    Thank you for this. It's very helpful for a UK sewist like me. I'm new to LN and have only two patterns so far one of which I've made up and love. (the LDT).

    Wow I think you may have just removed my fear of these types of patterns! I had a horrible experience about 15 years ago which put me off them completely. Obviously you have worked out the kinks! I’m just getting back into sewing because I’m fat and can’t find any clothes I like. Even decent clothing for average size people is very hard to find. Looking forward to giving one of your patterns a try!

    Thank you for the tutorial! But I do have a question, will the pages not line up perfectly on the inch and half inch cutting mat grid lines?

    • @LoveNotions
      @LoveNotions  Před 3 lety

      Hmm not quite sure what you mean? The important thing is that the pages butt up against each other, not necessarily to the mat. If you want to check the scale you can measure the test square. Can you elaborate on your question? :)

    • @donnaschindlbeck7457
      @donnaschindlbeck7457 Před 3 lety

      @@LoveNotions I placed them on my cutting mat once to keep the bottom line straight, and the pages seem to line up with the grid lines very well. Some fall on the 1 inch line others fall on the 1/2 inch line as paper is 8 1/2 x 11.

    Hi, each page has a solid and dotted line on each side. Do you cut the excess off to line up the dotted lines. South Africa

    • @LoveNotions
      @LoveNotions  Před rokem

      Hi Ethel. The solid line is for US letter size pages and the dotted line if for A4 size. You first should turn off whichever you don't need in the layers panel as it will be easier to follow with just one of the lines. With the dotted lines for A4, you will line up the edge of the page flush to the the dotted line. With some printers, your page may have a border at the top of the page. This border will be a thick black solid line and will need to be trimmed. All of that is demonstrated in this video so I highly recommend you watch the full video to see the A4 instructions or you can skip to timestamp 6:20 to see just the A4 steps. ~K

    Hi, I find the actual assembly really easy, what I’m having a problem with, is that when you print the pattern layout, the page numbers are so light that I can hardly see them, any chance of darkening this at all? Many thanks if you read this!

    • @LoveNotions
      @LoveNotions  Před rokem

      This has been changed in the newer patterns as well as old patterns that have updated. For patterns that still have the old format, you can zoom in on that area in Adobe reader to see it better. ~K

    Can you tell me where to find instructions for sewing PDF patterns once you have downloaded pattern.
    .

    • @LoveNotions
      @LoveNotions  Před měsícem

      The instructions for each pattern are included in the "print at home" file included with each pattern. The print pages for the pattern are at the end of that file.
      Was there a specific pattern you needed help with? Or a more generalized "how to?" We have a lot of getting started blog posts on the Lovenotions.com website, too! ~J

    I printed out this pattern and my numbers on the pieces are different that your numbered pieces did I do something wrong?

    • @LoveNotions
      @LoveNotions  Před 3 lety

      You may have an updated version of the pattern. There is a print chart in the pattern so you can see exactly how it will go together. As long as you follow that, you'll be fine! ~K

      Hi is it right that there is then 2 rows of dotted lines. When watching the assembling video it is not clear. It's a distance away therefore can't see 1 or if 2 dotted lines

    • @LoveNotions
      @LoveNotions  Před rokem +1

      There should only be one dotted line. If you don't uncheck us letter guidelines, you will see a solid line for that plus the dotted guideline for A4.

    I need help. I've watched your videos over and over but it has not addressed my issue. I've gone to the facebook pattern support group and joined but I don't see where you really get immediate help. How long do you typically wait to get the help ?

      Did you make a post in the group? I am so sorry you didn't receive the help you needed. Admins, moderators and even fellow makers are commenting on posts in the Facebook group constantly. It is very rare for a post to go unanswered for 24 hours. You can email help@lovenotions.com and we'd be happy to assist you there. ~K

      @LoveNotions  Před 3 lety

      Make sure you have guidelines turned on in the layers section in Adobe. There are different guidelines for Letter and A4 paper so choose accordingly. Here's the blog post that goes with this video... hopefully it gives you some clarity: www.lovenotions.com/how-to-print-and-assemble-a-pdf-pattern
