Not just a great Wide Reciever, but a great football player overall! I mean how many top Wr's in the league go out on special teams to block punts? How many block like he does? What I love about Doug is that he's as likable off the field as he is on it. Man of faith and an inspiration. As a Seattle Fan, idk if I can say he's a top 5 Wideout, but he's very close. Top 10 I'd say, and the numbers back it up
Really nice guy, too. My friend was recovering in the hospital after he sustained a coma and permanent brain damage by a drunk driver, Doug was there to see his friend, my friend recognized Doug even with his condition, and Doug spent the time to talk to him, take pictures with him, etc.

Assuming you know approximately what the draft is, choosing new players just coming out of university. He wasn't considered good enough by any team to spend one of their finite number of draft picks on. Drafting a player gives the drafting team exclusive right to sign a contract with that player, until they release him or sell the right to another team.

Hate me for it, call me stupid. But I think Doug Baldwin is the best all around receiver in the league, don't let the stats and awards fool you. He can play inside, and outside, he is one of the best run blocking receivers, arguably the most efficient receiver, he almost never drops passes. This means he has great hands, he runs really crisp routes. On top of that he can play special teams. other guys I can think of that are like him are Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Smith but we all know Smith retired.

I also wish he showed his "cross-overs" off the line. He has mentioned in interviews that he models his game after Allen Iverson and he even took notes on players to figure out how they act/react off the line and on the field. A HUGE part of his game because he's nothing special physically, but makes up for it in skill and technique.
