Diablo 4 Patch 1.1 Rapid Fire Guide for Cold Build Rogue and Malignant Hearts

  • Updated guide for patch 1.1 for the cold rapid fire build for pushing nightmare dungeons. I also included a guide on an imbuement variation that can be used to farm high nightmare dungeons quickly, as tier100 is very easy right now. Also looked at some of the new malignant hearts for rapid fire rogues. Blizzard will be retuning nightmare dungeons soon so they are once again hard, and this build will be one of the best, possibly even the best, option for ranged rogues looking to push tier 100 nightmares.

    Amazing video, I'm definitely gonna be using this build for a long time, I was actually recommended to your channel from a friend and I'm thankful I was. I'm kinda new to this play style but I was wondering why you put points into Dark Shroud if you don't use it in your skill bar ?

      Hi I'm glad you're here! Ya I've been having a lot of fun using this build and hope you'll enjoy it as well. I put points into dark shroud because the aspect on the helmet automatically builds dark shroud shadows without it needing to be on the skill bar. Lucky hit: critical hit: 60 percent chance to gain a dark shroud shadow. I also put the points into the the dark shroud passive to give 8% more critical strike chance.

      @@klepter3865 I'm definitely enjoying my self, after switching to the build I'm killing everything and I love it, thanks again for making videos like this and putting your own time into videos like this to help people! I'll have to figure it out because when I look at the skill tree it looks like you have 12 points into that skill (Dark Shroud) not sure where to put my points before equipping gear that compliments it?

      @@ItsKingxr Hey that's great that the build is working for you! For dark shroud, I had 4 extra points from the pants and 3 extra points from the amulet (+3 subterfuge skills). If you're not using the dark shroud items it could be worth moving the points to siphoning strikes (3 points), concussive (3 points), trick attacks (1 point, to proc concussive). I actually have switched to using siphoning strikes again instead of the 3 points in rugged as I've found it still helps even after the nerf.

      I have to agree, I almost shit my pants while bursting my eardrums on those unexpected ads 😂
      Awesome build though man, the last like 12 hours I’ve come around to cold imbue. I’ve only started d4 like 2 weeks ago, but I’m having a lot of fun on rogue. I’ve been running flurry/rapid fire for single target. And I had shadow imbue but I was dying too much so I switched to cold to freeze them. I think I’m good now and might switch back to shadow for the mob burst. But these nade builds look sick

    What is the reasoning behind not using bow? You said something about being energy starved? How does that happen? Isn't bow at 40% range better than 15 vuln?

    • @klepter3865
      @klepter3865  Před rokem +1

      I was trying the bow with only forceful arrow since it would be quicker to build combo points, at a similar rate as using puncture, but I would run out of energy since forceful arrow doesn't regen energy like puncture does from the enhanced puncture. The bow would also do less damage for rapid fires since it has lower weapon damage than a crossbow, so there wouldn't be a point to using it if using puncture. A bow could be great for lucky hit builds due to it's high attack speed, but it wasn't good for combo point rapid fire builds like this one.

    From what i've heard, it seems that when The Barb Heart procs, you can't proc any lucky hits in its duration.
    If this is true, then it's not worth to run any lucky hit dependant aspects (Umbrous) together with The Barb.

    • @klepter3865
      @klepter3865  Před rokem +1

      Oh that's actually a big deal if that's true, it might not even be worth using the barb. Otherwise you could just run something like the cheat's aspect instead of umbrous, and just stand still for 3 seconds after a fight for enshrouding to refill any dark shrouds that were lost.

    • @Benoitbolz
      @Benoitbolz Před rokem

      Many thanks for the great content, huge improvement to my d4 experience! I wonder if it may be worth it to replace Forceful Arrow with Dark Shroud so you don’t need Umbrous and can keep using the Barber for pushing (provided they don’t nerf it, which they probably really should). The damage is just nuts and a lot of the dungeons have bosses so no freezing/cc. Pre season the mob damage in 90+ was insane and I don’t see any way to have fun without reliable access to Dark Shroud. Standing still for 15 seconds before every encounter is not fun either and no way to refresh mid fight…

      @@Benoitbolz I'm glad you like the content! Cold builds are fun to play. That's a good idea for running the dark shroud skill, can maybe do some skill swapping between fights based on if I think I'll use forceful or not. It's a tough call between barber and umbrous so we'll have to see the different workarounds for it. I haven't used the barber much this patch as I personally don't find the gem fun, but using the dark shroud skill might be the way to go if it is used.

    • @Benoitbolz
      @Benoitbolz Před rokem

      @klepter3865 thanks for the reply, not using the barber either, apothecary is way more fun :) Just wondering about boss fights in high NM, I feel some of them may be tough with this build and barber might help since there’s stealth to apply vulnerable…

    • @klepter3865
      @klepter3865  Před rokem

      @@Benoitbolz Some of the boss fights are tough this patch especially since siphoning strikes isn't good anymore. Luckily the nightmare dungeons aren't that hard right now but if they change the scaling on them then you might have to do some sort of stealth healing if the barber is used, or to not use the barber and perhaps slot in the lucky hit to drop potions to give us some healing.

    at 0:23 you mentioned they mentioned that it'll be re-tuned soon, do you have a source?
    From my understanding they wanted to move the challenging content to another mode for S3, and that nightmare dungeons were not intended for that goal as they mentioned on their livestream.

    • @klepter3865
      @klepter3865  Před rokem

      I can't find the specific source, but I recently read that they might revisit the nightmare tuning when they do the mob density changes in 1.1.1. I hope that wasn't just a misunderstanding. Their recent campfire did mention about adding that other challenging content to replace nightmare dungeons in S3 as the endgame. Either way I bet players will start pushing blizzard to increase the difficulty of the current nightmare dungeons once more players reach the endgame and see just how easy it is.

    • @LarsGuerra
      @LarsGuerra Před rokem

      @@klepter3865 Well at least now they'll be able to gather more accurate data on how each build is either over-performing or under performing under certain higher tiered dungeons. Most meta builds can trivialize current content, will interesting to see what these observations or changes this will lead to in the new mode in S3 as some skills are too far behind.

    Is Frostburn Gloves still good? How about frost feeder glyph?

    • @klepter3865
      @klepter3865  Před rokem

      The frostburn gloves might become better if they increase the mob density in nightmare dungeons as they are discussing. They are nice to apply freezes when cold imbuement is on cd. I'm planning on usually using gloves with frostbitten this season as our burst damage will be higher than last season, with the smoke grenade buff and hearts. The ranks of rapid fire and crit damage will help with that but I'm still looking at sometimes using frostburn. I used frost feeder all of last season, I switched it to ranger in the paragon board to help prevent getting 1 shot by things like teleporter once they make nightmare dungeons harder, with the nerfs to armor and damage reduction.

      do you think vulnerable dmg and crit dmg are still better than core skill dmg for our rf build this sesaon?

    • @klepter3865
      @klepter3865  Před rokem

      @@JAE-yq3bz Ya that nightmare nerf destroyed the only endgame this game had. For some reason that nerf made people less mad at blizzard after they thought 1.1 had nerfed their builds, but it was not good for the longterm. Now literally anyone can do tier100 and beat the endgame before they even finished levelling. I still think vulnerable damage and crit damage are a bit better than core skill for this season, since with this build we have a bunch of effects from that first damage bucket that activate when the mobs are frozen. On the planner it looks like we have around 530% damage from the first bucket against frozen enemies.
