People call Snow a poser but he grew up in a Toronto housing project where most all of the other residents were Jamaican immigrants who organically influenced his cultural upbringing. He was surrounded by Jamaican people, music, slang, and accents growing up. And he also spent time in prison early in his career. The stuff he raps about isn't bullshit, it really happened. Snow may be a white, nerdy-looking Canadian dude but his music genuinely reflects his actual life experience.

I read the lyrics of Informer and its not really a "cop-hatin" track. More about how he refused to rat out a friend after they did smth stupid and how he went to prison instead of him. Apparently this is a true story and earned him lots of respect in the hood.

Man what a great show In Living Color was. Grew up through teen years watching this. Every Monday morning me and friends would talk about this show and Married with Children. GOOD STUFF! Unfortunately those shows prob wouldn't survive in today's culture. Such a shame. Classic!
