  • Earl Thomas sits down with Josina Anderson to talk about his time in Seattle, the 2014 Super Bowl and his ongoing drama with coach Pete Carroll. During a Week 4 matchup vs. the Arizona Cardinals, the Seahawks safety showed Carroll the middle finger as he was being carted off the field with a broken leg. Thomas now tells Josina that he doesn’t regret the action and confirms that the two haven’t spoken since. Now with the Baltimore Ravens, Thomas talks about his new team and his plans with the Ravens moving forward.

    Earl may not have wanted to practice... but I never saw the man ever dogging it on the field. He was balls out every single play, every game. Nobody worked harder than Earl on game day, even when he was unhappy.

      I mean I can't say I blame him for not wanting to practice either tbh, Seattle wasn't paying him. Why practice for a team that's not even gonna pay the man. I wouldn't have either to be honest

    • @geor3260
      @geor3260 Před 4 lety +30

      He was being paid, just not what he wanted to be paid. His hold out was for pretty legitimate reasons though in my opinion. He saw what had happened to other team mates that got injured in Seattle and didn't what to be a victim of the same circumstance due to injury. He was looking for a contract that offered guaranteed money that would take care of his family if he got a career ending injury while giving the team everything he had on the field.

      @soulessshadow5356 Před 4 lety +6

      Instead of these huge contracts with just guaranteed money for the years that they play, I'm waiting for players to test out structuring Contracts that are guaranteed high end livable wages for life. Nothing extreme but like 250 thousand for 50 years with performance bonus's for the years they play. Plus any of these guys that are really big, they brand themselves and make as much or more in endorsement deals anyway. Why not guarantee your entire future?

    • @royhoequist8846
      @royhoequist8846 Před 4 lety +6

Seattle legion of boom didnt have to play every down and they stayed fresh. Once wilson, wagner, thomas, sherman, kam, Bennett and avril and baldwin and kj all got paid withinn2 seasons. @lamakicker69 Před 4 lety

      carmelitoo _ Except “everyone” also don’t understand football other than the basics. The Seahawks didn’t throw that game the Pats beat them because they were true better team. Throwing the ball there isn’t a bad decision it just seems like a bad decision because you have hindsight. If you actually know the facts you’d know the Pats beat the Seahawks because they outplayed them, not because the Seahawks threw it away. Learn the game.
