The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a 2015 action role-playing game developed and published by CD Projekt. It is the sequel to the 2011 game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and the third game in The Witcher video game series, played in an open world with a third-person perspective. The games follow the The Witcher series of fantasy novels written by Andrzej Sapkowski.
The game takes place in a fictional fantasy world based on Slavic mythology. Players control Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer for hire known as a Witcher, and search for his adopted daughter, who is on the run from the otherworldly Wild Hunt. Players battle the game's many dangers with weapons and magic, interact with non-player characters, and complete quests to acquire experience points and gold, which are used to increase Geralt's abilities and purchase equipment. The game's story has three possible endings, determined by the player's choices at key points in the narrative. - Hry
I don’t know if it’s just me but I just can’t play on 30fps for the sake of ray tracing. Looks great in both modes though.
Probably because you're used to 60 fps.
30 fps for a first person shooter is unplayable, but with the Witcher imo it's not a big deal
30 fps have stutters right now
My only reason for choosing RT over 60FPS is because in the 20 minutes of demoing the game last night, I noticed that there's a ton of weird texture wonk in the grass in 60 that's not there in the RT mode.
30 fps is toooo stutering. I played Forbiden West in 30 fps and looked wayyy smother. Witcher 3 is unplayable in 30 fps.

I don't know if it's just me but I just can't play on performance mode knowing that the lighting on ray tracing mode looks so much better and creates a much denser atmosphere.

you play on a HD READY or what ? "quality" mode is just an insult, 900p, everything blur, lower than 30 fps not constant, RT where is it ? better lights, better water, better reflections in performance... Quality mode is just an insult.

I regret that I couldn’t play the game before. Low framerate and high graphical density just gave me a headache each time. Performance mode looks like medicine for that. Can’t wait to see what I’ve missed.
I used to be a graphics over performance but now the game was already very clunky I'm happy with graphics I pick performance for that smooth playthrougg
Sad they couldn't get ray tracing mode to be 4K. Maybe in the future?

Even high end graphics cards that cost 4x more than a PS5 have problems with rt at 4k. 4k is still unachievable in the long term. Maybe in 10 years.
0:27 Water with rt looks just atrocious. It's like water settings were switched from high to low lol.
1rst game i saw the performance mode is better than quality... quality = 720p, same "RT" or worst than performance, only different is in RT the game downs the brightnes 3 or 4 points... absurde.
It's not a locked 30fps at RT on. It drops significantly. But on performance the drop is very minimal in frames still feels smooth.

Ray Tracing (RTGI and RTAO) is a total game changer here. Witcher looks amazing, and in some scenes I can stop and marvel at what I see. Too bad it's not 4k, the view would be even more spectacular, but you have to enjoy what you have. And it's a shame that sometimes the frames drop below 30fps.
Funny that, horizon fw uses neither and is rated the best looking game by df AND nx (graphics) , you have lying eyes rasta techniques are 10x cheaper and do an amazing job. Cyberpunk max 4k looks nowhere near hfw and it takes my 3090ti to get 60fps LOL
Com o rt fica mais atmosferico, se tivesse modo 120hz 40 seria minha escolha ideal.
Rt doesn’t worth the fps drop. It only makes significant difference indoors anyway.Combat is clunky af at 30fps. It’s 2022 and everyone is used to 60. If you jump to 90-120 on fp shooters,even 60 feels rough

If you are on PS5 then you have to download separate version of Witcher 3 from store (with no PS4 "badge" on game picture. If you have just updated PS4 version, then it's still "just" PS4 version.

On my PlayStation 5 the option to activate ray tracing does not appear, why?
Go to display in options and you will see it’s on performance

Did you download the actual ps5 version? cause it doesn’t give you it when you just put in the disc, you have to go to the ps store and download it, after that go to settings in game and go to display, then graphics, then it should have an option for performance or ray tracing.
Maybe you bought a GameStation 5, in this there no ray tracing

Desde cuando el modo performance se ve MEJOR en TODOS los sentidos que el modo calidad ? WTF ? menuda estafa el RT, ni hay reflejo en el agua ni se ve mejor nada y la iluminación es peor... terrible.
Ps5 30fps mode in games is stuttering terrible, not only the witcher game. I connect my pc to TV and played games on 30fps, no stuttering. PS5 30fps mode is broken
I use 30fps with RT mode and use sony tv motion set to smooth and cinema motion high 😂😂😂😂
