Robbo is captain for national team, Endo caption for national team, Salah captain for national team, Szobo captain for national team⊠none of the show more leadership qualities. Darwin Nunez's goal scoring prowess or lack thereof is not the problem.It's the supply chain from midfield that's the cause of his lack of goals.The Reds need an attacking midfielder with vision and good reading of the game who is able to make penetrative killer pass that makes the difference.The scouts and recruitment team need to be aware of this.

Darwin wonât be sold, if he is itâs ridiculous. His numbers are still very good this season, he contributes to team goals and scores his own, the chances he misses can easily be corrected with practice and more confidence.. maybe the new manager will be able to make him more composed in one v one chances
I keep saying bring Romario in as a coach and Darwin will be the next Golden Boot. Romario can also spend some quality time with the rest of our attackers, who are nothing but composed.

Letâs be honest the tactics from Klopp this year have been crap. I understand Trent playing the midfield going forward last year was needed cause the mid last season was crap but never should have continued this year. In fact I think, it should have been Trent and Macca attacking mids and should have had an actual RB that could defend. Trent playing mid going forward left Konate or Quansah exposed for counters with no protection. Every team went down that side and Klopp was stubborn to change. Love Klopp but this tactic failed. Also Nunez is best on the wing and not central cause he doesnât need to over think shots out wide when the shot is usually across goal. Playing central has lots of options on how to finish which I think makes Nunez nervous and bottles shots. Definitely need a better spine with an actual CF, a defensive midfielder and a great CB.

In a 433, Nunez is better on the wing. But to be honest, he doesn't suit a 433. He needs to play off the last man, with creativity through the middle. Klopp has 1 style and plan, and it's heavy metal. Doesn't work anymore, and why do we have fullbacks providing creativity, midfield doing the defense's job, etc? We need to control games and keep clean sheets, and not get turned over a million times each game. Yet, our board has decided to bring in Slot, who plays like Klopp. Very uninspiring and not exciting for a fan watching games.
Defensively, u re correct. I think Klopp is relying on the counterpress to stop those balls into the channel. Offensively is A different issue. Tactics gets u into good situations and then its up to the players. Even Pep has said this. Once u re in the final 3rd, it's up to ur players
Darwin has scored the same amount of goals as Mane did in his first two seasons and no one was saying get rid of him
If mane had the amount of chances that Darwin had, he would have scored 3 x the amount of goals. Mane didn't have number 8's that can create down the middle like Darwin has.. Those days everything was created wide by Trent and Robertson or Firmino laying it off.. The midfielders created nothing.

Definitely. Mane and Salah's pace made teams sit back. The only player with pace now is Nunez and he can't score. So teams step up and press us cos they dont fear the ball in behind.

I'm disappointed with the recent results but ffs we've been brilliant for most of the season. If someone asked me at the beginning of the season where would Liverpool be at the end of the season especially after the season before I wouldve said top 5. So us challenging for the title for most of the season was great.
Absolutely. Especially considering that we didn't buy enough players. Defense is depleted. Midfield is too young. The only experienced midfielders dont have the experience at this level. The forwards are a mix bag. I think Klopp tried this season. We will miss him when he leaves and Slot is struggling.
Something to remember with Nunez, his goal contributions this season compared to last is nearly double, yes the chances he misses are unacceptable but remember heâs not a klopp type striker, firmino was an all rounder and i think under slot if he plays with a typical no9 that could suit Nunez as he looks confused and just needs to focus on being the striker he was at benfica as that showed the talent is there, the kid can finish just needs the confidence that coming in and out of the side doesnât help with

Salah loses possession far to much for me and I've thought it for 7 years
Exactly. There is nothing Salah is doing now that he hasn't always done. Wasteful in possession, missing chances, and ghosting in games. The difference is that the quality of the team has dipped. Hence those assists he used to rack up are gone. His pace has dipped and he isn't getting as much chances as he used to. I remember watching games a few seasons ago where Salah would get 4 clear chances and score 2. We rave about the 2 goals but forget the clear chances he missed. Now he is getting 1 or 2 and missing them.
They all haven't performed well since getting hammered 3-0 by atalanta at anfield. I've never been so frustrated watching the team lose ever duel going
I feel sorry for Klopp regarding his players letting him down. Ive stated this previously on other Anfield pages. He does not deserve this way to leave, the players have failed him miserably. And for that I am gutted for him. The last home game at Wolves, is going to be disastrous , if the players do NOT show up, Wolves will be very aware of this , please fight for this final farewell as this will be his last official game. Emotions will be high but get the job done for the boss & the fans paying over the odds for the last Klopp's game, they deserve so much more!!!

I agree about falling out with FSG. Completely disagree with the player selection. Who should be play? Defense pretty much selects itself based on availability. Midfield is just not good enough. U think he's stupid to have good players on the bench? Forward line pretty much picks itself too. Someone is always injured. Blame the owners that never gives him the tools he needs. I simply donât understand why are we even talking about the midfield. Our defence needs to be sorted out, our strikers canât strike. That is the problem. The midfield would be a problem if there were no service for the strikers but we keep talking about Darwin alone missing 30+ big chanses (created by the midfield) so that is surely not the (biggest) issue here. Letâs just leave Macca / Sobo/ Endo / Jones / Elliot alone as long as they create the 30+ big chanses for Darwin & Co. to missâŠ
The midfield is definitely trying. The only problem they have is that they aren't as good at counterpressing and the previous midfield was. They loose a lot of one on one battles and give away lots of freekicks. The defense is definitely a mess and the forwards are a joke.

Dear Craig, I appreciate a lot of what you say, but however disappointed I am at the moment, I have come to my senses about the next coming games. I would like you to do us all a favour and start encouraging everyone to do the very best we can for the next games. Mr Klopp and the rest of us needs to stop thinking that Man City and Arsenal have their games in the bag. If this is the most challenging league in the world then every team is capable of beating the Man Cities of this world and therefore we should hope that the results will come our way. When will people realise, that his poor finishing is a result of his subpar technique, or in other words TALENT on the ball.
He has superb athletic abilities and admittedly fairly good positioning, but they are ultimately worthless, if his technical boundaries do not allow for him to score frequently.

Midfield is inexperienced. Endo and Mac Allister are older but dont have the experience or physical imposition at this level. So many gaping holes in the team thay fans ignored bcos of how well the team started. To be honest, I think Klopp has worked a pretty good miracle with this squad. Yall will see that next season

The witch-hunt against VVD is bang out of order and totally wrong on facts. He has been outstanding this season and until the wheels fell off over the past few weeks, everyone was praising his leadership as well as his playing form. Re the comparisons with Hendo, the comments are laughable. Hendo was the captain when we made the worst title defence in history. He was also the captain last year when we were crap. In both those seasons we saw many games like those of the past few weeks where we lacked energy, fight and organisation, so claims that Hendo was some super captain and VVD is not up for the job, if based on those comparisons, are total BS.
Some of our current problems are obvious and clear and have been there a long time e.g. (1) Robbo and TAA canât defend and in particular are very poor in the air (which is why Everton made damn sure their high balls evaded VvD and went wider to the FB positions), Bradley is a big improvement defensively, Tsimikas is even worse than Robbo. (2) we have got a very big issue with Darwin, and I see zero evidence that he has spent time and effort on his technique and decision making. (3) the only of the players who have returned from injury to make a positive contribution have been TAA and Ali (and to a lesser extent, Robbo). Jones, Szobo and Jota have all been terrible, and we should have reverted back to the other players well before the Palace and Everton disasters.

Strikers miss chances, Haaland missed more than Darwin this season. Darwin hit the post a lot, if heâs lucky and they drop in itâs a different story. Heâs better on the left wing
Our defence has been dodgy since we started playing with this rubbish inverted right back idea and CB have been left to cover itâs complete rubbish and itâs all stemmed from TAA canât defend and he gets a pass because heâs such a great passer and free kick, so I just hope we go back to a traditional right back that can defend
Unless VVD leaves, he's going to continue as captain. No point yapping about it. The bigger issue is our style of play, and we've gone out and appointed someone who plays exactly like Klopp. We'll continue to be volatile, get turned over too many times each game and be erratic with this gung ho style. If you want to know why Unai Emery didn't work at Arsenal it was because
1. He couldn't connect with the fans
2. His signings were poor
3. He didn't get rid of the big ego's
4. The football got worse as his reign went on
5. He bottled top 4 to prioritize the Europa League but got battered by Chelsea in the final anyway
6. Change at the club, Edu was hired in 2019 shortly after the Kroenke's took over Arsenal. Then Emery started terribly his next season and the club chose to look in a different direction after seeing the club and fans had completely disconnected, they then chose to look at a more inexperienced, young manager, who played for the club, has an influence and would prioritize connecting the fans to the players.
Emery was bad at Arsenal, in his first few months he was incredible but like Villa this season very quickly it wore off and his team was back to being inconsistent. That's why he works at mid-table teams, his teams can't challenge for a title because they aren't consistent enough
