@@garydmercer Television makes fun of heterosexual males all the time... they even do it TODAY and more frequently than before, a great example would be the futurama snu snu scene, it portraits straight guys as simple minded, sex obsesed and disposable. And EVERYBODY agrees that IT IS a great joke, even the series MAIN DEMOGRAPHIC.
The joke itself (this one)is not even that offensive, it just portraits them in a flamboyant way.
@@garydmercer ok boomer.
It's called "comedy". Get over it or go cry to your sugar daddy.
No it’s homophobic but that’s ok. It’s just a skit.
I wouldn't read too much into the meaning of the skit.
The show did all kinds of over the top characterizations and stereotypes.
Even if it was unflattering, it was done for comedy's sake, not hatred.
Oh how ground breaking! This is pure comedy gold!
Wow what a great combo of actors 😮 Jim Carrey, Jamie Fox and Marlon Wayans😮
what also makes me laugh is the setting. Just look at that background, it's hilarious.
This show was classic and groundbreaking! This sketch was hysterical! They don't make them like this anymore. We'll never see fantastic TV like this ever again! The 90s was the last great decade. Thanks for posting this!
About as funny as SNL skits.
so what youre saying is any decade in the future wont be great.
what about technology of today, let alone of the future?
i doubt 1990 would match 2400 (if global warming is taken care of)
@@centralprocessingunit4988 Wow! You totally misunderstood my statement. Being "politically correct" has killed modern-day humor. I love living in the 21st century, but TV comedy shows in the 90's were incredibly funny. You have to be streaming nowadays to get good current comedy shows
I like the way you wear your uniform. Who! 😂😂😂. The audience makes it funnier.
Great show & to hilarious, miss it
Back when people didn't get easily offended.
ESDfilms I say this all the time // and it’s only going to get worse
Kwasi Baako that’s right
You misspelled "no one gave a sh!t if someone was offended".
ESDfilms I'm gay and it was funny lol
ESDfilms I know, right?!... Smfh
Good show, all my favorite guys as a kid in one gay room 😆😘
What's this called
@@fgrizzard6204 "In Living Color" it's similar to Madtv, and the more popular Saturday Night Live. 🤔
What a Time to be alive. This was such a great era for comedy and hip-hop.
Grew up on this show, aaah the memories
I remember I went into the Navy in 1993 right after they passed the "don't ask don't tell" policy... My drill instructor walks up to me and says "are you part of Clinton's new Navy?" I tell sir no sir and he replies I don't believe you!!!! Lol... Still makes me laugh to this day
@
Yes they did
@ they do have drill sergeants
@@63586jonathan The Navy doesn't have "Seargants." That's not even a Navy rank. Drill instructors in Navy bootcamp are called RDCs. Stands for "Recruit Devision Commander." I went through Navy bootcamp in 1999. But they are still considered drills. So the term drill instructor is reasonable.
NAVY RDC - RECRUIT DIVISION COMMANDER. AIR FORCE MTI- MILITARY TRAINING INSTRUCTOR, ARMY DS- DRILL SERGEANT, MARINE CORPS DI - DRILL INSTRUCTOR, COAST GUARD COMPANY COMMANDER. SPACE FORCE TI- TRANNING INSTRUCTOR.
The NAVY has RDC - Recruit Division Commander . The MARINE CORPS has DI - Drill Instructor. A Marine Corps Drill Instructor may be assigned to NAVY Recruits during OCS- Officers Candidate School at Anapolis in Maryland seince the Marines go through the Naval Academy. They may use Marine Corps Drill Instructor's to train Navy Cadets .
I just love Jim carrey's face😂😂😂😂 in everything he does
Funny shit! Miss this show. Thanks for sharing.
What a time to be alive. We could all laugh at each other no matter what.
1:06 - You can tell he was trying not to say "steers and queers" 😅
This was amazing! It's great that some of those cast members blew up big. Jim Carrey, Jamie Fox & the Wayan dude ended up having their own shows, comedy careers and even box office movies.
So did David Alan Grier
This show was the launch of many careers. Great platform and was so funny.
Lol, dem Wayan dudes are incredibly rich😂😂😂
Jamie Foxx is an action star now
That show was so funny!
Foxx didn't know the steps
Hamza Faison I was gonna' say the same thing. He didn't feel comfortable even if it was acting
107uptown its live I guess cause that could have been edited and do over
how could you all say Jamie wasn't feeling this role? This is the same guy who played Wanda on the same show...LOL
Carlos Mack LOL. I was thinking the same thing. What the hell are they talking about? Foxx not only played Wanda, he played Little Richard and a flamboyant Prince.
@107UPTOWN CAN YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO US FOR SAYING HE DIDNT KNOW THE STEPS,,ITS 2017 MAN, YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO JUDGE AND CRITICIZE A STRUGGLING ACTOR TRYING TO MAKE IT IN THIS BUSINESS
It must be so hard to act beside Jim. Haha he steal it all and does it so well!
Absolutely hilarious, what a great throwback
You can't do this skit today! Show was ahead of it's time and Marlon had me in tears 😭😭😭
Uh, no. It was very OF it's time.
@@CaptainSensibleIII People say "ahead of its time" way too much. Your comment is exactly what I always say.
