Repeat offender! I’m single, no kids but have 4 godkids and one thing I admire about y’all is your vulnerability to be honest about your views on parenthood. I feel sometimes people hold back their true feelings to not be viewed or judged a certain way so it’s a breath of fresh air to see realness with y’all. I’m 30 and always imagined/wanted kids early but having witnessed firsthand my godsis’s challenges with birthing my youngest goddaughter it was the greatest form of birth control lol. Viewing the bond is beautiful but it takes a lot to get to that point. I can honestly say I’m still not opposed to kids but wouldn’t be upset if that wasn’t in my future because I’m slick terrified of what comes with it.
Happy Mother’s Day to all that have that role, y’all are amazing!

I love the way you both talked through the third child conversation. Kier's transparency and honesty is something I admire. He verbalized exactly my feelings. I love my kid but i just do not have the mental capacity or bandwith to do this all over again. Lol It's so crazy how our childhood affects and shapes our parenting styles whether it be positively or negatively. Great convo as always.

“I do not enjoy raising little kids as much as I thought I would…it’s not my jam” 😆 I felt that! Sometimes, I tell ppl I didn’t sign up for the ugly parts of parenthood only the sweet and easy parts and that’s not reality, so I should’ve thought this through more 😆

I'm glad you gave your daughter another playmate because raising a solo kid definitely was heart break. I have 6 brother and sisters so I never thought I would only have one bc our relationship as adults is invaluable. But I just never found the right one to raise another with 🤷🏾‍♀️
I'm also happy that you all are having a discussion on vasectomy. I remember seeing the girl find out her husband had a vasectomy after he already had it when she brought up the discussion of having a third kid. They are no longer together. A vasectomy is definitely less invasive as having a tubal ligation and Kier I definitely agree that more men should have them.

I love just hearing y’all just talk and discuss. It’s helps me be able to verbalize what’s going on with me so then I can be more intentional and be able to explain it to someone else

I love the honesty at the end about feelings of having another kid. I don't have kids now and I think about all those things and some people love to glorify some of it and I don't be feeling the glory especially as a woman that will carry the kid. I love having control over my body and having a kid will take most of that away from me and that freaks me out and sure a kid will come after but dying having a kid also freaks me out as a black woman.

I feel you Kier. I don’t like the small babies. I love them when they are older. Noemi please look at them baby videos and baby photos. Smell those old onesies. I have both of my kids snugly from the hospital for the days I miss those moments. I know you both will make the best decision for your family. Blessings to you both!

I love both of y'all insight on sharing different & similar parenting styles, etc. As a mom of 1 (more than likely done) it feels good to know that I'm not alone & very intentional about making big life changing experiences. Much love fam & Happy Mother's Day Noémie💜🌹.

My husband had a vasectomy he got it done in the office, it was a tiny incision and he only took 1 day recovery then he was back on his feet coaching my sons came the next day. He was fine. We absolutely did not want a third kid and now that we have put them both through college I am glad we are done. It was difficult with 2 , couldn’t imagine another one.

I love this conversation around children. I think that people are becoming more transparent about the role of parenthood. I appreciate your transparency and to Kier I’ve heard that some people are better parents to their children in different stages of their lives. For instance, some women love the infant/baby stage of the child’s life and I usually see those women having children back to back. Then there are parents who enjoy the childhood aspect of parenting and people like you who want to get to the adult child stage. What do you think about this “theory”

When we got pregnant we made an agreement. I'm great with early childhood, so 0 to 10 we deferred to me. He's phenomenal with teens so 10+ we deferred to him.
We always play to our strengths and expertise.

I agree about the deodorant. I’m a bit of a hippie so I don’t like to wear deodorant (because of the ingredients), but when I do, I find that I have to apply a few time before my body can absorb it and for it to work.

Repeat offender! Biggest takeaway is how you are raised colors everything. I wasn’t given rewards either & don’t care about them either. Because I was raised by my Dad, after the age of 12 I pretty much figured things out on my own. As a result I have a hard time asking anyone for help. I have finally figured out when I am running on empty & need a refill & I usually have to reconnect with family since I’m single. It’s a difficult balance & I’m hyper independent. Not good all the time.
