alan has had multiple sclerosis for past decade. amazing effort to just get up on stage yet alone sing and play the way he did at the apollo glasgow. an inspiration to us all. loved his playing since day one from a life lond quoaholic
of to hammersmith sat 16th, just watching this, so so emotional. my first quo gigg was back in 77, seen them so many times since, FF right up to present. but the excitment and emotion of this far to short tour is just somthing else
Fantastic show, got right down the front and it was bouncing, yep it was like when I first saw em, Lpool Empire 74, even the top tier were all up, Lancaster played a blinder.
And suddenly the old Quo groove is back . What a huge difference it makes with JC and AL back. AL's bass had the old Quo thump to it and shapes the Quo sound. ALong with JC's perfect for Quo drumming.
@Tedthecamera Alan sings and plays great (as ever) but seems to have a wee mobility problem. Is he OK? I really hope so! This man was such an inspiration to me as a kid - I even bought myself a Mustang bass ;) Ditto on the respect thing!!!
Alan has said in interviews he's never had MS! He had a toxic reaction to hair dye which affected his nervous system that's why he now walks abit funny and has to have his pick glued to his thumb but other than that he's fine

Alan is apparently free of MS symptoms now, but its a hell of a thing to come back from. Brings tears to the eyes actually.
