      @@TropicalRambutan why is what I wear of any concern to you? Why is body image so important? Why can’t we just wear what we want? It was SUPER windy this day and that’s what I chose to wear. Not sure why I have to show more of my body?! Society is so demanding….

    OMG. I feel so inferior!!! When Lissa said her variety in ONE week is 83 different raw vegetables, I almost fell off my chair. I hate to admit it, but I absolutely know, we only eat probably 7 different raw vegetables a week. I need to start upping my game and also include foods that I would never think of eating raw. Great video.

    Great video John and Alissa! I’ve recently started incorporating a prebiotic powder made of green banana and baobab powder into my daily regime and it’s working out well! So vital to feed of microbes!

    I hate those sun chokes before and didn't know the name. A friend gave them to me from her garden. They taste amazing, salty

    A good way to eat jicama is to slice it, sprinkle it with chili powder and drizzle lime over it.

    I have Sunchokes. I love them. I lave 2 large beds. Mine are organic. I tried Yacon.. I am allergic to Jicama...

    Your soil is beautiful. I think when the sunchokes are so small, you should leave them in the ground. Some of the ones Lissa picked were too small. There are usually big ones if you just feel around.

      Depends on your climate. The sunchokes in California I grow are alot larger than the Mohave desert grown ones, that don't get so big due to the stress.

    John mentions garlic as being good for gut microbiome. Garlic is called nature's antibiotic. So if it kills bacteria how can it be good for our intestinal flora? (I love garlic and hope it IS good for our gut flora but am confused.)

    In the 80s, when I created my first 100% Organic Garden, I planted Sunchokes.
    The seed catalog said 1 pound of Sunchokes would grow into 7 pounds of Sunchokes. WOW!
    What a great profit from an easy to grow veggie!
    Well, I planted my 1# of Sunchokes and they grew neat poles and pretty flowers..... BUT!
    The Sunchokes DID NOT MAKE 7#. NO!
    My Sunchokes produced 50# of WEIGHED CHOKES!!
    For a home garden, that was terrific.
    For a veggie going to market, that was a HUGE PROFIT!!
    PLUS!!! The Sunchokes at the grocery were puny and not robust...... the skin was dry.
    My BIODYNAMIC SUNCHOKES were literally hand size... like a BASEBALL, and the skin was thin, edible, and juicy.
    We ate the Chokes RAW from the ground and they were delicious.
    When I boiled the Chokes they were so soft, fluffy and like Mega Mashed Potatoes but creamier and softer and way, way more flavorful.
    We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunchokes we grew and they soon became a favorite veggie and replaced the potatoes.
    I used 100% ORGANIC compost to amend my soil.
    My Luffa gourds that were supposed to make 7'-10' vines made 150' vines up on the phone poles and electric and cable lines and 50" monster sized gourds filled with gorgeous, energized seeds.
    Oh yes, 100% ORGANIC compost was all I used, and my garden was planted by the RUDOLF STEINER BIO-DYNAMIC AGRICULTURE METHOD. IT WORKS!!

      We have lots of jicama in my tropical country we at them raw as fruits salad with brown palm sugar chilie

    John, you are wasting so much of the Jicuma and yacon with your method of peeling. If you use a veggie peeler, it will finely shave off the outside and leave much
    more of the usable portion of the veggies. Hopefully you will learn to use the veggie peeler to show all your fans (me included) how to peel with minimum waste.
