@@Scott83016 not to the wheels. to the wheels its a 90 horsepower difference (hellcats run about 620 wheel horsepower). From a dig the taurus would out accelerate a hellcat due to the awd and much higher torque number, with superior aerodynamics to a hellcat, taurus drag coefficient is .29, hellcat is far higher at .38 which the lower number the better, the taurus could likely keep ahead.

Inspidship no I’m implying that he rebadged his car to more average level, sleeper style. Just your regular average Taurus. I badged my supercharged Bonnie the same way pulled off the “SSEI supercharged” badges on it and stuck the base model “se” badges on it.

You know the 3.5 EcoBoost is a really good motor, for what it is. From what I hear from the dealership and people who work on them the people who have a lot of problems are people driving them like grandmas and building up carbon and not running it hard enough to keep everything clean internally. It's really like a diesel with spark plugs, even sounds like a diesel.

Hate Ford, personally, but I just did the timing chain and water pump on 2014 SHO recently and I must say it is a nice motor.... Cant lie there. Had about 110k miles and everything inside looked brand new. No wear at all on camshaft lobes, no varnish, nothin. Looked like it has bucket lifters as well which I personally prefer. It's a shame it's transversely mounted tho. And it certainly does NOT sound like a diesel. Lot of loud clicking from HP fuel pump. Also if you're the average driver who never checks fluids and your water pump gasket starts leaking your engine is TOAST. Leaks straight into the oil pan

I currently have a 2013 Taurus SEL I only added a K&N cold air intake and put on a more free flow exhaust and Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors in the front. Yeah those Powerstop rotors are good but after a few hard runs I've notice they can be a pain and not allow me to stop as good, to me they beat stock.
And sel is the exact same car almost right ? Bc I have a taurus just not a sho and it don't have any badge but a taurus

First i'd check under the hood... the SHO is the only one with the turbo engine
Every non badged Taurus ive seen were the SE but most of them were for our unmarked units so It is hard to say for sure. as for the SEL, Ford has seemed to want to flash that around due tot eh addons people normally get. It looks cool to SHOw you have a low end trim car but its loaded.
all Taurus' have the same interior size so, someone can very easily run some extra wires and purchase extra things to have SYNC 3 system in a car that cam stock with SYNC 1.
---The only reason I would ever de-badge my car would be if I had the top trim level and I wanted to surprise people who thinks I have the lowest trim level.

I have a 2018 Taurus it has no badges whatsoever and I don't know much about the car I guess I could read the owners manual lol but definitely wanting to mod the car mines black too I think its just the basic of basic Taurus model. Your car is insane!!! 647torques. Wow. So I have a 2016 explorer sport that over tuned with gearhead tunes with about 450 how and torque. You mentioned your entire drivetrain is stock; given my modest power increase, my drivetrain ought to hold up just fine right? I've also changed all fluids including PTU. thanks

If you stop E30, couldn't you turn the methanol up for aux fueling? I run 91 pump gas, 70/30 meth/water mix, intake, and a tune making 450hp/520tq. Recently had to put it back to stock tune without methanol due to MAP sensor failing, and the methanol helps A LOT. Not sure cost wise how it compares to ethanol, though.

Ball park how much do you think this costs? Just factoring parts (and labor if you didn’t the mods yourself) but not maintenance. I kinda wanna make my way to this with my sho but am debating on if I wanna go through with it or if I want to just get a mustang and turn that into a dedicated dragger.

This is badass. I just bought a 14 pp. Although I can't help but wonder if fixing up my magnum RT AWD would be better. Throw a blower on it and I'm at at least 450whp ... seems like I'd have to do quite a bit to get the same outta the sho.

So since this is almost 2 years old have you broken anything yet? How much is it making now and what does it run in the quarter?
So 9 months later did something break? I got about 130k on my 2013 EX sport and I want to keep throwing power at it. Its got about 420hp (estimate) now with Livernois tune and it pushes up to 15 psi on new oem turbos
Also do you notice the torque converter slip at all? On my 2-3 shift there is no delay however the RPMs drop after it engages the shift about 200-300 rpms and will flare if on throttle

It's more of a "when we get around to do" type deal. So yes do I have a motor, technically. However, not in my possession and no clue on what I want to do to the motor. It's all about how much it's going to cost. Probably rotating assembly
I bought a 2015 Sho 365hp, put a chip in it now have 430hp to the Rear...You show can feel that xtra hp..fixing to turn it up a little hope to get it up to 460hp..

There is no chip. Only a computer tune. Best tunes out there worth 45 to 70 hp with 3 bar, 93 octane and sp542 @.028.....chips thing of the past. Also gives substantial tq increase more then the hp. Best is AJPTURBO OR GEARHEAD. Avoid livernois....not like they used to be...
I Have a Chip yur Car...(chip) 60hp and Cold-air-Intake system....+22hp...The car launches Strong..like a G-forch..in the first 4 gears..and Yes it is Awd..no spinning..Just Yonder..It is the fastest v6 I have road in.
Top speed 142mph...It is fast..but it is my Wifes car..i try to stay out of it...i have a 2015 Hundai Sonata with a Throddle Body Spacer in it and it Runs good for a 4 cylinder.. But it is a Hybrid..also have 2011 F-150 and have one in it too..

A couple questions.. where do you find e30 fuel ? I have used all types of fuel up and down the east coast, and never seen e30. More importantly, what's the simple fix for the boost cut issue. Whenever my lincoln gets to the top of second gear, the engine lets out from too many seconds of overboost. As a side note, for a mostly stock ecoboost 3.5, how high do you value the cold plugs, cold thermostat and air intake upgrade. Thanks a bunch for any reply !
Thermostat 170 good if tuned, debatable if needed. If racing lean towards yes, if a DD then probably not, and if in the North stock with get better mpg. Cold air intake is a sight mod, only the double CAI mskes a few hp, not worth 3-400 bucks,....dry synthetic panel filter is best bet for hp vs $....1-2 hp only, though feels like might be more responsive? Colder plugs only if get a tune. Newest plugs are the sp542 use with tune .026-.028 gap. Tunes are 150 bucks, tuner device to install start at 400...look on forum for sales for many cheaper parts, or whole cars ready to go to. Good luck. Best overall no hassle tune is the GEARHEAD AO TUNE. Great bang for the buck and not have to worry if you get a tank of 87 it auto corrects...take care be safe...love my FBO SHO. I know this video is 4 years old and not sure if you even own the car anymore BUT I'm going to take my chances, I just bought a 2011 SHO with 75,000kms (46,000 miles) changed every fluid and had the water pump leak tub and timing belt checked as best the dealership could all is a go, so here's the question what would you do as your first tune?? there are so many mechanic's with so many options, I run premium all the time and would like 75-100 hp and still be a usable everyday car

Oof 135,xxx hopefully you've gotten the water pump changed soon or recently. That's a couple grand bc its chain driven internal pump. Love the mods tho! I have a 2010 limited AWD wanting to do mods for it if any
Motor went before the water pump was even an inkling of an issue.
@@AutoRacingYT mine has the standard 3.5 nonturboed with 186,xxx only had to change the water pump when that blew out and only thing now would probably be a pulley but that's its original trans runs like a champ 🏆

You should have bought a 3.5 ecoboost interceptor, that’s what his is, yours isn’t the same.

so i see you have taken off that rubber tube for you bov, did you take off both tubes as there is one in the back? because i did this and i was getting oil coming out from where i took the tubes off and then my turbo's ended up failing costing me alot, i miss the bov but im not sure if thats what cause their failure, can you help me and tell me whats up?
Your turbo failed because it was failing not because you did the vta mod.

That looks like an absolute nightmare to work on …..anything not on top you have to take half the top of the car apart to get at half of the rest of the car
Why is fuel rail losing pressure with the upgraded hpfp and dw300? Why no 1700cc dw injectors?
Rail pressure dipping because hpfp can't keep up. Injectors would make no difference because oem have enough flow to max out the hpfp
Increase low side pressure and high side will increase as well.
I would love to talk to you at some point on the a smaller scale build. I want to get my sho to able 440 hp. Want are the best mods for this, that won't blow the motor.

A 2010 SHO should be able to get to 400HP off just a tune.

Its a 2010, different then 2013+...AJPTURBO or GEARHEAD tune, sp 542 @.028 plugs, thermostat if you want, 3 bar sensor, k&n dry panel filter...should put you at 400, reliable.....
