Hated watching him, Chancellor and Sherman dominate my Niners for all those years. You really don’t appreciate how good some teams are in the moment bc of things like that. What a special free safety, and a special team. Much respect from a lifelong 49ers fan!
Earl’s stats are right there with Troy Polomalu’s. Thomas actually has the same stats, in less time than Troy. Let that sink in.
But troy is a strong safety and earl is a free safety

Eric berry could of been better than all of them but injury’s and cancer killed his career

I know Derrick Henry made this guy look like he scared to tackle but this guy is a sure HOF candidate. Man's was the best tackler of the legion of boom, Kam was the biggest hitter for sure, but this guy was the most consistent tackler of the group imo

9:39 is the greatest play I have ever seen Earl make. That speed, range, and overall play recognition is unfair for opposing offenses. He is so fired up after the play he loses his mouth due to the uncontainable intensity that manifested itself in the shake he did. I LOVE watching this guy play football.
Hes a blur. Makes plays that others players can't.

This is why the Seahawks are so good , they have star players were normally there isn't. it's because everyone on the field believes their job is just as important as Pete Carroll's. it's each individual man's unified responsibility for the win or the loss.
They are definitely a unit that works together.

Thats a defense thats loaded with some of the best players at their respective positions in the entire league. They are locked up under contract for the next few years too.... They could be something special.
