So you’re telling me now I can run through the streets of Novigrad stealing everything and not have to flee from a swarm of one-shot guards.
Absolutely yes! I've already killed a tons of guards 🤭
@tizio2332 same here 🤣🤣
@@tizio2332 Geralt is now the most wanted man in Nilfgaard, Redania, and the free city
@@tizio2332 Killed? I thought they were essential. Playing white orchard first time I got them to 1hp and they wouldnt die
One shot guards? I was never one spotted by a guard.
Did you notice that for the remaster cdpr changed how dialogue works when a character is supposed to interrupt another character mid speech? Before the update there used to be a pause whenever a character interrupted another character mid dialogue which made it look a bit weird like it didn't feel natural, but now after the remaster interruptions happen immediately and are fluent! Like for example when emhyr says "silence" when we first meet him used to be a pause between Geralt stopping his sentence and Emhyr saying "silence" but now it happens immediately! I love that they went as far to make this change and so far I have seen it in every instance of interruption I know of in the game
Finally its fixed. 😌 I find it weird and awkward when they pause mid sentence 😆
Noticed it as well, glad I'm not the only one. Another reason this game is my favorite of all time. Just hope they fix the raytracing on PC. Performance is downright horrendous.
Most of video games I’ve played has more or less this issue.
Nice that they’ve changed it here
Such a pet-peeve of mine. Glad they fixed it.
No. They interrupted since many patches before in the normal game. At least in my normal ps4 pro game
RIP top notch swords guy, you will be forever remembered
On my ps4 he still says top notch swords :/ and only sells one crap sword.
He still says top notch swords for me on ps5 and I also thought he was referring to my own swords when he says it :D
My favourite little tweak so far is that sprinting no longer uses stamina out of combat. I mean, it made sense that it did before, but was really annoying. Also, rolling in combat doesn't use stamina either, only halts its regeneration. Knowing all this, I'm curious if they did something to the bonus of the Reginald Statue in Blood and Wine, since the whole point of that was unlimited stamina out of combat :D
Yes I realized this too ! It was such an upgrade !
Doesnt witchers have unlimited stamina? So it kinda makes sense then but i am not sure
@@Basra654 They don't have unlimited stamina, but they have significantly more than a normal person. So yes, it can work both ways and still be lore-friendly
@@kirakovacs4877 well whatever i am totally fine with the stamina change lol
Stamina shouldn't ever be drained for running given that "running the trail" is a fundamental part of the training to become a witcher
I just had the thought, but could it be that maybe CDPR intended for that armorer to be complimenting Geralt’s swords, not referring to his own? Even if that is the case, I get why they changed it. Still, I’m gonna miss him a lot. Hopefully someone makes a mod to restore top notch swords guy.
I always thought he was complimenting Geralt's swords, for sure. Otherwise he would be kind of an idiot barking 'top notch swords' when he has none to sell.
That's what I was thinking, always had the feeling top notch swords were meant to compliment Geralt for his blades 🥲
They already made a mod lol. Check nexus.
I always thought it was just given to him in jest. However, I thought old creepy fingers had always interchanged between this and “welcome, welcoooome” greeting or am I thinking of another merchant they pulled the line from to give to him?
Hahah it's hilarious that they adressed such a meme, same with Yennefer's key
Top notch swords guy won't be forgotten
He's Back!
He also sell swords now
@@michaelnilsson8506 yeah, Top Notch Ones
Vesemir spoke lines were out of question because Polish actor Miłogost Reczek who played him passed away last year.
Also when prepering this quest there was two versions with or without Geralts dialogue. It's because Polish Geralt Jacek Rozenek had a stroke in 2019 and is partially paralysed. Only after CDPR was sure that he was able to voice his lines the final quest was given a go in current form.
Informations are from insider Borys Nieśpielak from "Rock & Borys" podcast www.youtube.com/@RockAlone2k Kind of a Jason Schreier of polish gamedev.
it's been a year and I still can't believe he's gone💔 such a loss for us Poles, he was and always will be an amazing voice actor
oh god, that's actually really unfortunate, im sorry
I'm now officially a Neon Knight enthusiast
What a character development for Yennefer.
Clearly influenced by Netflix, who removed all of Yen's book-accurate negative traits.
@@paulsoldner9500 wait a yennefer that isn’t a complete asshole shocking I liked the charm
@@paulsoldner9500 Yen wasn't cheater, we just had some... problems... leave her alone or i will leave you without theeth.
@@geraltofrivia7456 Istredd is still laughing at you
The casting of Yen in the shitflix series is terrible.
Would love to see a video on how all the builds changed.
Haven't seen anyone talk about that in detail and go over what was buffed and nerfed and new potential best builds etc.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but i think basically every skill was nerfed from having 5 levels to 3. This alone significantly affected alchemy builds that rely on acquired & heightened tolerance. You can now only use 2 decoctions without getting overdose.
@@aerosw1ft they fixed issues with sign builds not scaling properly aswell so they got a buff and euphoria got a nerf also so it'd be a good video to see how builds changed with before and afters of the damage and best gear.
You can get up to 3 decoctions with an end game build. I think euphoria is still the best but it'd be good to see the numbers.
@@zVampiirePlatypus yeah the euphoria nerf was absolutely needed lmao. The game legit became too easy and unchallenging with that build.
About the decoctions however, i was running a conductors of magic build with a bit of alchemy (mainly the tolerances) using legendary griffin armor in ng+, and 3 decoctions slowly kills me unless i use troll decoction. Will try it again later using grandmaster manticore armor, hopefully running that armor will still sllow me to run decoctions build
@@aerosw1ft I agree they made the builds more balanced overall which is good for the game.
Yeah it's manticore that I use for the 3 decoctions but I started a new save to try something else.
YES, PLEASE!!!!
Aww, that nilfgardian helmet kind of gave me hope that there would be much more mask/helmet cosmetic items added through the game. If anything they should’ve definitely added more new hairstyles for Geralt.
the knight helmets from Toussaint would have added so much potential :(
Would have loved to see a Nilfgaardian officer armor as well.
Imagine my surprise when i by accident triggered guards to attack me and was thinking there is like 30 of them here so i am dead, only to see green levels above their heads getting hit once and saying "ohhhhhh",cleaning them out was so satisfying.
About the Devil's Pit bandits being cleared; it was the first place I'd wandered into on my current (first!) playthrough when I got to Velen about a month ago, and I cleared it out. Then the update happened and I went to get the quest-if you do that, the game does recognize that you've already cleared out the bandits and gives you the appropriate dialogue, but it also spawns in new bandits to fight on your way down as well. Probably not intended, possibly not even a consistent bug, but I experienced it!
As in the video mentioned.
RIP Top Notch Swords Guy 😭
Welcome, Welcome!
That helmet is identical to Cahir’s from the books. Pretty cool
Many Nilfgaardian soldiers in the game have winged helmet. I'm a member of a Nilfgaardian LARP group called Nazair Brigade and we're using the wings as a way to show rank so medium infantry is using blackened steel for their wings and heavy infantry or officers are using brass wings. If you're interested in the subject we made a video about our helmets. czcams.com/video/FlrQmloOg2A/video.html
I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but I noticed Geralt takes less damage from falling down from higher places and cliffs
Common key meme to Yennefer's room is so funny xD
Dope about the winged helmet actually. Nice nod to Cahir (in the books at least)
I think it would be kind of traumatizing for Ciri, if Geralt reunited with her while wearing the winged helmet lol
@@addiecore Tbf Ciri conquered her fear of Cahir by the end, so unless she regressed as a character it's probably a-okay
I don't think it's a nod to Cahir. Many Nilfgaardian soldiers in the game have winged helmet. Always has been like that. I'm a member of a Nilfgaardian LARP group called Nazair Brigade which was founded after the release of The Witcher 3 and our armors are inspired by the ones in the game for the most part. We had to do some adjustments here and there. We're using the wings as a way to show rank so medium infantry is using blackened steel for their wings and heavy infantry or officers are using brass wings. If you're interested in the subject we made a video about our helmets. czcams.com/video/FlrQmloOg2A/video.html
@@lorddracule988 yeah, she conquered said fear pretty quickly when she kicked his ass on Thanedd
Huge missed opportunity to have the hooded/cape Geralt.
It's not possible without moving the swords to his waist.
A Video ramping up all of the combat changes would be nice, probably didn't find every of them myself. Most of them are basically taken from FCR3 Mod
I’m loving all this new content from you and xLetalis! Can’t wait to jump back into the world if the Witcher!
It looks SO good on ps5. It feels like a new game. It’s a way bigger upgrade than the last of us “remake” that’s $70. I’d pay money for this but I’m so glad CDPR made it free. I can’t stop taking pictures. Everything is so pretty. Even crookback bog is like soooo beautiful now.
@@neville2308 it can’t be a way bigger upgrade because that game is rebuilt from ground up. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think TLOU part I should cost $70, and I think the Witcher next gen is amazing except on PC, but it’s free, so it’s still great we have it. But yeah, your comparison seems off to me.
And I’m just sad that raytracing costs so much performance on PC that it’s unplayable, it’s so damn beautiful especially with everything on.
I loved the new quest! Really great how it also expanded upon the in universe lore and history.
Great video as always!
very nice update!
keep being amazing Knight!
I really enjoy your content, been subscribed since the very beginning and i'm glad your subscribers are increasing. The quality and love you put in every video is an example for lots of other content creators. Keep up the good work! :)
Thanks a lot. All your videos are high quality and helped me enjoy the game even more!
keep these videos coming Neon..your subs and views are climbing....great content..ty
Please consider a video about combat, so glad you’re here to break down the new updates!
Food doesn't restore health as quickly when you have the 20 minute duration perk. That and maxed out Quen were always part of my ideal build, but it's not as effective now. 😭😅
Oh, wow, I didn't realise and know about that. This is why I was having such hard time in the wandering in the dark cave and some other boss fights.
DUDE!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Please make a video covering the changes to skills and abilities or combat overall. Great video as always!
Awesome stuff man keep searching!
Nice video, waiting for more :D
Great video, liked and subscribed!
Would also love to see a video about all the changes. Especially from the Realistic Combat Overhaul Mod!
A video on all the combat changes would be great! Seems they nerfed alchemy builds slightly, those were/are super fun and would be interesting to see new "best build" guides
The fact that decoctions now do toxicity damage over time is disappointing but hopefully, some brand-new builds will emerge
I think that they also changed the speed of ligth attacks. They are much slower now
Well, people were complaining that the combat has been too easy so they tweaked that
Honestly I'm still playing with my old euphoria buil. Can still drink 3 decoctions and kill stuff in 2-3 hits on death march NG+. Nerfs are not bad tbh
I played the entire game on death march without out even using potions or decoctions at all other than swallow. It's too easy to make the combat easy in this game even without them.
Great video man! Thx
Thanks for watching and commenting congratulations I've a prize for you text now to claim 🎁
I know it’s just one quest and a handful of small details added, but this update has made me gain some more confidence in CDPR’s ability to make great, detailed, and memorable stories again. Hopefully this is an example of how the future Witcher games will be!
Everything about cyberpunk was just as great and memorable for me
A video about all changes made to combat, stats, gear, etc... would be greatly appreciated! Especially since CDPR did not flat out copy paste the mods, but instead went further than the mods in some cases, omitted some aspects of the mods, added changes of their own, etc... It's been hard to find info on all the actual changes in this version. Also, some people have said there have been changes to the economy? If so, a video on that would be great. Thanks for the great content!
I also noticed that geralt will now light the torch when he equips it, small detail but appreciated
I know that this would take a long time to do and probably wouldn't bring in the big views, but I'd like a video showing EVERYTHING they changed. Like a split-screen side by side displaying "before" and "now".
It would be really cool for those of us who haven't touched the Witcher 3 for multiple years now. Otherwise when I replay it in the future I'll definitely be going like: "Wait, I remember this was different. Maybe not, maybe it's just my imagination." all the time. 😅
That house of respite and lamp is new to me, thanks for the info, got a new sub
PLEASE do the video on the combat changes and their specifics, I would love it
when i first found the candle lantern i was like hold uppp this was not here before and i played witcher 3 a year ago and i still remembered where things were in this game ...just goes to show how memorable the world is.
Man overpowerd guards were good to keep you in check not stealing in citys. And a good practice too. I will miss those
I'd love to see the balance changes mentioned somewhere. First thing i noticed once i loaded into the game was that 4 decoctions and Euphoria does no longer triple your damage, and also that toxicity level starts taking your health down even with this ability that used to make it 100% immune. Would love to see if other builds have also been tweaked.
The last bit with Vesemir is quite unfortunate. The man that voiced Vesemir in polish version sadly passed away so they couldn’t do anything even if they wanted to in polish version
Great video.
Didn't use* to work. Great video, mate! You have an awesome voice, and I laughed a couple times watching this video lol
There was really only one thing I wanted then to fix and they didn't do it. The sword racks in Corvo Bianco still occasionally have random scabbards floating in the air when you display certain swords.
Ya I have an old save where I had completed everything so have Toussaint, it looks incredible but still buggy, in the house a table was missing so a candle is just floating, that's still there and Yennefer still randomly stands up on that couch she lies on.
They took out top notch sword guy? Next thing you know, there will be no more pam param!
i've been binge watching your videos ever since i started playing the witcher 3
Thanks for watching and commenting congratulations I've a prize for you text now to claim 🎁
F for top notch swords guy, my favorite merchant :(
Yeah, the candle lantern took me by surprise. Literally.
Still can't believe you got the early access and xLetalis didn't...
The lantern was always in the game files but only obtainable via console commands. Cool that they made it accessible to everyone now.
I'm pretty sure I found and picked it up on my PC last year.
the quick sign cast are such a good feature
I’m loving these changes!
The fact that they removed the "Top notch swords" sentence alone is enough for me to know we are living in the darkest timeline.
Something I encountered with the Devil's Pit bandits - I started the quest on an existing pre-next gen save and it did in fact respawn the bandits - but I also got the dialogue saying Geralt had already cleared them.
I’ve had a few people saying that bug happened to them 😬
Obviously the greatest witcher channel out there, like I said I can't wait for you to expand your channel with cyberpunk :) maybe one day
I found the candle lantern as well and was pleasantly surprised with my little discovery
I kind of liked how the guards were gods they were a great way to test new builds and damage
I hated it cuz they took like all my coin when I lost to them. So glad I have a chance against them now haha
Great vid, thanks. How do you remember that the candle lamp is new or not, you might have just missed it (or other details). Though great work, cheers.
Polish voice actor of Vesemir passed away last year and I believe that's the reason why we can't talk to Vesemir, he was a very important person to us Poles and CDPR
Hehe yeah, i found lantern, but still torch outlights it :D Also for top notch swords, i would make something like "top notch swor....errr...i wanted to say armors" or something like that just as funny easter :D
I glad that the Top Notch Swords Guy it's Back!
Could you make a combat changes video? I've been trying to make some new builds and that would help me a lot. Thanks!
awesome vid. love to see these secret additions in the update. Also, is it just me or does geralt's voice sound extra rough or "choppy" at 6:45 ?
Ive waited so long for a helmet!
Top Notch Swords guy still says his iconic line on my PS4
For those (like me) that are playing this game again, there is a new scene with Yennefer at the end of Kaer Morhen's quests, those that comes before Geralt goes to rescue Ciri. Both Geralt and Yen kiss each other before he go, it is not a very important cutscene but a little detail for those - like me - that felt a lack of tenderness on both of them during the main quests. I got this cutscene during her romance, so I don't know if it's different if you romance Triss only.
Good video. About talking to Vesemir. His polish voice actor had sadly passed away few months ago, so it might be the reason why he doesn't have anything new to say.
Neon Knight!!! Our walking-talking encyclopedia for everything Witcher!!! Take a bow, Sir!
Liked the vido for Oooodrin. Keep up the good work. Although I'd probably rank him right above O Dimm.
Devil’s Pit is turned into a hospital well there goes my Aerondite level farming
Hey man you mentioned maybe doing a video about the changes to skills , that would be absolutely awesome! I actually believe this next-gen patch has been a massive overall nerf to my current hybrid built to the point that I went 100% Combat, and just 3 skills slots in alchemy and 1 in Cat School (I'm just talking active skills slots though, since we now have soooo many unused skills points that I have everything that matters maxxed at lvl 37). But yea would love to hear your thought on new builds
Werewolf decoction changed too, since sprinting no longer consumes stamina
Was kinda irrelevant but I used werewolf decoction a lot lol
Now it regenerates stamina during combat, while its clear and a full moon
Bookshop merchant near the top notch sword guy. Usually after finishing transaction you exit standing on top of a pile of books. Now you exit standing on the floor beside the books.
Please make a video about changes in the combat!
I found another helmet inside the nilfgaardian camp in a cart on top of a crate with nilfgaardian gauntlets and chest armour.
I always used to use a mod to make guards not immortal demigods, now finally CDPR did it themselves!
One other thing I would like to see is the world reacting and changing according to whichever side happens to win the war (Nilfgaard, Radovid or Djikstra)! :D
- This was one of my very rare complaints bout the game so far (though there is a mod for this as well)...
Top notch swords guy was my main seller during the main quest pre Blood and Wine.
His words have been carved in my brain forever.
Truly a bittersweet change
nice voice and to the point
I love how Reinald is voiced by Garrosh from WoW. His evil laugh is iconic.
damm i love your videos
Another fight that they tweaked was the Djin fight. I was playing Death March with enemy scaling on. I accidentally my Witcher armour a level early but was close to the level up so thought I’d get the required xp through the Skjal quest and the lead up to the Djin fight…. I didn’t. So I fought the Djin with Skajl’s steel sword and random armour scraps that I looted on the way. I beat it on my second try and was even surviving hits and the fight was easier than I expected. I think CDPR went into this fight and tweaked it
In White orchard the frying pan mission, i'd be interested to know if they "fixed" Thalers monocle. Many years ago a dev said that it is usable but it never has been.
Great video man this amazing, I can’t believe how much more this update hides than they even told us. Usually big game developers these days don’t go beyond what they say they’re going to add, but CDPR is amazing me 🔥🔥
OMG top notch swords guy is gone? He was my favorite! I'm not even going to try this next gen thing anymore!
i really like your voice!☺
ive noticed a lot of new conversions amongst npcs general things and quests related which gives the game more depth, more npcs also recognise Geralt and thank him
Can you do a video to show which cut/bugged content was restored like that Vesemir conversation? I would be interested in that.
Top notch swords guy, will live forever in our hearts xD
Thanks for watching and commenting congratulations I've a prize for you text now to claim..
I always took “top notch swords” as referring to Geralt’s swords, not the armorer’s.
Me too.
Yeah builds for Death March difficultly because of the changes would be a great topic I would want to see!
Don't know if you've done this already but if you go back to the dwarf in white orchard when his new shop has been built and if he sent the other guy to the ropes you have a dialogue option that warns him if the tie turns he better leave with the nilfgardians
I'm sure, You already noticed that You get the Netflix gear in this place, if You activated "alternative Nilfgaardian Armor" in the settings?
Thankyou for pleasing our eyes by not activating that, of course... 😉
I would love to see a video summarizing all the unannounced changes to gameplay/character build. I have noticed some of them (only 3 instead of 5 XP needed to max an ability out, my level 100 max toxicity is much lower than before, Gourmet does not regenerate health as fast as before, Grandmaster Wolven Armor does not allow 3 blade oils at once,...) and yes, I think the way to build up the character is massively influenced. Would be a very interesting video!
It's cool they added the Nilfgaard helmet, you could have them with the More Robes mod before.
That thing with getting in with nilfgaardian armor was present before update, there wasnt any loot at the place though. Place is a part of cut questline just like nilfgaardian camp
Lol never seen the yennefers key meme. Actually pretty hilarious.
Thank Melitele that Top Notch Swords is back now
