    I made this video mainly to go over some of more "Tesla Specific" part of the install since majority of the Airlift management install as well as the suspension install is pretty generic to most other cars and was also covered in my Tesla Model 3 airlift 3H install video.

    Awesome video! Very informative with detailed explanations. Thank you! I have a 2022 Model Y Performance and primarily want a smoother ride. I love the 21” turbine wheels, but our crappy roads makes the stock ride pretty harsh. Hoping an air suspension will help smooth things out even with the performance wheels. Great job on the custom install. Love the fact that you can remove the tank and compressors so quickly and still maintain a drivable ride height. Keep up the great work! You’ve just earned yourself a new subscriber!

      Thanks buddy! Thanks for taking your time to let me know that you appreciate my video! For that, I appreciate you too!
      Means a lot to me.
      And yes, air suspension is so convenience and ride so smoothly if you have the right setup, the front sleeve bags from the UAS kit that is, the double bellow from air demand isn’t bad either but you can definitely feel the difference in the sleeve bags from UAS. Not cheap tho but consider some owners are willing to drop 5-10k on just wrap, ppf, ceramic coat…etc, ~5k for a comfort ride, a nice stance (low ride with flush fitment wheels) if that’s what you’re into, yet being able to go over any bumps at ease, is a good investment IMO

    • @vmarcable
      @vmarcable Před 2 lety

      @@TeslaDIY Very true about the investments! The Model Y is such a great vehicle; having a more comfortable ride on our washboard streets would be next level.
      I noticed you mentioned flush fitment wheels for the low stance. Does that mean the stock 21” wheels and tires are too wide or stick out too far? If so, what sizes are you running?
      Thank you very much for the reply and additional info! I really appreciate it!

    I wanna install air suspension in Tesla model y performance. Any issues with electrical or battery . I already bought the airlift performance kit with dual compressor. But I am scared with battery issues or once we get out the car will shutdown itself and lock , but with air suspension door will lock shut the battery right ? Any recommendations in Dallas Texas to install my kit . Hard to find a dealer to install on Tesla 😰😰

    • @TeslaDIY

      i personally have no issue with air demand on my model 3, it rides a bit sportier (firm) but i do have it set at max stiff dampening. down side of airdemand is probably after sale service although i personally have not had any need of service since its been good so far for 1.5 year of use. Also airdemand doesnt raise as high, but i find it high enough for what i need so far. UAS is a bit more expensive, definitely more comfortable thanks to the front sleeve bag design, ability to raise up wayyyy higher than stock, i have it set to 1/2 stiffness (12 out of 24 clicks) and its nice and smooth. airing up and down unevenly is probably a downside, watch part of my video where i explain this issue

    After seeing the Plaid structural air tank on Munro, I was hoping the Y's could be hidden under the frunk or in the lower hatch trunk. Oh, well, at least the ride will be smooth - and that's the entire point. Great work making the tank&compressors easily/quickly removable, too! Thanks for excellent explanation of the install and potential pitfalls, too!

      haha you commented on the wrong video, but yeah, i applied the 3M tape primer on the bumper only since the ADRO front lip already had 3M double sided tape applied on the back side of the spoiler. It dries pretty quickly, 1-2 mins maybe

    • @TeslaDIY

      I ran mine alongside of the rocker, i drilled holes on the taps inside the rocker panel and ran the lines thru it so its secured. Some people run it alongside of the coolant channel cavity, which is a better option, just harder to do, you can watch UAS's video by Zack, he shows how he ran his thru the coolant channel
