I’m bout to look under my 05 Silverado and see if mine is there hopefully it is apparently I’ve been reading and told that if your truck was produced past 05/2005 it has a internal fuel filter connected to the fuel pump so u have to replace the whole fuel pump if past then

My 2007 Silverado classic 4.8 doesn't have one. It's probably in the fuel pump

what will happens if I skipped the part of removing the fuel pump relay? I only took the gas cap off.

The system will still be pressurized and will dump fuel all over and spray it when you take the filter out.

Nuts/bolts so rusted the whole thing was rocking and i just didnt want to snap a fuel line trying to rip at it. Any tips?

Just ran into the same problem. One side came loose, the other side was so seized up that nothing would work. It’s started bending the actual filter.

i pulled the rely and nothing happened it never shut off

Was the truck running as you pulled it ? That’s the KEY right there. Needs to be running for both removal and installation of rely so you can make sure everything is proper
