1000h on a video game , nice , your life must be fulfilled, I've spent 3h in total on the new update, don't like it ,game's too slow, one main mission can take up to 45min to 1h , had enough, no wonder I don't play games anymore, now I'm off to the gym.

Idk if I got 1000 hours because I lost my first save file from 6 years ago, but it’s probably getting close now. Twice through NG+. The writing and world building is unparalleled!
I absolutely love the narration of this video by Rob. He does such a great job of matching the energy of the game and the video.
I just revisited the Witcher for a couple of minutes (my backlog is sick), but what strikes me is the importance of music. Witcher 3 comes alive for a part because of the music.

It's mad how just hearing a second's snippet of the music in the background as they talk, from any part of the world, just takes me immediately back to the days when I was playing it for the first time ❤️ the music captures the atmosphere they talk about so well

Played it all day yesterday on PS5. It looks SO much better than I expected. I'd say even slightly better looking than Elden Ring, and that game was beautiful. This isn't a small improvement, it really looks next gen now.
Personally I feel it blows Elden Ring out of the water. Elden Ring leads in combat but Witcher gives you a unique feeling. The update feels like a whole new game.
Played about 10 hours of this game last year and loved it- heard about the update and decided to wait and start afresh- buzzing to begin over the holidays!!
I did the same, bought it in a sale and loved what I played but I stopped when there were rumours of a PS5 update. Can’t wait to get back into it
Just looked up my PS 2022 Wrap Up and The Witcher 3 was, unsurprisingly, my most played game of the year with another (5th Playthrough!) whopping 202 hours clocked up so much as this is still very welcome I’m not quite ready to dive back into a 6th next-gen playthrough though I did download it and give myself a headache trying to port my old save file over. Ideally I’d like my eventual revisit to be a NG+ but I couldn’t even get the supposed cross-gen save to work despite booting both editions up so many times I could still see that CDPR sword logo burnt into my retinas last night …
… still very pretty and still an amazing game but Yenn can wait a little longer. Medallion is humming, though!

Totally going to give this game a sixth run after this update. The frame rate is so fluid, and sign casting is now streamlined.
The frame rate isn't fluid at all. I'm guessing you're talking about pc.

What are people's camera options? playing close camera for all or mixing it up?
I have to say after playing a few hours into the PS5 update it’s gorgeous, it’s atmospheric especially with the new camera angles. And the new quests. However I was on a road to platinum this game this year but trophies aren’t crossed over so I will have to platinum the PS4 version first and then go through this version slowly just to take everything in properly
I played for about 3-4 hours on PS5 yesterday with no issues at all, but today I had 5-6 crashes in 2 hours. Is there anyone else noticing the same problem?
Do you have to download a new version or is it just an update on the ps4 version
I originally thought that this upgrade was unnecessary, then I actually played the upgrade and was running around at the speed of light! That definitely turned my opinion around!
Yes and the fidelty mode is pretty good. I switched between performance and fidelity and both are smooth as butter. Great game.
Yeah, I played last night and was caught off guard how much better it looks. Thought it was only going to be a small improvement. But really looks next gen now. I can't believe they didn't charge money for this. lol

You can inport ps4 save files.
But the trophys wil not transfer.
But what if i load a ps4 file where i start a new game plus.
I am level 78 so how wil the trophy fore reaching level 50 pop ?
Do i just ad 50 more levels ore do trophys only pop when starting a fresh new game and not a new game plus.
The graphics options don't show up for me after the update?
I bought The Witcher 3 for PS4 quite a while back and have never got around to playing it. When I heard the PS5 version was coming, I was a bit annoyed with myself until I realised I could get a free upgrade. Now I can play the PS5 version for my first experience with it. I've still got a long line-up of other games on my priority list though, so no doubt, this time next year, I'll still be saying, 'I can't wait to play this game'.

This game should be your top priority, not the others! 7 years later and Iam still in love with it. I can confidently say that it's the best game I have ever played. Of course you might hold another one for your favorite, but anyway, what I am trying to say is PLAY IT!

CDPR could have just released a 60fps patch and nobody would complain, in fact, we would even thank them because it's an old title.
But going the extra mile and releasing this update, for free, is just phenomenal
My favorite PS4 game finally got an next-gen upgrade, don't know how many hours i've spent playing this game. Looks like another playthrough is on the card
Sorry if this is common knowledge but for anyone who isn't aware- you can get the update (with the new quest, new gear and new control options like quick sign casting) for free on PS4 too. Obviously the PS4 update doesn't look as good as PS5 but all the extra content is still there. Some people (including me) have had issues with the manual save function not working properly- seems the old settings file is messing this up. Best solution is to save all the saves you want to keep to the PS plus Cloud, delete all the saves off your hard drive, boot up the game which will create a new settings file compatible with Version 4 of the game, then go and download the old saves you want to keep from the Cloud.
Looks like I'm going to have to make room on my PS5 for this. It looks incredible.

Played this on PC back when it came out, Ultra settings, but 1080p. Which for monitors is fine. My rig is old though. 980ti old. So I figured I'd get this on my PS5, and gotta say it looks and run amazingly in Performance. Haven't noticed frame hitching yet. Quality looks amazing. The ray tracing really pops off in the early morning, and nighttime. The shadows especially are glorious. I just wish there was performance RT mode, along the lines of Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales. I'd gladly take a lower resolution if it meant getting 60fps with RT. I really need to upgrade my computer... 😂
I downloaded the update and was missing some of the new things like the camera 📷 for up close and the rendering modes Performance and Resolution had to buy the PS5 version for 29.99
So if I got this on disk for ps4 I can play it on my ps5 with updated graphics?

Firstly have a great christmas Access team and subscribers.Ray tracing still has a long way to go to really be optimal on consoles and by that i mean it needs to do RT at 60 fps so performance mode all the way. Playing it on an LG oled and it does look so much better.
hello, for those who play this game again.. wanna ask real quick are there any differences in term of his movement. is it still like the old ones whereas the stiffness of him when walking/running and turn around quickly feels so robotic?
It's hard to explain - you would really need to play it to see for yourself - but Geralt's movement feels considerably smoother. His robotic movement whas off-putting for me, but it's thoroughly fixed here.
Anyone else notice in the 60FPS mode, that there’s a lot of pop in models and textures? I’ve also been having a lot of frame drops too and a couple of crashes
Yep I’m hoping they fix it. It’s mainly in velen, when riding fast on roach, rocks on the paths appear late.
What issues do you have?

They did an awesome job but they did drop the ball on explaining how to do cross-gen/ platform save transfers. This has caused a lot of confusion for people like myself who wanted to begin a brand new game using their PS4 NG+ save.
I have finished the game 2 times, once on PC in 2016 and then on PS4 in 2021. Downloaded it on PS5 the third time. Absolute gem of a game
It took me many weeks to play the 1st time years ago and just started again! Feels so fresh and looks amazing and runs smooth even on an OG GTX 1080@60fps. THe GOAT IMO
A question for those who played it already : how is the dualsense support ? Maybe a reason to prefer the ps5 version over the xbox series s one ?

Had a rocky start, my xbox series s predownaloded it, downloaded it on my ps5 not long after midnight but downloaded the wrong one, when i get home tomorrow morning ima play all day

I don't have time to replay the Witcher 3 right now but this video has at least convinced me to at least potter about in its world some and take in the glorious updated visuals and framerate!
My favorite NPC dialogue is in white orchard where the little boy is singing, “It’s raining it’s pouring, Emperor Emhyr is snoring, he bumped his head when he went to bed, and wet himself come morning” I sometimes find myself randomly singing it when I’m doing school work or house work
On ps5 do we still get the insane excessive long loading times in between games like we did on ps4 ?

Witcher 3 is one of my all time favorite games, the PS5 version with Dualsense integration is perfect, the graphics look absolutely amazing.
When it first came out I bought the disc version. Completed it, along with dlc, then completed new game plus. Was excited for this release.
My save file *will not* work with the digital version. :(
Am gutted.
I got jumpscared by background noises on the 3D headset... its an absolutely amazing game that is probably the best way to end 2022. I will be playing this until the 7th or 10th (depending on the version you choose) of February, when the next massive open world game comes out!!

Can someone help me get into this game?? I’ve tried twice now over the years before this update and I always struggle making it past the first few hours, my stuff keeps breaking and enemies seems so high level lol
I bought this when it came out because I'd won a £30 Argos voucher and didn't need anything else. Still never got round to playing it despite buying the expansions on sale. Wanted to wait till i had time to do it justice. That's paid off now!

This was a game where I would never rush anywhere and I would quite happily trot to places.
Confession time: I've never played The Witcher 3. Having said that, with this PS5 upgrade, and the fact that it's currently on sale for only £15, I think as a gamer, I have an obligation to buy it and play it over Christmas.

What armour is that!!
I own Witcher 3 physical. Not played yet. If I play it and really enjoy and buy game of the year edition, in ps store when it’s about £5.99. Would I be able to jump from my standard physical copy, to digital game of the year copy and carry on from where I left off? Or would the physical and digital saves not match?
I bought bloodborne goty edition. I started It and quit early on. I later downloaded bloodborne standard edition and when I tried to play, it says I need other version with dlc.

Was scared for a minute when the free upgrade didn't show up immediately when I booted up my PS4 disc version
looks better on my PC, but playing on my PS5 because the Haptic feedback on controller is amazing ,esecially on horseback and when fighting.
You can play on your PC with your PS5 contoller and still get the haptic feedback, it's in the options.
@@gabyn5091 no , its not comparable , tried the G.O.G and Steam versions , but the rumble you get isnt as good as on ps5 ,graphics are better on pc,but gameplay feels better on Ps5
CD project Red mentioned the Dualsense wouldnt have hapticFeedback on PC on their site
@@bassax7045 they did? I'm sorry man i just tried with my ps4 controller on steam for a bit and it was working fine so i thought 5 would also be plug n Play. I'll check the options again because i thought i saw dual sense option there.

I'm used to 30 fps and with motion blur it's not that bad because I love the addition of raytraced global illumination.
It feels like they're narrating a NatGeo documetary. Great vid btw. Can't wait to play it again.

I watched so many videos about how this is the greatest RPG ever, and yet I kept bouncing off it whenever I tried to play it. I gave it one final go with this generational update and I'm so glad I did, as this time it clicked. And it clicked BIG time. I felt empty and sad when it came to an end, it really is as good as everyone says. Only took me 9 years to find that out 😂 Probably in my top 3 games ever now, i adore it.
Would've been cool if they added more hairstyles for Geralt.

Ps4 Base game/ standard version can't update to 4.00. It's stuck on version 1.62.
Did you update it to the ps5 version?
@@ricardojose1301 the ps5 version is 4.00. My ps4 version stuck on 1.62. So i can't transfer my save. I don't know if CDPR lying or not they said you can transfer your save file with ANY ps4 version. I know GOTY version can transfer the save file, but not the standard version. Thanks CDPR!!
