Well said, Kier...." masculinity is more about leadership and less about dominance".
You have NO idea how Sit Down Talk starved I was. Happy to have you back guys
Loveeeee how y'all answered the masculinity/femininity question. It was refreshing, especially coming from a Black couple.
Oh my goodness y’all!! I’m just so proud!! I am a proud subscriber!! It’s the consistency for me!!😂
I like the way Kier articulated the support conversation. I’m the same way for it seems to be the same reason. Mama wasn’t going to show up, so I turned off that need. It’s hard to relate to people who require that.
Noémie feels like that super dope and smart older cousin that you look up to and want to become. I love the dynamic you both have created within your Marriage that transpired from your love for each other. I’m 25 and want to be married one day. Growing up I did not have any thriving couples around that actively depicted healthy relationships. Getting to witness and learn from you guys means so much to me and my journey to deciding and depicting the type of relationship/marriage I want to create.
whene Kier said, "you look a mess bu you made it," I felt that. I do look and feel a mess lol but I'm here 🤣
Your Sit Down Talks are game changers in relationships, may look simple just sitting in the kitchen talking but we're using your tools, counsel and experiences to heal and better our unions! So I've noticed ever since you had Sydney, you both talk alot more about the task/weight of cleaning up, keeping the house clean, gearing up the energy to pick up around the house, etc. It's a comment that comes up frequently. Have you thought about getting a cleaning person/ housekeeper? Someone who comes for a few hours 5-6 days a week to clean up. Some families don't believe in outsourcing that, see it as a form of laziness or don't want domestic staff..so I respect if that's the case. But the time it would free up would be gold instead of having to wipe kitchen, sweep rooms, you could rest and breathe more. Humble suggestion. Love you both!
Love how articulate you two are!
Y’all be spitting 👏🏾
Will definitely be listening to the Tracee Ellis Ross podcast....That will have to be a car ride moment! So many ways to get educated and inspired! This is one of the things I love about technology! ♥️
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE TRANSPARENCY OF THE CONVERSATION.
This was a phenomenal conversation. More of these! Please and thank you.
Kier I listened to the suggested Tracie E. Ross podcast and all I have to say is ...wow. I see why Noami has listened to this particular podcast on multiple occasions. Appreciate you guys honesty and vulnerability 👏🏾😊.
You two are sooooo adorable and amazing! 💜🦋🥰
Kier & Noémie thank y’all so much for your transparency, I truly appreciate it more Than words can say. Kier I can relate (not that we are the same or that our experience is the same) with you when you talk about cutting off the blood supply to having or feeling the need to have support from others. Just for context…I convinced myself that there was no point in receiving flowers as a gift because they would just die and would be a waste of money… I believed that through two 4 year relationships… 1 in high school and 1 in college. In high school I received a dozen roses for my 16th bday. It was a huge surprise. I loved it. Then he never gifted me with flowers again. Fast forward 8 years I reconnected with my now husband after 8 years of simply living life. had a conversation about receiving flowers and I remember telling him “oh I don’t care to receive flowers they are a waste of money and they just shrivel and die.” Fast forward to the first Valentine’s Day or special event together and he bought me flowers…. It was the most beautiful thing in the world. And in that moment, I realized it wasn’t that I didn’t like flowers… but because I hadn’t received them I told myself that there was no use for them. I’ve received flowers after each birth of my children, for anniversaries for the last 14 years and so forth and so on. I also believe that if he had never changed my narrative and never bought flowers I would still have a distorted perception that flowers were pointless. Just a thought.
Happy Birthday Kier 🎉🎂🥂🎉🎉🎊
