I feel like red could have been a cool colour for socialist circles in the UK or even just labour supporters but unfortunately not. A lot of the protests in the UK following on from the BLM protests also mean that blue is a bit sketchy to wear as some see it as ACAB, some see it as admittance to being a cop killer. If you like colours, I'd just go with some multi-coloured laces.
