Nine needs more commentators like Slater and less like Thurston. Even Gallen's a mile better on T.V than Thurston.
Latrel played fullback that first year in 2016. He was great for his age, better than Tommy turbo at that time. But they put a holt to his growth when they shifted him to put Michael Gordon there the next year. Time is all it will take for latrell to get back to his groove. But unfortunately rugby league is that sport that is impatient and wants everything right now! Humble yourself latrell and work your way back up. You have the skills.

for once i agree with almost everything phil says here the moment we see latreel shirtless alongside the others its clear hes not 100 percent in anyform of the word
He has had the same physique his whole career, he has coasted off his natural gifts. He obviously doesn't have the strict diet and workout regime that most professional rugby players have, that is obvious with his soft body.
He is a luxury player, which can work in the centres. But all the best fullbacks have high work rates, which is why he will never be a great fullback, as Gallen states.He will eventually be moved back into the centres, whether thats sooner or later, who knows.

My fear has always been that Wayne Bennett's main interest these days is to mentor troubled young men rather than win premierships, a-la James Roberts.

We see this every year when people start blowing air into players asses until they start thinking they best and get a sense of entitlement. So many players when they get too much attention they lose their talent. His not a full back never was never will be
He needs to start hanging out with people that are humble and grateful. Not his current crop of hanger onerers and deadbeats who are blowing sunshine up his jacksy.
You look at a guy like Kaylan Ponga. All the talent in the world combined with humility and a solid work ethic. Latrell can learn a lot from him.
this conversation has aged well. as a Rooster supporter, I really feel for Latrell and I'm not going to criticize him one bit. despite his dodgy form in recent months, i still believe in him as a player whether he plays fullback or in the centres. he still has great potential and such a big future ahead of him. no matter if he's still playing at the rabbitohs or not, he's still a great player

Latrell should of assisted the first try if the guy didnt drop it, he assisted one and made a try saving catch after his teammate knocked on in goal..... Theres 12-18 points....
LM is a great player. He does some extremely intelligent things on the footy field in attack. He's got arguably a top 3 NRL coach in Bennett. Granted the guy need a to do a bit of work but it's good to remember that positive reinforcement is generally more motivating than negative

Mitchell doesn't need to be Slater/Tedesco style fullback to succeed. It's fine for him to have half their touches, because that's what Inglis did at fullback. But he needs to run the ball like Inglis. Against the Broncos he was getting the touches, but his first thought was to play make like the other fullbacks. No Latrell, you need to run first! It's his ball running and talent that makes him successful and playing in a position where he can do more of it will only make him a better player.

Erin is the best female presenter the nrl have ever had...as well as one of the best presenters...I remember when they use to get those ex net ballers on the show it was like they had a chip on there shoulder...and were there to keep the boys in check..and she actually likes the game...unlike some who have come before her....and she’s smokin!
