I've heard people say "why aren't people talking about Trump?" hundreds of times since the debate. People are talking. His supporters don't care, or they are in favor of these crazy policies. Alyssa is right that there are tens of thousands of people who simply won't vote if there isn't a candidate that will energize them, and not simply against Trump, but toward progress.

Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe said it best: most Americans do not Trump reelected as President of the United States, but Democrats need to take the time to figure who the best choice to go up against Trump is without forcing people to vote for Trump by default. Let's remember that Trump lied and, at some points, gaslit the American people. And, as a Republican, Trump needs to step as much as (if not more than) Joe Biden maybe should. However, albeit a farce one, GOP voters had the chance to select someone else as the Republican nominee besides Donald Trump. While I do not believe the majority of young voters will voter for Trump over Biden, let's understand that there are some issues that young voters care about that they feel Joe Biden is lacking at.

If we don't have Biden as the candidate for the Democratic party, doesn't that mean that a bunch of politicians are going to pick for themselves who the nominee will be, overriding all of our primary votes? I voted for Biden in the primary and I don't want my vote to be overridden just because politicians are trying to predict the future of the election. I would be extremely angry that my vote was just thrown out and I think that would lose a lot of votes for the Democratic party, since that would be very similar to how Trump wanted to steal votes in 2020. A very far right party was leading by a large margin as well...the polls predicted them to win, the French got so overwhelmed with that scary prediction that on Election Day there was an overwhelming amount of people that voted...and they were easily defeated. This is why it is so important to vote Blue....its not just for you, but for the next generations.
