- Part 1 of why SHMA is going down hill. It started out pretty good but later in late 2014 through 2016 it just went down hill. I understand there are some inconsistencies with the photos and the editing but I made the video to focus on the points and to reach the situation the line currently faces. And if it means going over every single figure then so be it.

The line started so good. Sure now we still get some good figures, but damn it's sad how many figures have mistakes. It'd be cool to see these early figures re-released.

Isn’t it kind of weird that it’s the more expensive figures that have problems?
2019 Godzilla: costs like 70 bucks, good paint, good articulation, and includes a beam.
2019 King Ghidorah: costs 180 bucks, bad paint, restrictive articulation, no accessories.
King ghidorah doesn’t have bad paint. And it would be too expensive if they added accessories

Ghidorah didn’t have bad paint, it just had paint that was pretty dull
@ItsJustAndrew I have the OG 2019 King Gidorah. And it's paint looks unfinished. I love it so much but. It looks like mustard was slathered on it and Tamashii called it a day.
Plus the mouths were over painted and the fleshy pink paint blended onto the jaw! I cant even believe the price either. It should've came with extra wings to have Gidorah in his quadrepedal form.
With the recent G19 nighttime release, I think it’s safe to say that this vid has aged decently

I’m lucky that I got Biollante when she was only 250!!!! I do feel bad for some people who didn’t get her cuz she is pretty good, but when I got her, her neck at the base of the body popped the off, then her jaws kept falling off in videos of mine so I keep remaking the video, taking almost around 30 minutes to make! But she still is a great figure after all. Hoped you read my comment and have a nice day! 😄
I'm one of those SHMA Collectors who just buy's them to pose them and never really look at the detail up close. My first SHMA was technically Godzilla Birth Ver but Godzilla 2014 arrived first and I loved it. Also loving this content from you and love your collection.

@@switzerland_swiss yeah and all the SHMA figures I've gotten with horrible QC issues would disagree with you. My Rathalos that came with broken ankles. The number of Godzillas I've gotten with bad paintapps and horrendous looking eyes. Gigan's wings basically snapping off from looking at them. GvK MechaGodzilla's thigh pistons breaking off at the pelvis. The list goes on.

Oh wow, so I've been collecting the line since it started. I had no idea of the '94 Godzilla was the first. I should be pretty grateful that mine has flawless eyes..but I've had to buy multiples of a few/look at several to get a good one. The QC on that area has never been consistently good; but it's gotten worse.
OML THIS IS SO TRUE. all their figures are super overpriced when ill pay 50 to 100 dollars max on their figures. I know they make great figures but way too overpriced

Just the fact that we saw S.H. MonsterArts *improve* on Mothra. They learned from there mistakes on Battra. Why didn't they improve on of the new figures (not counting Godzilla 2017)?

This is why I prefer Bandai Movie Monsters, sure you are limited to how much they pose but at least they don't fall apart unless you really force it. Not to mention the insane prices for some of these things you pointed out in the video even though Bandai Movie Monsters can be overpriced sometimes too but at least some of the ones that I've seen aren't as unreasonable as that Garuda.
I really hope there's a new Gigan in the orginal style soon.

What S.H.Monsterarts should do.
Lower the price of pricey figures or include accessories with the pricey figures. If they made this then it would made a little more comprehensible to have a high price.
Make more kaijus and Showa kaijus/Godzilla. This would satisfy the fans by having their favorite kaiju on display. And because I don’t have anything good to do, here’s my list of what kaijus I want.
10) Showa Moguera
9) Megalon
8) Kamacuras and Kumonga both eras (I put them on the same spot because they can appear in the same pack)
7) Megaguirus with Meganulons
6) Showa Baragon
5) Showa King Caesar
4) Hedorah both eras (I put it so high on the list because it would be interesting to see how they made it)
3) Varan (because he needs more love)
2) Monster x and Keizer Ghidorah
1) Anguirus.
Now, you choose the accessories in the replies, because I’m tired of writing.

I have the SDCC Godzilla. It's ok. The scuplt is good, it's the same as 1994. The tail holds and the legs are looser so it can move more. The down fall is they chose to use yellow ball joints rather than orange, so it sticks out through the Orange plastic. also on the tail the segments switch between a lighter and darker shade of orange plastic. No accessories. you might still be able to find it. depending on where you are though. If youre in the Los Angeles area there is a store in little Tokyo that has it.

Something they could’ve/should’ve included with the 1954 Godzilla that wouldn’t up the cost too much, would be some military vehicles and planes that aren’t super advanced.

My favorite Goji in the line is the kou kyou kyoku (1989/bio goji) figure. The only problem is that it’s out of scale with other heisei figures which sucks but it’s great.

Godzilla 1964 is probably (in my opinion) the best Showa figure besides the Showa mg the bootleg Showa ghidorah and 1954

Yoda hi hope things are well. That Gigan is super expensive. I picked up Gamera 1999 waiting for that to come in. Been working on the Matty Voltron with figures. Just need the Green and Black lion, then it will be complete. I still want to expand on the SH line. You have any other recommendations. I own only 6 of them still a newbie. I honestly agree with the “each era gets its own scale” because Showa Godzilla would be half the height of Heisei Godzilla

It's best if they don't shm knows that not everyone can buy all of their figures and there's definitely a lot of mixing of the areas when it comes to the Kaiju we get so it's probably for the best they keep everything in scale that why everything matches

My 2014 Godzilla has straight eyes 👀 and his teeth are colored perfectly I did not have to customize it I feel sorry for your figures but mine came perfect 👌 my 1954 goji has also good paint a good details but his eyes are still horrible that's OK with me sorry for your disagreements with the figures with me but they're good to me but it's all about what you like about it because you are my favorite CZcamsr I give u morale support
