    What?!? Ollie kickers? Seriously don’t listen to this guy unless you love nose dives. There is a place and time for Ollie’s and it’s almost never over a kicker. The only time an Ollie is used is when there’s a lack of speed and even then the risk of losing stability goes through the roof. You can even seen this goon use less and less of an Ollie the faster he goes. Calculate your speed, keep your chin up, belly button centered, bend the knees and pop from both legs. Tommie Bennett has a great video on this.

    • @SnowboardProCamp
      @SnowboardProCamp  Před rokem

      Wow, I’ve never been called a goon before. Take a breathe dude before bouncing around the internet screaming at people like a banshee. You’ll feel like goon next time you Ollie off a kicker do to a tail grab.

      @twoblipsendurotrips Před rokem +4

      @@SnowboardProCamp bud… I know the easiest way out of this is to call me some internet troll that screams like a “banshee” but my comment is going to stay there. People that end up on this video often do because they are afraid of getting hurt and you’re setting them up for hurt or maybe worse, an E.R. visit by telling them to load up their tail on a kicker. Idk how you made it this far with a channel without understanding what you’re actually doing but maybe you should watch your own footage and see that the more of an appropriate speed you have the less you load your tail. You are going to get someone hurt. End of story.

    Clearly the feeling of speed and the steepness of the terrain can be barely perceived by us who just watch your videos. Could you just point out, p.E. what the speed (in case you know it) and the degree of the ride you are doing during the first minute? To me, it seems like "very flat" and "very slow", but then I try similar natural jumps and I get not more than one femptosecond in the air, great for nanoparticles, not so great for me :)

    • @dsmbilly3690
      @dsmbilly3690 Před rokem +1

      Keep your shoulders level at the start of the jump. Your legs should not effect the movement of your shoulders. Think of your legs like the suspension on a trophy truck. Your shoulders should only follow your legs when turning or stopping. To add weight to your rear you should remove weight on your front foot by pulling it up slightly before the rear then use your back foot to slow the rotation. It is FAR easier to control by trying to bring your knees as close to your chest as your pop will allow. Some boards like Lib Tech have so much pop I have hit my knees on my chest, both their old skateboards and their snowboards.

    Good vid but not so useful if you want to do anything else then 180’s or grabs. This is only somthing i would do on 10 feet jumps. Anything bigger then that you risk alot with the ollie on kickers. Over shoot landings, more air than you would need etc. When it comes to rotations this would probably send you into some kind of flip if the speed is just off a little.

    Please don’t listen to Kevin. Zero reason to Ollie off a jump. Listen to someone like Tommie Bennett. They will tell you clearly why you should not Ollie off a jump. You can get just as good of pop if you know what you are doing. Plus how are you going to set up doing spin tricks if you Ollie? You can do it but much more advanced. You need an Ollie to actually Ollie over things. That’s the point. Or off a catwalk roller or something like that. Well designed jumps are designed to give you plenty of pop if you at all know what you are doing. You should jump off your edge to spin and you get plenty off pop.

    • @monkey6853
      @monkey6853 Před rokem

      If you watch his 180s, he isn't doing an Ollie. You can Ollie, you can pop, why not try it both ways? Tommy does the psycho arm waving thing, which seems to help by throwing your COM up, and stabilising by decreasing rotational momentum.
