whenever he was back from his trips he always have a smile on his face little did I know that smile meant I survived another trip over the mountains my daughter…oh the sacrifices he’s done since my mother passed, I’ll never see him the same way again!

To me, the theme is about escape. Maybe you're content with your life, but perhaps you're laying wide awake in bed at night and dare to just leave, explore the world.
