- Moldova made its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, placing sixth with its first ever entry, Bunica Bate Toba performed by Zdob și Zdub.
In total Moldova has appeared in the Grand Final on ten occasions and in 2017 SunStroke Project took the country to the top three in the Grand Final for the first time ever.
In 2010 Sergey Stepanov, also from the band SunStroke Project, became an internet phenomenon when his solo saxophone performance went viral, he became known as the Epic Sax Guy. - Zábava

Sadly, they're underrated quite a lot... With the exception of their non-qualified year entries of 2014 and 2016, they never fail to entertain and I love them all! I really hope they will win soon and bring the contest to Chișinău in 2020 :D
Chishinau doesn't have a stage for the contest, so it is impossible to bring the eurovision in Moldova, sadly

Moldova is so me, as a latino i feel represented. Like, they´re in theory under the shadow of Romania (in theory). Nobody expect anything of them at all, they´re so lazy confirming always last and the national final is un-smokable. But they always have a song, ONE SONG, that can break the damn night and end better than many others who hype all the time but then do nothing (like Armenia or Spain,saving the distance between them). I Love Moldova, they spend 3 euros in the stages and song but anyways make it work! So much having nothing, no one else in Eurovision can presume of that

It’s not about having a lot, it’s about doing a lot with so little. Look at Spain, RTVE is one of the largest and richest networks in Europe and yet they can’t manage to bring a quality act to the contest and they keep relying on boring ballads, see them send Noelia this year and get another 23rd place.
