Welcome to ’STARCRX on Dr. Martens’. Think of it like Ted Talks about my obsessions. ’STARCRX on Dr. Martens’ could then be called DOC TALKS I guess lol. I've always done take the lace that goes toward your other boot and put that to the first eyelet and then use the other lace for the rest. As much as I love doing it that way my laces are just way too damn long (which can look cool) and I like it but this seems to be way more efficient and make the laces shorter. Thank you for the tutorial!!!

It's really hard to see what your doing from that distance..the yellow laces and color of the boots is hard to see.

It is indeed a trade off, but out of all the ways to straight lace this way is the easiest in my experience to tighten. All the best!
