I think that Tac is wrong. That doesn't sound like 11k rpm. Sounds more like 9k, still high. Listen to the sound when it reaches the 7k rpm redline, it sounds like most cars do at 5k.

the tac is right it went way past 9k lol. My buddy had a high comp build 4age ae86 and it revved upwards to 10.5-11k estimate cause it went way past the limit on the gauge
You can here it on that one flyby clip hes well over 10k rpm. Takes a lot of rpm for a 4 cyl to scream like that. only takes a six cyl 8000 rpm to sound like a four doing 12k rpm, so the tach is right on. I wonder how long that motor will last.

It's not hard to shift without a clutch. You just need to have a LOT of practice. You have the rpms just right to go into the next gear without ripping up your syncros.
What's the thing right above the grill in the front that looks like some sort of air intake?
i dont know about much evos but that gearing in gearbox way too close/short for driving,(in the track it might be good) and how about torgue of this engine and rpm for that? or is the all power made whit that crazy rpm?

Rest in peace Mitsubishi Evolution. If they really just stop producting the model which has always been the reason for Mitsubishi being such interesting and good brand all over the world. I swear its the end of Mitsubishi car company. Can't believe they planning to just focus on eco-hybrid-green stuff and forget why the brand is as strong as it is. It's like removing the toilet seat from your toilet. Such a shame for the company as they clearly have no idea what this all means and leads into. Luckily the other japanese car companies like Toyota and Honda saved their brands by understanding the fact. Toyota really needed the GT-86 to prove they still care about their customers. I'm not saying Toyota wouldn't sell good anyway, but there has to be right product for each type of customers to keep the brand strong and looks like Akio Toyoda did understand that. And the is more to come as the legendary Supra will get its follower. So if this is the end of Lancer Evolution, i really hope there is some plans to bring back sport cars. I apologize for my bad english, but hopefully you could get my point.

+Inaccurate Hardstyle its called speed shifting you can do it in any manual car. when the rpm is at the right spot your gears open up and you can shift without clutch. if you don't know how to do it don't lol unless you have a spare tranny, cause it willtear your stuff up even if you know what your doing

Dog box transmissions have straight cut teeth and with the help of the speed shifter (sensor on gear stick) the gear change happens without using the clutch.The speed shifter cuts off the spark ignition of the engine for ms, so the gear change happens without the clutch. Same principal works on bikes because all bikes have dog boxes. If you are experienced you can time the change by cutting of the throttle. If you are not you can fit a speed shifter which helps not damaging the transmission of the bike.

Only cars i don't like very much are muscle cars. Have full respect for them and their history, but they are just not for me. :)

It cant be 11,000 rpm?? sounds compere to other evos like 9,000. and when it sounds like 4,500 the rev meter is above 6,000 on this one!..
but still dogbox have to lift the gas when shifting right? and i did not see he press any ignition cut button ( which i assume its what is it on the shiftter)

It's a racing transmission which allows you to be able to shift without needing the clutch.

This set up specifically is anything but stock but there are plenty of software solutions that allow you to keep the gas buried while stabbing the clutch and shifting. I use it on my DSM link through the check of a box called NLTS (No lift to shift)

870hp at 14pound on pump gas? i doubt that. i also call bullshit on that limiter claim. a four banger at 11k sounds a lot higher than that. tach is out i reckon.
14psi is for turbo boost. Probably for a gigantic one. I do on 32psi (2.2 bar) and 79% duty cycle, but on a smaller turbo. Large turbos spool at high revs. Large flow of air at low psi. However, do not think that it revs up to 11000rpm. Check the speedometer too. Does not synchronize with tachometer as mine as far as it's a 6 speed like mine
I don't need to have heard the car for myself to know that that was not 11k rpm. I tune engines professionally dude, I've dynoed engines like this for years so yeah I'd say I know what I'm talking about. Also, how rustled art thou?
