I deeply miss the GW Bush and Obama years tbh. Really! They were our nation's presidents throughout my childhood/youth and things were not as chaotic back then unlike today. Agree. The U.S. Supreme Court is not supposed to write new law, but interprets the law. Congress is the Legislative branch of our government. There is no precedent for this case and nothing in the Constitution that even hints that a POTUS can commit crimes with impunity.

@cappyjones, That's why SCOTUS might not make a "yes" or "no" decision, and, instead, may decide that prosecution depends on whether or not the alleged crime was within the scope of the president's duties or for personal gain. Seems to me that would require a judge & jury, but Idk. Trump argues that anything the president does is immune from prosecution. I don't think even this Supreme Court's going to buy that, what use would they be to a president who could do whatever he wanted without accountability?

The bigger issue here is they have crossed a point of no return. It is now okay for political persecution against an opposing presidential candidate. There is not a single adult in the country that it cannot be proven they broke some sort of law once. Parties in power can now use the justice system to attack them. No, they're protesting about 34,000+ dead Palestinians, mostly innocent civilians... including babies, children, and parents...
and they're protesting against our US government continually sending military aid to Israel/Netanyahu/the IDF, to further commit such atrocities...regardless of the horrible events that occurred on October 7, 2023, in Israel, in which the terrorist group, Hamas, killed 1,160 innocent concert attendees, and in which 253 innocent Israelis were taken hostage.
@bellagirlgirl8827, Students protested the Vietnam War mostly bc they wanted to end the draft so they wouldn't have to go to Nam & fight. Some protested on moral grounds like they are now, but mostly it was about the draft.

What does ALTERED or SYNTHETIC mean for Nightly News ? I noticed sever times that stories in the opener are not included in the show. Look at the time length of these episodes and sometimes there is 12 minutes missing. They are now having 12 min of commercials ? Why is CZcams not broadcasting entire episodes without ads. Something is troubling that we are not seeing the entire stories. I will watch a different network evening news now.

@joehigashi3584 - There was plenty of provocation on behalf of Iran. After all, Iran has been arming both Hamas and Hezbollah for decades, and that in itself is more than enough provocation for Israel to respond.

That is, Israel is aware of the fact that Hamas receives funding from Iran and Qatar, but Israel also knows that, since Hamas controls the Gaza Strip, it is Hamas' responsibility to provide basic services for the people of the Gaza Strip, and that requires a lot of funding. Unfortunately, though, by allowing Hamas to receive financial aid, Israel was also permitting Hamas to be able to build their tunnels and arm their militants. Consequently, I was not being hypocritical when I posted my previous comment, so don't accuse me of such.
