Learning on an Epiphone SG will enable any beginner to move onto a 24 fret Superstrat with ease :-)

I watched this a year ago and ended up buying one of these I can honestly say after owning it for a year I completely agree I have been playing for 20+ years at this point and I have probably put more hours jamming on my sg than any other guitar I own the best value of any currently mass produced guitar

i bought an epiphone sg in 2008. it was 220€ (adjusted to inflation thats 295€ in todays money) and comparing it to newer epis its quality and playability wise the same guitar. doesnt have binding and the veneer, but actualy wood grain and a rosewood fretboard. i just feel like their price increase is not justified at all and you can get even better value at other mass produce brands.... ibanez for example. epiphone just redesigned their headstock and did a major online marketing campeign and ended up raisign the price by 50%. are they trying to insult the consumers?

Totally agree, been playing for years and never had one until a few months ago. I totally love it’s feel and sound and it’s becoming my favorite guitar. I have the 61 maestro.

Just picked up a 2019 Epiphone SG Pro Limited Custom Shop with hard shell case, on Reverb. Coming this week. Can't wait. As well as the seller talkin' up this guitar. I have watched allot of CZcams vids and read reviews about this Epi. All were very positive ! Epiphone is not the Epiphone of years past. Its about time they came into their own AGAIN !

It is a great playing guitar after I re-leveled the frets and adjusted the relief to .008 " and re-adjusted the action and nut and pick-up heights. It now plays as good as or better than any 2500-dollar Gibson badged SG.

Was kinda on the fence about getting a guitar until recently, then I saw this and knew I had to finally buy an sg!

So confused by the multitude of SGs. This one is cheaper than all the others but it seems better?
It’s not on sweet water , did they discontinue?

Not a bad guitar. It plays nice and it sounds good. However, the tuners are a bit cheapish feeling. Some of them has 'dead zones in which i can turn all i want without it is actually winding. Also one of the volume-knobs keeps falling off

Man epiphone just takes the cake...
A guitar to go everywhere with without the worry of lugging a gibson that it gets stolen or break a nekk. Tchaaa!

Why do some have fret binding and some don't? I just got one coming from Japan and it does have the fret binding. I am sure there is some boring explanation and I am all ears! Thank you for this video.

I have the 1966 edition G400 pro and the newest year had binding. Same guitar a couple of years prior had no binding.

the bat wing and yours are totally different modelsi had your mode and parted ways for the new 2021 with the batwing and it was night and day, ok so lets here you play that beast now , also you can afford a gibson you just have to put one on payments with a music store.. pretty simple really, and lots of stores have financing options .. how ever that being said i own a 2018 gibson les paul studio in smoke house burst and its great but the sg is also a great guitar but the standard sg i just got thats made by epiphone is better then the sg pro way way better and it was only 659.00 Canadian

Just snagged a like new copy of the SG Pro and a Epiphone PR 5E acoustic electric for $150 for both. Thank god for sellers who are ignorant of what they own.
